Received my Skunk Board Saturday. Was able to upload a ROM to it. More importantly able to upload an early small bit of code i wrote that writes directly to address of current line buffer. More advanced code i had running in Virtual Jaguar, is not working on Skunk, due to Virtual Jaguar not correctly emulating the Jaguar. Really nice to just plug a USB cable between laptop and skunkboard (versus 20-30 year old deprecated port connectors).
Anyone having trouble getting the USB drivers to install, make sure you have your PC/laptop audio turned on, and ensure you hear a sound indicating that usb cable is connected. I spent 45-60 minutes trying to debug why USB drivers wouldn't install, only to find out i was using a bad USB cable. Plugged in a good USB cable, heard the sound, and sure enough the drivers installed successfully.
Any chance you could share video of you assembling a Skunk Board? Think it would be interesting viewing for some us purchasers.

In general, I prefer USPS because they have nice flat rates that are easy to quote, (as of recently) reliable free home pickup scheduling service, free packing materials, and I've gone through the trouble of learning to use their customs forms and stuff. However, if the difference is considerable, I'll look into switching. In the past when I've checked, UPS, FedEx, and DHL regular consumer prices have been prohibitively expensive though (E.g., nearly $100 to ship small packages to Western Europe).
On another note, I have even more bad news: There are going to be further delays in building more boards. The last batch of Cypress USB chips I got has a very high failure rate. Over 50% of them are not working so far out of the ~25 I've tried. Sometimes this has meant replacing the chip two or three times on a given board, which has greatly slowed my progress fulfilling orders. In the last batch of four boards, all four of them were broken on the first attempt and had to be reworked to replace the chip. On the plus side, I'm getting much better at desoldering them, but even so, I sometimes make mistakes (I still haven't outright killed a board yet, but I only sell ones with no cosmetic blemishes since I'm selling things as collector-quality items), and it takes about 50% longer at a minimum when I have to rework a board. Worst of all, it's very demoralizing. I build these boards as a means to relax and unwind at the end of the day, and honestly this makes it stressful and not fun. This is extra frustrating because the first batch of these I got from the same company was 100% good, and the two other chips I ordered from them in the same order (The flash and the CPLD chips) have been 100% good so far as well. Unfortunately, they claim they don't have any alternate suppliers for this chip at a reasonable price (They offered me some at $20/piece, which is over five times more expensive), so the best I can hope for is a partial refund there.
I've found another supplier (I think. I'll believe it when it ships) that has some at only twice the price as the originals, so hopefully I can continue making progress once those arrive, but that'll be at the whim of SpeedPAK, so it'll probably take a few weeks at least. In the meantime, I'll get some boards populated with most of the other chips that don't get in the way of soldering the Cypress chip down so the pipeline will be primed.
Apologies for the further delay. I'll provide more updates when I have them.
You holding off on invoices that were requested a few days ago? I'm in no rush. Just want to know if i missed an invoice or not.

Believe you just click the Add To Wishlist link (below the orange price box) to get added to waitlist.
I'm not Al though.

..Al
Can you post the waiting number of specific dates? For example, what waiting list number is on 2020-01-01, 2020-02-01, 2020-03-01, ... 2020-12-01.
Might save you some time if you could do this. Waiters wouldn't know exactly where they fall on this waiting list, but would have some idea of where they fall on the waiting list.

This is a licensed reprint of the elusive Iron Soldier 3 game for the NUON DVD system, and will include full-color DVD wrap, professionally mastered disc, and 28-page booklet. Planning to open pre-orders soon once I figure out a suitable system to use.

Are Nuon controllers available at reasonable price? Or perhaps other controllers can be hacked to work with Nuon enabled dvd players? Controllers looked expensive on eBay.

What is the blue screenshot trying to display? I don't see a repeating tile, shifted by one pixel, for each row of tiles, in the screenshot. Is the screenshot produced after blending with the repeated tiles?
Also, not the issue, but should UPDA2 be or'd into B_CMD?

I am just wondering what companies/individuals have lined up for a 2020 cartridge release and about how many games we can expect as recent years have seen plenty of cartridges released commercially - some excellent and some not-so, but all adding to keeping the Jaguar nice and buoyant.
Has there been any update from VladR about the game he intended to release this year? Believe he demoed something at Portland Retro Gaming Expo, a thread got locked, and then i haven't heard anything about it since.

"How do I calculate the correct value of REMAINER field in a vertical scaled object?"
Do you need to calculate REMAINDER bits, or just initialize REMAINDER bits?
My understanding, from a version of the Software Reference, is:
...that you initialize the REMAINDER bits when create object list and when you recreate the object list after every vertical blank.
...the hardware updates this on a per scanline basis, in between vertical blanks. -
Unsure of your experience with Jaguar programming.
1) Have you successfully displayed other image data in scaled fashion?
2) Successfully displayed other image data in non-scaled fashion?

I've tried to put it to zero, use the same value as the VSCALE field, but all of them have some issues. Some times the OP draw more scanlines(extra scan line with random pixels), or it draws first scan line bigger than the others.
" Some times the OP draw more scanlines(extra scan line with random pixels) "
Are extra scanlines drawn before your bitmap, or after your bitmap?

Off topic, if not related, but...
Was there any relation between World Tour Racing (WTR) and Checkered Flag (CF)? Thought i read one time WTR started off being named CF2, but that seems odd given that WTR was coded by different development company than Rebellion.
Any chance we will ever see source code for WTR?

Any chance we can get photo of vladr and Wave 1 Games next to monitor displaying their games? Would be nice to put face to the game creators.

Yup, sure is.
Any off chance you have a copy of the Primate programming language post? I seem to recall the 32 bit version stepped up to 32 monkeys and an error checking goat. I have searched for that post/text and cannot find it anywhere.

is it possible?
Skunk has a nice function "skunkCONSOLEWRITE".
would be cool to have possibility output debug to VJ's console
What exactly do you want to do? You can pass --alpine command line argument to VJ, and then inspect memory, registers, etc.

Definitely have never seen that bonus round.
Like i said, i always got stuck on level 64, so i probably wasn't that good at game. I would play from level 1 as well, intentionally not completing warp/bonus round, so i could garner as many extra lives as possible for level 64.
Thanks for links,

Oh that's what that is? It's just incorrectly displayed by an emulator?
Can anyone provide a link to a a correctly displayed version of this bonus round?
I'm the original poster. It's been ~20 years since i played heavily, but i don't remember any bonus round other than bacon. Maybe a correctly displayed 'melt-o-vision rings bonus round' video would refresh my memory.
What were the conditions that caused a player to enter anything other than the bacon bonus round?
I wasn't very good at bacon bonus round, probably completing bacon bonus round less than 10 times. If i recall correctly, i always got stuck on level 64, and wasn't good enough at getting to-and-through the bonus rounds to skip past level 64.

That video appears to be the whole game. Which bonus round are you talking about?
If you're talking about the "bacon" stage in the thumbnail, I have literally no idea how you could have avoided it.
Minute 29. Thought i had copied the current time link, but didn't.
Maybe this link will work better:

Am i the only person whom has ever played Tempest 2000 much and not seen the following bonus round?
Never beat the game, but i got to at least level 64 numerous times.
