  1. I know it's just systems but man you should put Paprium on the list too... also something that shipped before the PM.
  2. Good for you, I'd say you're lucky. I have a feeling there will be people holding the bag on this one, even if they are able to ship some orders. I was on discord and there is a guy on there who just dumped $1k on a new order.... ?
  3. Please let us know if you get your refund. As these companies start getting more desperate, I wonder if refunds will be "delayed" or never appear once enough people start demanding them.
  4. I can see that it does in your opinion, but if you look at his question, he was asking if he should get the flash cart or an FPGA solution that hasn't been announced yet (if ever) and I was providing an alternative FPGA solution. The Pi isn't really in the realm of what this point is (and it's a fine solution for those who are good with the compromises it provides), not to mention it wasn't a drive by as I really expanded the answer with some explanation behind it and even came back to post again when someone else brought up a point. Finally, I even said despite all of the points discussed, I myself am interested in an AES one, despite having a MiSTer, so, I guess I appreciate you posting your opinion, but I disagree with it.
  5. You can't use a simple HMDI to composite adapter? (not a dig, a real question, they seem to be available everywhere).
  6. Well, you could get a MiSTer a lot cheaper and play all the NG games on a CRT or HDTV with no issues. The real question you are asking is, should I get the cart to do this on real hardware? If you want to use the cart and real hardware, get in on the pre-orders. If you are leaning toward Analogue for a solution, it means you want a JB that lets you play games off of SD cards, so why wait, just get a MiSTer today. The NG core is 99.5% right now, I don't even know what else needs to be done to make it 100% to be honest. Also, to me getting the MVS cart to pay on an arcade system makes sense too, but if you are doing it to play a CMVS on a TV... well, MiSTer. That being said, I have all of the above and I'm jumping in on the AES one, just b/c I'm weird an I like using my AES.
  7. Yeah, I clearly have no idea what I am doing! I blame it on old man brain. What happened to BBS'? You young kids and your discord this and braided that...

  9. On Discord I think they are trying to get Kevtris a copy (or he's getting it himself) to look at.
  10. It doesn't seem like he will, but why not put in the bug report an he may surprise us!
  11. A long time ago Kevtris said no there would not as it works and the FPGA is out of room.
  12. No, what you just described is buying a VCR and then trying to get every movie ever made on VHS. If you mean understand a director, then it would be like getting all the Metal Gear Solid games and beating them.
  13. Well, I think it was I who initially painted with a broad brush and I think it holds true. Most people that are extreme into anything usually are on the spectrum. I'm not talking about healthy collecting, I'm talking about gotta have them all, never play them, affects living conditions and social systems collecting. You know, the shit you see with MANY game hoarders, uh I mean collectors. But this isn't about blame or anything, it's more an observation. For me, I love games and it takes me back to happy times in my childhood. Also, I make plenty of money (for me) and don't have kids. I own my home, and drive a car I like. What more is there in life? I can't take digital cash with me, so I might as well spend it on something I enjoy.
  14. While I agree with you, I think there are a couple of things that happen. 1. Not everyone derives pleasure at the same things. For many, social interaction is uncomfortable or difficult. I've noticed this with many collector types, not just games. 2. Some people are trying to fill a void and buying "things" they believe fills that void. I'm going to downsize my console collection shortly, but my arcade collection will be with me until I'm dead! I'll let you decide if I'm a 1 or 2!
  15. I'm obviously joking. I doubt Kevtris gives a crap what I think! Although he did help me a few years ago before he got super busy with my Hi-Def NES and he seems pretty nice and helpful! So, you're locking up your Analogue products? Why not sell them so others can enjoy them and you can get some money back. Probably more money than you spent on them! I'm not sure if it's a language issue or if a maturity one, but you are pretty much the definition of a troll. Maybe this is what you wanted all along?
  16. Here's a hot take. I've contacted Kevtris and asked him to avoid putting this feature in. He said he was about to add it to the next update, but since I asked him politely to hold off he is going to. My reason for doing so? You, just you. I enjoy your repeated posts about how unhappy you are about this and your repeated threats to sell off your Analogue devices and move on, but you never do.... "The only thing that makes me come here and try to get things fixed after years is that I feel like an idiot because I put money on something that isn't half as good as the opensource alternatives that came after it. In the end, I may well end up selling the Analogue crap so I don't have to try again." I want to see more!
  17. WTF is this?!? I don't understand why this happened? Your customs fee is literally 50% of the product?! With shit like that, you can mail future purchases to a friend in the states and they could just forward it to you. I'd be happy to do that for free for anyone who needs help. That's crazy!
  18. You can just hack a 360 and run whatever you like on it...
  19. I very much agree. It's weird to go Genesis and not SNES on a Nintendo based system...
  20. No to your questions and I think the Retroarch front end is OK, but the Polymega one is amazing. It's the cleanest and best I've ever seen for an emulator IMO. Sounds like you need to stick with PM, but I wouldn't pre-order, I'd just wait to buy. My theory is it may not ever ship, and after it does, they may go belly up, leaving them in the discount bin, which would be a great time to swoop in and buy one. Finally, they've pissed off a lot of people with their customer "service", so I'm guessing they will get hacked and the PM front end will get dumped on the internet in short order (if they ever actually release a console).
  21. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/xbox-apps/devkit-activation
  22. Any stock Xbone and up is good to go, but you have to dual boot into developer mode. While in DM, you can't run commercial games, but I think it's pretty easy to boot back and forth. DM does have a one time fee of $19 though (last time I looked into it). As a plus, you can turn a setting on RA and have it actually use the full GPU of the XsX/XsS so supposedly, it's pretty fucking fast. Polymega better hurry up and promise more features if they want to keep their pre-orders on the hook longer. I mean, for $300 you can pick up a XsX that plays all the Polymega games... and M$ games? For $100 less than a PM?
  23. Thanks for the info. So it was an issue (although small)? So did they move the plug over bit on the Noir to solve it?
