I'll wait for the Marketplace post.

All this talk about moving reminded me to change my address in the AA store because I have moved! However, even though I removed my old address, the order status still lists this as the Ship to: for Adventure II. Will this update eventually? Maybe best for a PM, but I know I can't be the only one to have moved since ordering the cart...

How do you remove cart labels so you can reuse it?

Please count me in for a copy of the forthcoming "Yankee Invaders," aka "Sox Win!" I don't have a problem with the game--I just want the better version

Scratch the itch! I used to go to Raynham all the time--it's actually where I got my 5200 Bounty Bob, believe it or not. Back before I even knew it was rare, pre-internet. That Taunton place was pretty good as well--that's the one that was at an old racetrack or something, right? Didn't know it burnt down. The only place I've been lately is the Savers in Dedham and Goodwill HQ. Nothing there!

indeed. fine deal. just had to say that i LOVE that seller's name. very creative. ("antiquejoystique")

Thank you for bringing the Wii! I totally need one now... It was great to meet everyone. Special thanks to Christian for hosting, homebrew, and the NES pad and Chad for the Genesis and taking some broken stuff off my hands. Had a great time at my first meet.

that's freaking awesome.

Cleaning out more today and I seem to have several 5200 RF boxes for the 4-ports and 2 extra 5200 power supplies. Let me know if you need either of these things. I also discovered that my Genesis is broken--if you have one and would be willing to let it go, let me know. -
man, i am smart enough to keep my mouth shut on this one. looking forward to meeting you in person!

i'll bring the 7800, then! you can just have it--if i needed a console holder i'd take one, but i hate those things. -
That's pretty awesome--I bet AA could sell a fair number of Valentine carts. I'd probably buy one--lasts longer than roses.

As I mentioned in another thread, I have a couple of compact Macs that I am looking to unload--a Classic and SE. I also have a broken 7800 and tons of 5200 extras--really too much to list. For the 2600 I just have box upon box of common stuff and some CIB remote control controllers that I can't use in my frequency-saturated apartment. I also have a Mattel Aquarius that is about THIS CLOSE to going in the dumpster, so if someone wants it let me know. It's all yours. I'll try to do some organization and take pictures if anyone is interested. Ask about other stuff you may need as well. I have A LOT of crap. My game room, er, I mean my office, is a mess. Oh, I should add what I am interested in: 2600 uncommons, 5200 conversion carts, and I am in the market for a Vectrex multi/flash cart. Probably just buy that one, but in case anyone is looking to unload one I will have cash on me. i am also looking for something very specific: sears pic label carts that have different titles than their atari counterparts (even if they are the identical game) or as atari carts are available only as text label (i.e., flag capture). i like the pictures. let me know if you have any. i already have sub commander and arcade pinball. -
I will be there! This will be my first meet, but I think I can get the hang of it. I will bring some snacks and good beer and my girlfriend (crap, I mean fiance), who is not a huge gamer but IS a good sport. If there are kids there she will play with them and when we get home we will have a huge discussion about when WE will have a kid. (Someday, just not like right now, OK?!) Ahem. Sounds awesome and I am looking forward to it. I will post trade stuff in the other thread.

Just in case anyone in the Boston area is looking at this, let me know if you want a Classic or a SE (dual floppy). If you're going to the trade meet, I can maybe even bring them there. I have one set of ADB peripherals that go with the classic and would trade both machines for a case of good beer. Or a stelladaptor--that's a great trade idea. They are nice little machines that need a good home. I'm keeping my color classic and Classic II, though! Should I start my own thread for this--it was just that Paranoid's post reminded me that I had these items available. Didn't mean to hijack, but I think we have similar goals, i.e., landfill rescue.

ditto. finally got a chance to play this, been going for a while now and my fingers are sore. crapped out at the monster trucks--i am not sure how much better i can get at this. it requires the kind of logic that i am pretty bad at. lots of planning, decision-making, route selection, etc. memorization. aaagh. why must it be so addictive? seriously awesome job on this game. hats off to all involved.

All sorts of different items for sale, some not avail. ...
phaxda replied to CPUWIZ's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
man, it is; i've been keeping my eyes open for one of these in the wild for years. not usually into label variations, but i like that no-title thing. i won't clog your pm box with a lowball offer, but i'd be curious as to what constitutes a decent price for such a fine item... It's a very hard to find re-release label of Vanguard ©1986. -
38 bears. JellE took my original pick

So... I have been having fun playing a little of that Non-Infringing Russian Block Game and also at the same time, I have been playing lots of Tringo on Second Life. I don't know if anyone here has ever played Tringo before: it's a game played with Block Game-like pieces on a 5x5 square grid. The simple object of the game is to make rectangles or squares with the pieces. Anyway, between the two I was wondering if Tringo could ever be done on a classic console. It seems simple enough, but I am no programmer and know that these things are rarely easy. I'd be interested to hear if it would even be considered possible. Still, I just thought I would throw it out there as an idea. The game is now available on Gameboy Advance & received some notoriety for being the first game developed in a virtual world, etc. I believe that the original author, Nathan Keir, has retained all the rights, etc. though. Anyway, I enjoy this game and thought it might be a neat project for someone who was programatically inclined. Just to make it clear: I am not idea-pedddling, I don't expect anyone to make this game for me or give me credit or royalties or anything. The only thing I expect is maybe everyone to tell me something like "are you serious? No way to do that." You can read more about Tringo at: http://triki.tringoweb.com/triki/tiki-inde...ge=WhatIsTringo Among other places. Also, if anyone here codes in Second Life, I have an idea for the game that could possibly be a "Tringo-Killer". I've been mainly looking within Second Life for a partner in this, but I know there's a talented group here!

so i have been playing tringo in second life. i have a weakness for puzzle games and this one has grabbed my attention lately. plus, i like that you can win fake money playing it online. i'm fairly decent at it, but have been meaning to pick the game up in cart form for my gameboy micro. cheap, so i was looking on ebay and yesterday lost an auction for the cart and manual for a total of a little over $10. didn't want to pay more than that. so yesterday i dropped by gamestop and they had tringo, used with instructions, in the box for $9.99. made me happy.

How on earth do some of you guys pick a game to play?
phaxda replied to Ross PK's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Sometimes I put in my Cuttle Cart 2, hold the controller down, close my eyes, and randomly push the fire button. Or I just play Fall Down or Adventures of Tron. I am getting very good at both of these games. I go through phases. Some time ago I was playing RBI Baseball just about every night. Katamari always gets me addicted and I usually have a sports game season going on the PS2. I play lots of Tringo on my Game Boy Micro. I don't need a video game butler, but I would like someone to clean up my gameroom and do the dishes. -
I am not playing this ROM--waiting for that sweet cart so i can feed it to my hungry 5200! REALLY looking forward to it--thanks for making something so cool!
-
i have one that i'm not using so much. what's a fair price for one of these?
-
I have a Symbian phone (old Nokia 3650), so I use the Gameboy emulator for that to play all my ROMs. Mostly Tetris and Kirby Pinball. http://www.vampent.com/vnes.htm

Oh, I am so in for this. I was awesome at it back in the day, but I have not played it for some time! This post here to remind me.
