Curious, which version?  You didn't "upgrade" to Catalina did you?  That said, check time machine for an older version of itunes library file and just drag that back... it used to work, not sure about the new "Music" app w/ Catalina.

Nah, no upgrades, Itunes just felt like acting a fool. Still though, that was three hours of my life wasted recreating playlists.

I think I'll be paying for iTunes Match for as long as I live because I don't want to deal with local itunes anymore.

Yeah I liked that one!  I haven't seen any of the sequels, though,...And Somewhere, I have a VHS tape where I recorded a marathon of the Series that was showing some years back...Haven't watched it all, but saw some pieces...Almost forgot of its existence until... a few minutes ago.

Awesome!  I use a Sanyo boombox to get sound out of my Netbook...On the rare occasion it works and I try to watch Netflix, which basically still doesn't work on that screen...

Strangely enough, something similar happened to me.  Package was at the local post office late on Saturday with an expected Monday delivery date.  Come Monday, the package is 2.5 hours away at a massive sorting centre in another state.  Tuesday, the package arrives.  Absolutely no idea why this happened.

There's a reason. We're just not privy to it. Could have fell off a conveyor, could have been mis-read by OCR, maybe it wasn't taken off the truck? Lot's of possibilities. Overall I've purchased many many small things over the decades with shipping by USPS (and to lesser extent FedEx, DHL, UPS) and have had very little trouble. Even when such services are used as the-last-mile by other foreign companies.

We may wait a few days, ummm nowadays...But before they had central hubs, where every plane meets (dropping off, then picking up packages going their way)...It was...Well, just remember every cereal box offer or ad in the back of your comic book, or on TV always said, "Please wait 6-8 weeks for delivery".  I'm sure this is before some people's time.

I had my SSN engraved on the 13" TV that I used during college in the late 1980's.  The idea was that it would prevent theft.  But it became a liability when I was trying to get rid of the TV.  I finally got rid of the damn thing a few months ago by taking it to a recycling center.

Ya know what would be more fun (IMHO)?    If you bought all of them recorded to VHS with commercials intact!   (ducks)...Really!   I recorded some Dungeons & Dragons cartoons and Land of the Lost reruns,etc., in the 80's that way...Back when VHS was new and exciting,  and you never thought you'd be able to capture a TV show and have it available when YOU wanted to see it...and there were occasions in the past where my friends have asked specifically to see those complete with all the old commercials, and In The News segments, Schoolhouse Rocks etc. intact!   It is Truly far more entertaining than watching the same episodes on DVD...(It really captures the zeitgeist of the time)...

So an interesting thought I have on older shows is the look generally has the look of when the show was made.  So original Trek has a 60s look, Battlestar has the longer hair of the 70s, etc.  At first we think "how outdated".  But... trends swing back into fashion every 20 years or so.  So are we looking at an outdated 60s look, OR are we looking at the trends that will happen again in 2270? 

The Reset button for this planet will have been pressed by 2270... any survivors should have better things to do besides watching TV.  ?

Reset button was hit in the original Star Trek series.  (World War III, the Eugenics wars...)  AND they found their way back to 60s hair styles.

I was pretty young, but I saw it in the theater!...I was so impressed my mom actually quoted a couple of jokes from it.  She rarely ever did made references back then...

oh man, i totally did!  we had a set of those Tandy joysticks for our CoCo that were 'non-centering'.  /shudder

@digdugnate Yeah, the original CoCo joysticks were usually terrible for the arcade like titles, however, they were great for the flight sim games and a few others.

My Food Fight cabinet had one of those by the time I sold it...Well I had a cracked rubber gasket in the 360 degree joystick that needed replaced

Does this mean you are diving into the 5200 and its library now?  Looking forward to hearing what you think about it all!  Already noted, you hate the stock controllers... most of us do, but there are a handful of exceptions out there.  Hope you can find alternatives that work for you.
