OK, sheesh, we were all noobs once. Raptor, go to: http://www.atariage.com/software_search.html?SystemID=2600 In the Rarity field, select 10 (Unbelievably Rare) from the drop-down menu. Click the Begin Search button. These results will give you a good start, but keep in mind that not all of these carts were commercially released. Any one of these games, however, would fetch a premium on eBay ($1,000+, easy). Beware of reproductions. I myself enjoy using the rarity guide here at AtariAge and hope you will do the same! Another good resource is an eBay completed listings search. Good luck.

NES PowerPak: play ROMs on a real NES system!
phaxda replied to Jagasian's topic in Classic Console Discussion
This should tell you everything you need to know: http://www.sch3rz0.com/nesterdcse/ How do you play NES stuff on the DC? -
NES PowerPak: play ROMs on a real NES system!
phaxda replied to Jagasian's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I know it is bad form to respond to my own post, but I just received shipping confirmation for my PowerPak! Seriously, I think this is a great deal and well worth the cash. I love playing NES on my Dreamcast, but I think it'll be even better on the real deal! I am honestly surprised it's not sold out yet. -
NES PowerPak: play ROMs on a real NES system!

I just ordered one and the PayPal went through, so hopefully they are not sold out. I am a big fan of these carts--I just bought the CC3 for the Inty too. And I love my CC2 and Flash cart for the 5200. -
Best questions to ask when looking to buy an older 7800 on eBay
phaxda replied to rwilloug's topic in Atari 7800
The most important question to ask--well, more of a statement to make--is that you expect the 7800 to be well packed with bubble wrap, foam, etc., because for some reason they are prone to breakage in the mail. I bought two 7800s on eBay and both were DOA due to defective packaging (two different sellers). I finally got my 7800 on here and it was packed with care and works great. (Thanks diggs130!) -
so, six months on . . . did the name help or hurt?
phaxda replied to jerseystyle's topic in Nintendo Wii / Wii U
Speaking as someone who is totally hooked on the Wii--I don't care what the name is. They could name it PoopyGameThing for all I care. I just want to keep playing Zelda, get to the Wii fitness age of 20, and freaking beat Sarah and Elisa at tennis. (Well, not just beat because now with my uber-high ranking I need to completely demolish and humiliate them to get any points.) It's the games that make it and I am hooked on them. -
Ugh. That is a great deal--my snipe bid did not go through on this one. Grrr...

http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?a...;showentry=1020 I feel your pain, man. It took me forever to get it working.

So through a fairly convoluted series of events, I have a Wii on loan from a friend who wasn't playing it very much. I'd played it over at her house and was very impressed. When we went on a big group ski trip, she brought it along and we had a great time with a large group. Bowling is by far my favorite game, even though I pretty much stink at it. I have a high score of 220 and I'd guess my average is in the 180 range, but after almost every game I feel as though I could have done better. Bunch of gameon loan as well. Paper Mario is unreal--I haven't played a Mario adventure game in years and it's amazing how similar this is to the original games, but with completely new dimensions (haha). I seriously cracked up laughing at so many things and the game uses the controller really well. I hated the snowboarding game. It's just too hard. The cooking game sucks. Zelda: will try this after Paper Mario Wii Sports Golf: my second love, after the bowling. I'm a Pro now and have gotten to the point where I am under par every time. I really want to get the Tiger Woods game--I have always loved Golf games and play a lot of TW on the Mac. Other stuff: Forecast is super-cool, reading the headlines feels futuristic, I am looking forward to mingling Miis and all of that good stuff. I left my girlfriend a message on it for when she gets home today. Hopefully she won't notice the little logbook that gives away that I was up until 2 am playing last night. I'd love it if there were more multiplayer options, but so far that's really the only complaint I have. It's just TOO COOL!

EDITED, I NOW HAVE MY OWN WII AND THE NUMBER IS: 0384-2803-0053-9484 Please update on list! Yaaaay! I love my Wii. Phil/Phaxda I have a Wii on loan and the number is: 0842-7873-8676-1101 Not sure when I'll have to give it back and get my own but I really like it. Larcen, I tried to send you a message. No Jags. But just in case my spamming of the Marketplace here isn't clear I have a bunch of crap to get rid of before I move in the summer. (Off to San Francisco!) I have that 5200, a bunch of commonish 2600 carts, etc. Just feeling motivated tonight to try and post some of this stuff and getting Adventure II in the mail has made me feel generous. Honestly, I don't even think the trouble is worth it to a reseller, though. p

I believe he is in Canada; we've tried to work deals before and the shipping has been kind of a dealbreaker for all involved. That said, he's a great guy to deal with; don't want this to be taken as a slam on him (sold me my awesome 5200 paddles and a couple of hacks).

I got about 30 of'em (some dupes) and the AtariAge Store says: "Specifically, we do NOT want Silver Label carts, as those labels are much more difficult to remove. Please do not send us 200 E.T. cartridges!" Does anyone want them? Someone in the US? Shipping is a bit prohibitive. Name your price. Thanks.

I have a 5200 and power supply for "sale" all I ask is shipping. This is because the power supply connection is a bit loose--anyone with the slightest bit of mechanical skill could fix it, but I just need it out of my apartment. Any 5200 noobs who want it, just shoot me a zip code and I will quote you shipping. It's a 2-port; you can use any RF adapter.

i have 55, which is great! the whole package is awesome. i got it at work and work in kinda of a geeky office and people have been admiring the adventure II package all day! can't wait to get home and fire it up.

What is the most money you have gotten for a game?
phaxda replied to homerwannabee's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I told a TI-99/4A game called "Tris" for over $100. It was a huge surprise to me; I'd picked it up in a lot at Savers years before I sold it. -
QF1: Buffalo QF2: New Jersey QF3: Detroit QF4: Anaheim SF1: Buffalo SF2: Detroit SC: Detroit - 40 total goals. I smell a game 7...

Which of the 'last gen" consoles do you own?
phaxda replied to Rhindle The Red's topic in Poll Forum
PS2 for Katamari and sports games (NHL, Madden, etc.) Dreamcast for emulation. I like being able to play Atari and NES on it; rarely play actual DC games. Got it cheap on eBay. -
I love these updates; just makes the anticipation better.

I have actually done this myself, by accident. Someone IM'ed me about it and I changed it right away--was amazed at how many watch lists I activated with that one...even after I changed it, people were still messaging me.

How much gold is in an average Atari 2600 cart?
phaxda replied to homerwannabee's topic in Atari 2600
This is the kind of thread that makes me love AtariAge. It also proves to my girlfriend that I am relatively sane. -
I would like one.! PM SENT.

Selling my entire NTSC Atari 2600 collection!
phaxda replied to homerwannabee's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I think you meant "Sega Genesis has not peaked yet"... Unless you are defending Some Sega games accused of some voyeurism...maybe they were trying got get a look at Sonic the Hedgehoh naked, who knows. Seriously.
