I am selling my 7800 doubles. All are complete with box and manual. Good condition. I can say with a fair amount of certainty that there is in fact a Cuttle Cart community. My PM box was eventually overflowing with people willing to help out. Just to repeat: I am all set with the files and my CC2 is working great. I need to work on customizing the menus just how I want them and upgrading cart software, but everything is just wonderful. I can't believe I've gone for so long without this great tool--if anyone is on the fence about getting one, go for it!

I have a set of EPROMS much like yours, but they didn't come with a cart--just the bare adapter. The homeade cart actually looks kind of cool! I was totally scammed on my purchase of the chips--the seller said that they were "prototypes" and also advertised the included Atari as a heavy sixer. It wasn't. I eventually got some of my money back, but it was a pain... Anyway, the really funny thing is that the handwriting on your chips looks a lot like the handwriting on my chips, and they are also color-coded with the sticky dots (to tell which adapter to use). Wonder if they came from the same place?

I sacrificed a 7800 BallBlazer that had a beat up label and cart case. I've been saving it for years and never knew why... There was NO WAY I could play this fine game without the kick-ass music.

I was the guy who made the original post, and Paranoid helped me a lot. So did the member who sent a nice zipped file to my Yahoo! account. I really appreciate it both of their efforts. I've only been a member off the CC2 community for a few days now, but if anyone else ever needs help, I'll be glad to give it. First piece of advice: RTFM! I have a 16 MB card and didn't know I had to reformat it first...duh. Anyway, I'm a big believer in not duplicating work. In the case of the CC2 I'm not scared to do the work, I don't lack the knowledge (the manual is great), but there are mitigating circumstances (I work on a Mac, which makes it all a tad trickier). To even get started on the Mac I had to wade through some 18 pages of posts on the CC2 thread, find the menu generator program someone had compiled under OS X, try to figure out what software I need from the CD, where the ROMS go, etc... You can maybe see why I eventually just posted on the thread and asked for a disk image. Bottom line is, someone sent it to me and I'm thankful for that. They've saved me some time and headache and now I can get down to the business of playing Ballblazer. With NO sound? What the?! Haahaaa. Looks like it's time to throw a POKEY chip in there. Note that I will not ask anyone else to do this for me; it's a fun task for a rainy afternoon... And as for not ordering from the AA store, well, I've bought every homebrew I can get my hands on for the 5200, and a couple for the 2600. Not to mention the contributions I make to many an eBay seller. If anything, the CC2 has me MORE interested in collecting carts. Just some thoughts (pre-coffee). Thanks to everyone who gave me a hand. I appreciate it--and I appreciate this community as a whole!

OK, I'll be the first to ask it... If I order items (over $50 worth) from the sale this time, will you ship the items that I'm still waiting for (due to the Adventure II delay) along with that batch? I'm excited about Adventure II, but I'd really like to get my last order before I go ordering anything else. At this rate, I might not see Reindeer Rescue until NEXT Christmas.

Finally have critical mass to post my personal list of great traders. When I say great, I mean it! Super-friendly people here. First off, Albert and AtariAge in general. When I bought those first homebrews, I wasn't sure how fun they would be, if the store was THAT good, etc. They are indeed that good, the games are great, and many thanks to AA for making it all possible. I bought some out of print homebrews from Rob Mitchell. He gave me a great deal in my first non-store AA transaction. I bought a 5200 setup from diablomozart. Another good deal. I bought a bunch of great NES games from 64squares and he took pictures of what I was getting, which was a nice touch. They were super-clean, well-packed, and a bargain. So when he decided to sell of his Cuttle Cart 2, well, I was all over that. Quick shipping and another great buy. I bought a bunch of Imagic 2600 carts from Mindfield's massive sale. It was hard to not buy more, what with his insanely great prices. Most recently, I traded a 5200 to diggs130 in exchange for a 7800. (To go with the Cuttle Cart, of course!) This was a great trade, and while everyone I've listed here did a great packing job and I don't want to take anything away from them...I have to give diggs some serious props for the way that 7800 was bundled up. I'd told him the one I bought from eBay was DOA due to poor packaging, and that sure wasn't going to happen with the console he sent! A co-worker saw me unwrapping it and said: "What's in there...a small child?" Just sold some 7800 carts to Chickybaby and everything went smoothly. Truly a pleasure to deal with! Neglected to mention my dealings with Shawn Sr. in which I bought/traded for his Pac Pollux and also bought a set of 5200 paddle controllers for a great price. He is a nice guy. Just received some 5200 conversion carts from CPUWIZ, whose excellent (justly earned) reputation precedes him. Good deal, thanks! Also, let's toss a mention in for the awesome Christmas cart--even my girlfriend loved this one. Sold some carts to n8littlefield, who was very nice to deal with and let me know when the package arrived and that everything was cool. Ditto for that PressureCooker2600 guy Happy to sell you carts anytime! rklastleft taught me a little bit about good karma, so I paid his generosity forward. What can I say about my recent trade with BigO where I sent him a 5200 cart and he passed along an authentic and totally kickass Jimmy The Greek signature calculator. Completely unexpected, but Jimmy and I are very happy together! jboypacman is super-nice and I know my SMS went to a loving home. Sniff. And when I found some new games, I knew where to send them Thumbs up for accousticguitar. Sent a MO quick. theking21083 will surely enjoy his new 8-bit carts! Great buyer. Trade-N-Games is a great dealer for those carts that you may need to fill a few gaps in your collection. I'd been looking for a copy of 2600 Private Eye and he had one at a reasonable price. Just got it today (along with a few other carts). Not only was the shipping super-fast, but the label on this cart is awesome. Could I have gotten it for a little cheaper on eBay? Maybe. But it was well worth saving some hassle and getting it from a reputable source. Also in the dealer section: Atari2600.com is truly awesome. They will always go above and beyond for you. H.E.R.O.--I am a recent onvert to this masterpiece 7. Missile Command--more nostalgia 8. Ice Hockey--something about this game just cracks me up. It's very Zen. 9. Crackpots--just one more... 10. Super Breakout--practice for Warlords. Homebrews: 1) Fall Down 2) Go Fish!

Seaquest is my favorite 2600 game. I have also been playing lots of Go Fish!, which is my favorite 2600 homebrew at the moment (until Adventure II and Fall Down arrive, anyway).

I HATE this. It happened to me with a Zenji cart that the seller listed as for the Atari 5200. Well, it was hard to tell from the picture on eBay, as the cart displayed was identical to a 5200 Zenji cart...except it was about half the size. I believe it's the Commodore 64 version. Anyway, the seller was pretty nice about it and refunded most of the price and told me to keep the game. At least that Enduro one is obvious.

Ha, I meant to post on this earlier. I have the TV/Game switch shirt from Glarkware, and they have the "girlie" one on sale now. Ditto. I love my slimmie PS2, and I still don't have a DVD player--it works just fine. Definitely worth picking one up. I've had no reliability issues at all and I use it a lot. The network gaming is great, too--especially if you're into sports games.

I never leave feedback until the buyer has received the item and leaves positive feedback regarding the transaction or sends me an email to let me know that they have received it. Just wanted to let Wester know that he's not the only one. If something goes wrong in the shipping stage, I want a chance to correct it as best I can without having previously left positive feedback. This way I can say something like "buyer was friendly and honest" and really mean it--I think that means more than "paid right away." When I buy, I give feedback as soon as I receive the item and test it. I certainly don't expect sellers to give me a positive just because I hit the "Pay Now" button in a timely fashion. What burns me is the "private feedback." I just received a DOA 7800 from a seller with the private feedback, and I don't think it's even worth negging him for it.

I just obtained a Cuttle Cart 2 from 64squares (great seller) but the 7800 I had planned to use with it was DOA from eBay. From a seller with "private" feedback. Grrr. Anyway, I'm all Zen about it now, but I've decided I just don't want to deal with eBay for this. So. I am looking to trade a nice 5200 system with switchbox/power/flaky controllers (you know how it is) for a similar 7800 setup. And, if anyone wants a broken 7800, drop me a line. I will also trade the broken 7800 for a working 7800. I have positive (non-private) feedback on eBay, and a few people here have dealt with me as well. References provided upon request.
