What does Game of Thrones and Star Wars: The Phantom Menace have in common? A lot more than you think.
-
I almost passed out during last night's Game of Thrones when Snape kills Jar-Jar! Wait, was that Avengers?

okay I now have the following complete original libraries, channel f, studio 2, gakken tv boy, epoch cassette vision, entex select a game, microvision, vectrex, odyssey 2, atari 7800, 2 away on the 5200 and intellivision, though completing either of those would require finding their 2 rarest games in the wild, though I guess that could happen, I've stumbled upon rarer

When was the last time you've seen anything ColecoVision related in retail? List Date & Year.

Well - it seems my lymphoma diagnosis is such that I'll never get to play my Atari 7800 XM. Kind of a bummer but may be looking for a new home for this soon.

The PC. It's what you move into when you've outgrown toy consoles.

Watching "Bumblebee" and of course the Atari 2600 in the house is playing pong. At least they got the Transformers themselves right.

With all those new flavors of Peeps, the next "flavor" would be Energy Peeps.

Wondering why single player games and co-op couch games are soooo much better than all the newer online games?

I see the last video rental store is closing in our town: Family Video. Can't be the only location they're doing away with.

How long has it been since I've done one of those status message poll thingies? Too darn long! So... "What's your all time favorite portable gaming system?"

Is Google unaware that Atari is also re-entering the video game console market? Surely they will re-think going head to head with such a Titan of industry...
-
After listening to back interviews on the Antic podcast, It's clear that what caused the Great Video Game Crash was the hubris of the industry, especially that of Warner Brothers. Atari was it's own worst enemy.

How come everyone here complains about streaming games but not streaming movies off Netflix which "kills" DVDs? I'm being serious here...

I've found the scalping god! I hope this is a bad joke. http://tinyurl.com/the-scalping-god

No matter how many times they keep reminding me, for some reason I keep forgetting to "Like" and "Subscribe" every single YouTube video I happen to watch. Either I'm getting forgetful in my old age, or I just don't like being annoyed.

There is no excuse for poor butter/margarine etiquette. DO NOT use the knife you just spread jam or peanut butter with to then spread butter, just use a new knife you're getting the butter dirty.

I know they're not, but sometimes computers feel like magic.

To anyone who can, I will pay for a universal power transformer that can power an atari 8-bit and a couple of peripherals, simultaneously.

Most of the items in the vending machine at work are $1.25. But you can't actually put 25¢ into it, because the vending machine doesn't take change. Only bills and debit cards. If you put in two $1 bills, it will give you change that you can't use in it. And if you put a $5 bill in it, it gives you back dollar coins, which you also can't use in it. I didn't know Apple was making vending machines.
