  1. Pay shipping and these can be yours:

4 Atari 410 cassette drives. They all work intermittently, but no guarantee on these finicky little bastards. In very good cosmetic shape, ready to have their SIO cable harvested if you're into that kinda thing. Can't bring myself to do it.

    Pioneer FT-1250 still for sale.

30 text label 2600 carts for $40 shipped, pic to come.

NES console shell only with 4 controllers stashed inside, $20 shipped or BO.

  2. Picked up another one of these keyboards, now for sale for $10 plus actual shipping from ZIP 94610. Same guy gave me a call, cleaning out his basement again. I also now have a few 400/800/etc. EPROMs, boards, and unused cartridge shells that may well be of use to someone, but I am trying to decide on reasonable price for it all.

  3. BBSB is probably the most valued thing in my collection, made better by the fact I found it in the wild.

Congrats on the complete collection--I remember the last cart I needed was Zenji of all things and looked everywhere for it at the right price and was very happy when it finally arrived. Good luck with some of the homebrews--they are a wicked pain to find!

  4. Fall Down is the best! One of my favorite games.

And so far as Turbo is concerned (other poster), maybe Al is too polite to say so, but I have no problem going so. Are you KIDDING me? Do you know how hard people work on these things? Do you remember how much a 2600 game cost in 1984? Sheeeeeesh. It is a BARGAIN at that price and good fun to boot. I cannot believe people sometimes. Can't afford it, fine. Don't whine about it though, as it does no one any good.

Congrats to everyone who worked on Turbo. It is AWESOME.

I just ordered Fall Down with the Melody cart, and I live around Denton, TX. How long will it take to get one of those made and delivered?

  5. I'm going to go with he's...

...a few cartridges short of a full Brain Game

...missing some ROMs from his Harmony

    ...lacking a few joystick pins

    ...a sprite devoid of pixels

...got a cartridge slot that needs a good cleaning...

    OK, I'm done.

A few fries short of a Happy Meal, I'd say.

  6. Hit the flea market for the first time in awhile today and came out pretty well for $40 total. The first $20 I dropped because it was one of those places that just had a tarp spread out on concrete and a bunch of Genesis stuff just ALL over the place. I asked about the games and she said 2 bucks apiece and I gave her my "you have got to be kidding look" and then saw the console with a 32X and a more games a row over, pointed that out and just offered a nice even $20 for everything that I could get my hands on in the pile (including some random cables that had no relevance). She took it. Everything works, so I will get my money back BUT the cable for the 32X is miss-ing. Always with those things.

EDIT: Wife freaked out, all Sega stuff on eBay starting at 19.99 for the CD and console, with most of the games.... 99 cents for the 32X. See sig for eBay links, also taking offers... when I get stuff cheap I am apt to pass deals along...

Did a lot of walking and then saw these two nifty cases sitting side-by-side. Guy wanted $15 for the Lynx and $10 for the Game Gear. Had another $20 ready to go and he accepted that for both.

Honestly I just wanted the carrying cases the most. Shipping is killer on these things. The Game Gear one is the soft on outside, hard on inside one. My buddy had one a long time ago and I really liked it, been looking for one for a long time. This item came with a PowerBack and power adapter and a few games, nothing of note really. Unfortunately it has the usual capacitor problems, so now I have 3 of these in-house that I need to work on at some point...

And this will sound silly, but I have never HAD a Lynx before. System, power supply, and car adapter included in this buy with the sweet case, but again, no dice on the system. Screen powers up, but shows nothing. Sigh.

I did have lots of fun on a nice sunny day and I don't think I made out too bad at all. Just need to get my screwdriver game bits and soldering iron out and see what we can do.

  7. Re-viewed King of Kong on Netflix Friday for my wife's benefit. She had some comments.

On Billy Mitchell: "That guy is creepy..."

On Brian Kuh: "Are you kidding me? The guy is the douchiest douche, and there's a lot to choose from here..."

On Steve Wiebe's wife: "That woman is a saint."

Overall, though, she really liked the movie, which was somewhat surprising.

  8. I like the Best site. There. I said it. I have found it is best to just give them a call. They are hella friendly and eager to answer any questions. I bought my 5200 trackball from them in 1995 or so, so am a long-time customer, to say the least! A flashy website doesn't mean anything--I have done plenty of work for totally messed-up companies who don't know crap but want a fancy website to make it look like they are "professional". Gilded turds, that's what I say (actually it is what my dad says, but I am old now so I say it too).

  9. They all have the orange square in the cassette bay and I have included a photo of the bottoms for perhaps more info?

I took one of these completely apart (it was totally hosed) just for the fun of it. Very interesting indeed, it's really quite amazing the technology in these. I also gave one away to a friend who does artsy things but I could only get him to take one, so I am down to 4. I also have a completely broken 1010.

  10. I like super crazy fancy packaging with loads of bonus items and stuff. I love my Qb in the wooden box, SCSIcide in anti-static bag, all the Alien Greed stuff, special holiday carts that come in a Christmastime tin box with candy, all that good stuff. The weirder or more unique, the better!

  11. I will send a medium flat rate with everything I have at the moment. Should be about 40 carts. I have 6-7 Coleco--I have more than that total, but a few of them flunked the "no physical damage" check. They seem to be much less sturdy than the Atari brand carts.
