It's a Dell 1080p monitor. Thanks for the tips. I'll try out the 4x x 6 and set my monitor to 4:3 and see how that looks later today.
-
The second day. It's so easy. Just stick the files on the memory card and turn the system on. Like, it doesn't even feel like you're jailbreaking it because it's so easy. Once it boots back up you have extra options and can play games off the SD card.
-
Mine is currently doing that as well with the jailbroken firmware.
-
Thanks. That answers the question perfectly. I can't believe how much can potentially get cut off even on a real crt with an actual NES.

I had a quick question about the 5x height option. I am playing Metroid and if I choose the 5x height it seems like it's cutting off way too much of the top and bottom. I'm running it on a Dell monitor. I'm just not sure if I'm missing something I'm supposed to do when selecting 5x. Like it's cutting off the entire top and bottom row of blocks at the first screen after pressing start. Or maybe I just don't know how much I'm supposed to be seeing of the game?

My Nt mini shipping updated from Monday to today! Saturday ground delivery! It's going to be a good weekend.
-
My original didn't yellow but it had a black screen of death issue where it turns on but is just a black screen. I bought a replacement super dirty yellow one for really cheap and swapped internals. Interesting enough the cases/shells were slightly different inside and there was a bunch of metal shielding on the main board of the yellow one that wasn't on my original and I had to slightly modify a couple plastic tabs on my case to fit the main board in. I think my original was a newer revision or something.

Just meant different outlet like on a different circuit.

Yep I just had movement on mine. I got the shipping info on Saturday night at 11:30pm but it didn't start moving until yesterday. Will be delivered on Monday (I live in the US though).
-
Have you tried a different power strip or a different power source or plugging the monitor into a different outlet? Like could there be something weird going on with the power like some sort of surge when you turn it off?

In a couple tweets they say digital. Then a different tweet says they are including the box that is printed the way old boxes were printed. Makes me think physical boxes but digital games. I can't imagine they'd go to the trouble of mentioning the games are included digitally on every machine if they are also included as actually cartridges.

Anyone who has an Nt Mini pre-ordered get shipping info yet from this most recent batch? They said they will be able to ship them out this week but the week is quickly coming to an end.

Can someone explain to me something about the original Analogue Nt? Here is a picture I grabbed off ebay of a red one. On the back it looks like it can output everything but I thought an original Nt could only be HDMI OR Analog? One or the other. Do some of those output connectors just not do anything on this model or was the HDMI upgrade actually in addition to the analog output? Thanks
-
I would guess about $20 of the shipping cost is going into their pockets so that they could hit the $190 price and I am fine with that as I would have bought one for $210 and paid $10 shipping. I mean the Nt Mini must weigh a whole lot more and it was cheaper to ship my preorder. But, when I could walk into UPS or USPS without an account or any sort of contract with them and send it ground for $10-$12 I think it's pretty obvious they are pocketing the extra.

Could the Super Nt have some sort of expansion slot on the back to allow an analog add on card for output? I know it was mentioned they may release a different analog model later but could this one have been designed in such a way you could just have an expansion card connect to the back with analog outputs? I suppose they would have probably mentioned if it was set up in that way or could they still be finalizing a detail like that based on demand? Like if we showed enough support for analog maybe could they do something like that? I'm hoping the fact they specifically mentioned firmware updates via SD card means extra cores are coming. Like it was sort of their little hint to us that it does have an sd card and it can be used for firmware updates...hint, hint...wink, wink... I mean, why have one of your "special" features be that you can update the firmware via SD card? Nintendo would probably frown upon it if it was advertised that it could run games from multiple systems directly from an sd card.

Oh wow. I totally thought you could cancel pre-orders. I think I was thinking of the stone age gamer website and their everdrive pre-orders. I was looking at those at the same time.
-
Can you explain why this is good?
-
I was curious about the shipping price again so I just went through like I was going to pre-order another one and the shipping is $4 less than my first pre-order, lol. My first Super Nt was $30.96 and if I bought a second one right now shipping would be $26.96
-
It's really interesting to me they announced this before the Nt Mini is sold out. I have a Mini pre-ordered right now and they say you can cancel at any time. I wonder if or how many people are cancelling that Nt Mini in the hopes this will play nes games and all those cores?

Those 8bitdo adapters work with any of 8bitdos controllers so you could use the retro receiver that has the NES plug with an 8bitdo snes controller. I have no idea if the controller port is even capable of transferring all the inputs though.
-
Looks like it. Shows a pending charge on my credit card but I am not sure how to know if that would drop off like other pre-orders do sometimes. I am planning on it being a full early purchase though like the Nt Mini.

According to the Verge he has been working on it for 14 months. It also says the entirety of the game lineup is compatible. (Last paragraph) https://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2017/10/16/16459182/analogue-super-nt-snes-console-price-release

At first I was kind of curious why there would be no analog output but the thing is my original SNES can output RGB or S-video already and there are even those HD retrovision cables that can do component 240p so I am fine for CRT on my original SNES. So, really this probably kept the price down quite a bit along with them using plastic instead of aluminum and will be great for HDTVs. That shipping is interesting though...UPS ground is pretty slow but it is priced at like the overnight price.

Oh cool so it has all sorts of options for sync. My safe bet is just to stick with the 5 connectors and leave one dangle then. I suppose it would work if I ever got a different monitor that required two sync cables (I have two of my current model). If my better half doesn't get too upset I wouldn't mind trying to find a 20 inch beast that can take a 480p signal. I am super curious about the 4 connector cable now that you explained it to me though. I'll have to see if my curiosity is worth $8 extra... Probably not The black will go better with the Nt Mini I chose anyway.

I have an Nt Mini pre-ordered right now and in preparation I am gathering cables. In the "Nt Mini Guides" section Analogue links to this cable for RGB https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=566. The monitor I use is a PVM-1354Q which has RGB but with one sync connector (http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/2owAAOSwYmZXKAXV/$_1.JPG). The cables that Analogue links have two sync connectors. So, for my monitor would I want a cable like this instead with one sync connector? https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=568 Thanks for your help.
