Pan Am's fate is sadder that Atari's; Pan Am lasted longer & had more history.

A quesadilla from Fuzzy's Taco Shops, a regional Tex-Mex chain.

I said quesadillas are better, & generally that's true, but Fuzzy's quesadillas are soggy, so if you go there get Tacos. Their chips are amazing tho. Love that white cheddar.

You don't have to use a two command system; you could give players a menu of options. If they choose "Search Area," & nothing's there, display "Nothing Found."

For some reason I can't hotlink to the comic. Anyone know why?

A bit silly, but it works. http://anthologyone.thecomicseries.com/comics/pl/988914

Electronics recycling is probably better, but either option seems like such a waste...

That's a great way to do it! I've always tried to treat it like a Choose Your Own Adventure book, & have never gotten that far. 10.... 20 INPUT N$ 30 IF N$ = "GO NORTH" THEN GOTO 175

I've gotten Great Pumpkin gifts every year since I first saw that special. Usually something small, candy, a toy car, etc. Gotta love mom.

Philosophical question (organizing my collection)
pacman000 replied to RampantOctopus's topic in Classic Console Discussion
It's a console by definations 3b & 4a: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/console But, oddly, not by defination 5, which is specifically about video games. -
RCT 2 & 3 were pretty good, tho they were created by outside developers.

I bought an Atari Jaguar at PRGE. Shoutout to AtariAge

Congrats! -
Do you plan on getting both systems next year
pacman000 replied to Jim Pez's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Weirdly I agree with you too. I'm more concerned about folks insulting each other for liking/disliking the Atari box, or for thinking it will/won't work out. I think the system's a dumb idea, & I doubt it'll be successful, but others don't have to. -

pacman000 replied to Jim Pez's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I'll wait to judge the console, & judge the project today: it's a mess, & I doubt anyone'll get a console on time, or at all. I wish I could like this twice, thrice even. -
Seems like years ago most folks had a "it could've been great if only companies would've supported it" attitude towards the Jaguar. Then they tried to program it & realized why few companies actually completed their planned games.

Curlie Now Has a Patreon If you want to support the community-based continuation of DMOZ, but don't have time to edit, this is a nice place to start. A very nice place; web hosting for large projects is expensive.

Not that short.

I prefer a ton of short levels over a handful of long levels. Easier to pickup & play.

Is this the longest thread on AtariAge yet?

A few months ago I bought Dragon Rage for the PS2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InlYWtmiQB4 Yeah, the eating's a bit too bloody for "T" rated game. It's not great, but I had fun. Basic concept's there, but the story's a little over dramatic, & the controls are sometimes difficult. (Cael turns too wide.) The controls aren't impossible, but it's too hard to make last minute adjustments. Often I find myself on top of something I'm supposed to grab, without a good way to hit it. Only option I can find: fly over it for awhile, then do a 180 flip & try again. Not much fun on a timed level. It's also hard to hit an enemy who's right under you; that's one reason I was stuck on level 4. GameFAQs helped; take out the irk generals before putting the eggs in the nest. There is a map, but the levels are large, so large the map can't show the whole level at one time. That wouldn't be a problem, but the levels also are maze like, & the map's markers only show you the general direction of objects off the map's edge, which can lead you to dead ends. Again, that's not much fun on a timed level. Still, I get to play as a dragon, & I now own a game made by 3DO before they went bust, so I'm satisfied.

Finally beat level 4 !
