I feel like their newer controllers are pretty good. The Sn 30 Pro+ and the 2.4ghz M30 are both really good for me. I wish they would update their DIY kits with 2.4ghz receivers. I know their newer 2.4ghz controllers have different dpad contacts on the PCB than their older controllers so I think the diagonals should be fixed from now on (SN30 vs SN30 2.4ghz for example. The newer 2.4ghz is fixed and has different shaped button contacts)

You can report those but eBay has so far ignored the reports. (When you hit report these are the categories: Listing practices>Inappropriate seller terms>Presale) I also question whether eBay would refund you, that your credit card company might not allow a chargeback that long after the fact and what does that do to your relationship with eBay. Also, Analogue probably won't give you warranty coverage on it which is a legitimate concern as we saw with the MegaSG adapters. There are so many shady things that could happen with these.

I feel like Twitter is your quickest way to get notified of something, unfortunately. I hate that Twitter seems to be the main way companies communicate now. Analogue products sell out way too fast to rely on the email notifications of a website as those probably get sent out at a specified time rather than in real time.

My order went through at 8:08AM after several minutes of shipping calculations. I am curious how many sold. For how short it was up it couldn't have been many. Hopefully they are just trying to stay on people's minds and will trickle out pre-orders regularly until next year and this will eventually be like the MegaSG and continue to be sold. (Though, I still don't understand how they can have a seemingly endless supply of those and the SuperNt goes months without stock and then sells out very quickly.)

I think from past sales the people with their cards getting declined might want to check out your credit card site. It probably has to do with the place Analogue charges the card. I think it might actually be like a Hong Kong location or something which means it might get denied next time too. Some people end up with foreign transaction fees as well.

I modded a GBA with the funnyplaying IPS V2 screen and it is so nice. You will like it a lot.

Remember the Game Boy Micro? Best screen of the GBA series...if you could see it 😂

I don't mind the size so much as I wish they would have made it in the form factor of the original Game Boy Advance. That wider system is much more comfortable to hold for me. It will not stop me from buying one, though.

All of their 2.4ghz controllers come with a receiver that is pre-paired. If this is true they would need to tell us how to pair those to a different receiver which would be cool.

If the dock is just a pass-through type device it might not be too expensive. Like if the HDMI signal is being formed inside the system and the dock just routes it to the TV or to the DAC there might not be too much to it. The Nintendo Switch dock is like $90 new and seems to do about the same thing. Also, the DAC is $80 and has a lot going on inside of it. If the MegaSG cart adapters are anything to go by it is going to be very limited along with the cart adapters that are supposedly going to be available. But, I suppose with shipping it could easily get to $150, LOL.

I don't get them at all. Why be so secretive about it? I get wanting to create demand and hype but the products do that for themselves. Why limit them so much? I mean the only thing they seem to sell anymore is Mega SG systems. I'd be annoyed if I was Kevtris and designed all these cool systems only for them to basically be abandoned after one or two rounds of sales. I understand the pandemic has had an effect on stuff but most other companies seem to have figured it out. Analogue can't even get those adapters produced again and they are something you could make with a 3D printer, Oshpark and Digikey and have to your house in 3 weeks.

How fast is the Pocket going to sell out? Any takers? I am assuming their little teaser on Twitter is regarding the Pocket. The Nt Mini Noir was up for about a week I think and is listed as Limited Quantities. However, no one knew about the new features at the time so I am guessing a lot of people who would have ordered had they known did not. The Pocket is a whole new animal. I think it is gone within an hour, personally.

I just hope the "old" nes core is 100% accurate to the original nes. If it wasn't I am not sure we can expect the new core to be any more accurate regardless of what they tell us as we were told the old core was "absolute accuracy" to the original nes. Hasn't the Nt Mini been allowed for speedruns? If the accuracy of that core is in question I doubt it will be allowed for speedrunning in the future nor would the Noir.
-
I also find it interesting they redid the NES core. I thought it was already an exact representation of the NES? Anyway, I wonder if the original Nt or Nt Mini will be updated with this new core? The fact they mention the DAC works with it makes me think this will end up in an HDMI only model at some point. Otherwise why even bother spending any time on a feature like that for a system that already outputs analog? Couldn't you just use a $1 RCA splitter to do the same thing? A lot of PVMs have outputs as well so you wouldn't even need a splitter for those. I can't see anyone caring about dual analog output. But I could see it being a huge feature in an HDMI only Nt Mini down the line.

Do you mod or solder anything? If you do you can mod your Super Gameboy to fix the timing. It's not really too tough especially the one with the preassembled board. I've used both. The one with the board is easier as you don't have to lift any pins. http://www.qwertymodo.com/hardware-projects/snes/super-game-boy-clock-mod https://www.tindie.com/products/qwertymodo/super-gameboy-clock-mod/#product-description http://soundofsilver.co.uk/blog/#/posts/super-gameboy-speed-fix

It is too bad he is so overextended currently. A lot of the complaints about lack of updates or products going on sale for the older, and even more recent Analogue products, are legit. The product support of that entire company rests on Kevtris. They'd be screwed if he couldn't or didn't want to work with them anymore. Even though it isn't an Analogue product it would be cool to have the hidefnes be able to work with the DAC but with how busy Kevtris is I highly doubt some of his older projects will ever get attention again.

Anyone smarter than me know what was wrong with the original GameGear adapters and if they could be retrofitted with the proper components to make them safe?
-
Yeah, I remember being able to see vertical lines much more than the big horizontal lines that the fake scanlines seem to emulate. Or maybe it was just because each pixel or whatever was really big with a lot of space around it. I am sure it was a super low number of lines or "resolution" (like how PVMs are really high at 600 or 800 lines). I am not sure how low CRTs go but mine were probably the minimum number of lines they could use. I used really cheap Sharp or RCA TVs though and have no idea what technology was used or anything, I do remember the blooming being really bad on one of them...at least I think it was blooming.

I'm still going to guess a plastic NES or Nt in 2021.
-
Mine was delivered today as well. I am at work but my wife says she got it.
-
Yep, got mine as well.

Analogue responded to someone on March 6th about the Game Gear adapters being on time and shipping soon.
-
How did you diagnose and fix your problem?
-
I can't see why they wouldn't do an NES similar to the Mega SG and Super NT at some point. It just makes sense to have those three always available (along with the pocket and DAC but they say the Pocket is limited as well). Or, maybe they have a deal worked out with the AVS people not to make one 🤔. Not sure why they would ever do anything like that though.

I agree. I think it's going to be late 2020. I would say not even 2020 but it still says so on their site so I guess I will give them the benefit.
