  1. Got a comic book for Christmas. Had this ad in it. Does anyone know anything about the magazine in the ad? I can't find anything on it, except for the fact it was advertised in the back of a few comic books in the early 80's.
  2. Clarification: was Bit Corp from Tiawan or Korea? Older sources say Korea, but of late I've heard they're wrong.
  3. Well, let's see... http://heavy.com/games/2015/04/top-best-video-game-art-books-for-sale-print-deals-modern-pop-art-coffee-table-books/ Reviews several video game art books, including one which covers all Legend of Zelda games. Does she like any specific games/franchises, or will anything related to early-90's Nintendo do? Would she be more interested in a book of art work or a book arguing that games are/can be art?
  4. I always liked the Super Mario Land instruction manual. Alright, more seriously, what does your friend like? For history, my 1st instinct is Game Over, but I've heard that book has serious accuracy problems. For nostalgia I'd recommend old game guides. For art...that's harder. I remember seeing an art of video games book a few years ago with a bunch of Nintendo inspired art, but I'm not sure of the title.
  5. https://www.video-games-museum.com/en/sys/110-super-cassette-vision/2/all A collection of Super Cassette Vision screencaps. They do look similar to VIC-20 screencaps.
  6. Judging by the Rocky movies it'll be at least Round 5 before anything happens.
  7. A lot of old game sites, some of which I used and respected, added casino ads a few years ago. Examples: http://tomheroes.comThe 1st issues of the Retrogaming times were hosted here. http://www.smbhq.comLarge Mario Fansite. popular before Wikies took over. Euro-Asia Game Boy had one on their splash page for awhile, and NES Warp Zone had casino ads till they closed earlier this year. Probably just a way to stay open with a limited audience.
  8. The Studio III was released; the tech was licensed to a "Far East " company who made consoles for Europe. Didn't have the RCA name, but it did get out there.
  9. http://www.pelikonepeijoonit.net/articles/an-arcade-trivia-game-powered-by-atari-st Saw this a few years ago & thought it was interesting. It's an old arcade cabinet with an ST inside. Ran some sort of trivia game.
  10. Really Cool. It reminds me of Hot Wheels: Stunt Track Driver Good, no, great work, and I hope you're able to complete something fun.
  11. It's obviously the prototype for Atari's Interactive Fantasy: http://www.atarimuseum.com/otherprojects/lalab.html
  12. Infogrames did release Alone in the Dark. It's been a while, but they were innovative. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alone_in_the_Dark_(1992_video_game)
  13. Couple of articles on this: http://www.platypuscomix.net/interactive/saveyoursaves.html http://www.platypuscomix.net/interactive/saveyoursaves2.html
  14. I think they were just going for "old" instead of "90's."
  15. Interesting quote near the end of the article: We've already lost some online games, like this online Crash Bandicoot Adventure Promo: https://web.archive.org/web/19961222223310/http://www.sepc.sony.com:80/SCEA/arena/crash/pursuit/
  16. Just went there. Interesting that most of the games seem to be sold as "lots;" is it too expensive to ship one game? Also, I just looked up Pokemon and it gave me 151 results.
  17. Here's an archived version of that FAQ: https://web.archive.org/web/20010428143506/http://www.paulbunyan.net/users/wayland/arcade/laststar.html
  18. Finally got another good chance to work on this. Opened it up, sprayed cleaner on the areas Keatah and Turbo-Torch suggested, sprayed cleaner around the pot. Brushed bad looking areas with a small paint brush. Let it dry out. Closed it. Put batteries in it, and it worked! Thanks Keatha! Thanks Turbo-Torch! I'll let it run for awhile, to see if it starts acting funny, then screw it back together if nothing else goes wrong. Again, Thank you for your help! It was greatly appreciated! Thank You! EDIT: Oh...it turns off automatically after 10 minutes. Ok. Had me worried there for a second.
  19. Here's a pic. Looks more like a blue 70's TG16 to me.
  20. Doesn't Indigogo keep less money than Kickstarter?
  21. You can come back even if it doesn't ship. Really, you're nice, and you can hold a good, respectful, intelligent conversation. Not your fault if a project you volunteered to help with doesn't work out.
