  1. I just broke down and bought a copy of Tax Avoiders at retail price on eBay and am preparing to do it again for a couple of things.... but would prefer not to.
  2. I can't believe I am responsible for starting this masterpiece of a thread! For the record, no response today from my buyer.
  3. Boss end labels, man! Those look greeeeeat!
  4. Mine does, I am a victim, er, customer of Comcast.
  5. It'll take a lot to beat my $1 Bounty Bob for 5200 at the flea, but I hope I get another find like that someday! My best find of this year was the massive Sega CD lot I bought on craiglist.
  6. I am going to bite the bullet and fill in some gaping holes in my 2600 collection. That's about it for collecting; for playing I will be on the Dreamcast a lot, maybe some PS2 mixed in there. I will probably pick up some used Wii games, Mario Galaxy especially. Portables will be big for me--I have been enjoying playing Gameboy lately, and now have a sweet Nomad thanks to a member here... need to play more Sega on the go! Considering parting with my NES collection, but just don't know if I can do it especially with prices so low right low. Unfortunately I have no desire to buy more NES games (I am at about 150 carts right now). My other goal is to clean my office/game room so that it is super spic and span and make a video tour for my friends on AtariAge and also invite my friends over to play for real, live and in-person. I would like to do that a lot, but I am always in such a transitory mess with shipping boxes everywhere, etc. that it gets kind of outta control. And anyway, people just want to play Wii half the time anyway. I MIGHT take the plunge and but a PS3 or XBox 360, but my wife hates that idea. If I raised the funds by selling all the NES stuff, she would probably come around... I really want the ESPN 3 on the 360, as I watch a lot of college basketball. The PS3 also looks really cool and prices should be dropping. Main goal is just cleaning up, though. I will also have to stop buying stuff.
  7. No kidding. Glad I am on holiday so have time to respond to all of this...
  8. Wow, into two pages already. Well sports fans, I have received an update an the person was NOT KIDDING: I set the buyer links to both the NES game and SNES game on eBay and stressed that I did not have the SNES version. The craziest thing is that they bought this copy of Mario Bros. for $1.04, which is the lowest price at which I have ever sold this game! Anyway, I think this one is going to go OK. Still getting a kick out of it though.
  9. I played it straight and told the buyer they could send it back and I would be happy to send them a copy of the NES game if that is what they are looking for. Eagerly awaiting further communication from this one!
  10. Yup, I am going to say the Virtual Boy as well. I can clearly remember seeing all of it at TRU and thinking nah, I don't have enough cash. Truth be told I was using all the money I had to clean out every thrift store from Providence to New Hampshire at the time, so maybe that was not a bad move after all.
  11. Wow, I had no idea I was that close to a complete unlicensed Tengen collection! I am missing 5 of those. Very nice. I think at one point my rarest NES item was the boxed Tengen Tetris, but it looks like the price has really dropped on those these days.
  12. I will get a pic up, but it looks like all the other ones I've ever seen on the eBay.
  13. Wow, took all the way until page 2 for this one! The HyperScan is definitely something I regret snapping up, along with all the cards. Even at clearance prices it was not nearly worth it. Plus I will never get back the time I spent "playing" X-Men. even the mattel hyperscan?
  14. It's-a alla onna the eBay! Here's a link for those who might be interested: eBay Seller: pdangler-half But keep reading, I have saved from eBay a heavy sixer unit. It is working, but the bottom is kind of odd and my theory here is that the top is from a six-switch woody and the bottom has been modified to fit it. There is a gap between the faux woodgrain and the heavy sixer bottom that is not present on my personal and original sixer. Also the tag say "manufactured in Sunnyvale" and "Made in Taiwan" so I'm not sure what the deal is with that. If anyone would like this for $20 plus actual shipping just let me know. I will also answer any questions you might have about this beast.
  15. OK, OK so I was weak on my threat and here I am a week later... but this is it! Everything in this thread goes to eBay tomorrow.
  16. It's been a terrible sales year for me as well. Getting ready for one last push, but I am not holding my breath. I just sold a beautiful 2600 lot for the starting bid of $49.99; last year a similar one got the BIN almost right away at double that. Sigh. Good luck with the house. We are still saving up for ours.
  17. Well, I was going to start a new thread, but I don't really change enough for new threads! Besides it's not a BAD bump, like I am trying to sell something I had two years ago or something. I didn't even bump it because I wanted people to see how witty I am, wanted to give a fellow AAer his deserved due .
  18. Funny how some things never change, wife is out of town and I have the car during the day and just got back from a drive with 3 boxes of goodies for $50! There was a heavy on top, so I took the whole lot for $50, pretty much sight unseen. Also: lemoncurry's rap deserves further exposure.
  19. Using your first post to sell stuff? No thanks.
  20. I dunno could we have another team if we get another 3? I don't play 8-bit HSC much but I DO love me some PP.
  21. I hate to agree with this, being a 5200 fanboy and all, but the 8-bit is probably the best way to go if you want that "arcade action." Get a nice 800XL for $20 and call it a day. Maybe buy on SIO2SD or Atarimax cart or whatever to play all the games you could ever want on real hardware without flaky joysticks. I am not really a fan of either the TG-16 or the SMS, but I guess that's why I am on AtariAge.
  22. This all looks really cool. Might be in town for SXSW in March, you guys going to do anything special? Al and I lived together for Portland for a very short time about a year ago! Looking forward to the pictures. Congrats, Al! It looks just awesome.
