Good Job Spuds!!!   I've written stories...Mostly for High School or College, and I've started 2, ..Wait make that 3 books...But to seriously see it through to the end ... Seriously,  and I cannot stress this enough,  I am impressed!   The thing here is...I, sometimes anyhow, prefer the independent, DIY touch...I knew (vaguely) this actual published author, writing romance novels for women,...and it just seemed so formulaic.  She was waiting for one book to be published (her 3rd book), and if it was a hit she would keep her pen name, otherwise she had another book in the wings to be published almost instantly under another pen name (Her 3rd pen name,...All at the direction of the publisher)...It was much more, ... , planned, and canned (Hey I rhymed!) than you would ever think...Like, she might as well have been in a Boy Band (Ha!) as far as things being manufactured and contrived were concerned...Ebooks, whatever the godforsaken hell that is, have really helped independent thought get a foothold and maybe have helped to level the playing field,  even if just a little...I hope I sometime find the time to read what you have worked on...Best of luck with it!!

We have a Tupperware/Rubbermaid reusable cereal container.  We open a bag of cereal and pour it in, keeps it nice and fresh for a long time.  Plus it's easier to pour the cereal -- just pop the lid and pour, no flaps to close.  Co's used to do a lot of cross-marketing. I remember in the 1970's when you'd buy a new school lunchbox there'd be some samples inside of gum, candy, coupons for sandwich bags, etc..

We do the Tupperware cereal container thing too.  No more stale cereal and torn-up boxes from our savage monkey children!

Lemme tell you, when they hit teenage years it gets worse- not better.

  5. Supertramp? Hell yeah!

Great band! Even their later stuff from the late 80's onward is excellent for what it is without Roger Hodgson.

  6. Went caffeine-free yesterday. I almost fell asleep at a urinal. I think I might have a problem.

I just have one cup of coffee in the morning...No problem.   Best of luck...If you do start on 'one cup a day'...It's no big deal to sometimes skip a day.  It's no fun, and there may be no reason to get out of bed,  but you won't pass out, or shake, or see babies crawling on the ceiling or anything...Best of luck to you sir!

  7. Oh? Whats this in my pocket?

      An original Odyssey CIB

He had a Commodore SX-64 go through, he let me test that.

      A Prototype VIC-20/1001

Dozens of prototypes and promo/review copies for 2600 games, mainly Activision and Telesys.

He has so many CIB NES systems it's actually funny.

He's got paraphernalia out the wazoo, everything from every generation.

If it exists he probably had it at some point he's been around since the 80's.

Not something I'd listen to recreationally. A bit high on the treble for my liking, though everything after the 3-minute mark I really enjoyed. The drumming is also pretty darn good, he definitely took his vitamins.

Perhaps if the two of you combine and put ants on the eye, the stye will go away? That is assuming you can treat it with formic acid, without the risk of going blind.

I was still making mix tapes in the early 2000's.  My base model '98 Saturn SL sedan only had a AM/FM radio, so I went on ebay and paid $75 or something for a Saturn radio with AM/FM and cassette.  So I would use my CD boombox to record some key songs onto a cassette.  Then in 2004, I got a car with a CD player and no cassette.  Then in 2010 I got a car with an AUX in so I started using my phone for entertainment.

If it's Windows 10 then you'll have to go in Settings to turn off notifications for each app you want to silence or use Focus Assist.

Possibly you can type it in yourself using old school BBCode which the forum still parses, though it doesn't offer shortcuts for.

Like this for instance, which will look super silly if the forum doesn't parse it any longer.

    3. carlsson

      carlsson

So yes, the BBCode is [ spoiler ] your content here [ / spoiler ] and obviously you remove the extra spaces in the tags added here to prevent the forum from parsing them.

    4. DoctorSpuds

      DoctorSpuds

Wow, I was actually surprisingly close when I tried guessing the code.

I'm just using quote boxes instead since they're thankfully collapsible.
