Honestly my 7800 has always worked great. Never had ANY issues out of it. I hear from other owners that their proline controllers go bad, and those are pretty uncomfortable, but I always use either a Sega Genesis controller or my PAL 7800 gamepad. Get yourself one of those and you'll be fine. Its a solid little console and best of all it plays all of your 2600 games!

My 7800's RF box modulator inside went so I did the composite mod.  Sometimes I need to spray the POWER and the other switches with electronic cleaner.

Also they say not every 7800 is the same...Some of the early models like to crawl away from your Atari room when no one's looking,  and perch themselves high up on a chair so they can watch you sleep, but nobody talks about it 🗿
