  1. Just found out about this, and while I heard that there was some drama during the development process, this is still one of the most impressive ports I've ever seen. I tip my hat to you, Bob! This is amazing! You should be proud of your talent! I hope whatever happened during the development process has been resolved, and if it hasn't, then I hope that things are patched up soon and that you continue to do great things! I don't even have a 7800, but I may have to get one just for this if you decide to release carts. Once again, awesome work!

  2. Sure. May be easy or may be hard Can you play paddle games on the Flashback portable?

It might just need the paddle adjusted to use the other port.

Worst case it would need to be converted to joystick control. (blech)

Just realized there is no single player mode, so it would be useless on the Flashback Portable. So nevermind!

  3. I really like Sky Skipper, weird little Nintendo game, but I played the hell out of it.

Just played Sky Skipper, and yeah, it's actually pretty fun. I can't believe I hadn't heard about this one before. Thanks for the heads up! I find it strange though that a really obscure Nintendo game that apparently wasn't that popular got a port on the 2600.

  4. Like others have said, Pressure Cooker is SEVERELY underrated. It's actually my favorite game on the entire system, not counting homebrew games and hacks. I also think Dark Chambers is pretty underrated. It's basically just a poor man's Gauntlet, but I say that as a compliment, considering how much I love Gauntlet and the fact that it's really the only thing that comes close to it on the VCS.

  5. I just noticed an issue with the final version (dated 7-11-1983) of Dumbo's Flying Circus. It plays fine, but since the final version is PAL, part of the lower half of the screen is cut off, so you aren't able to see your lives and score. I was wondering if someone could fix this, as I really like this game, and would love to be able to see my score and lives during gameplay.

Yeah, it can play paddle games as far as I know.

  7. Sorry for bumping an old thread, but on the Atari Flashback Portable, the teeter totter flickers when on the left side of the screen. Was wondering if you could fix it, seeing as how you've fixed practically every other game for the Portable.

  8. Not possible (?) That is the best result I could get for the portable. Delaying or rushing the background color update by even 1 cycle makes it worse (same problem I had with Pressure Cooker).

It's fine, it's not that big of a deal. Either way, thank you! The funny thing is I got my AFP the day before you posted it, which is funny because it's probably my favorite homebrew. I actually just joined the forums, and it's been a great experience so far. Again, thanks for fixing it!

  9. RallyX:

Original toggles VBLANK to create the border. Edited to use the background color register instead (the timing is still slightly off).

Just tested and works great! You are a god! The only issue with it now is that on the very edge of the screen the road sometimes renders in black. It's not that big of a deal, but are you planning on fixing it?
