It seems the deluxe edition sold out quick, even before the basic edition. Who scored a deluxe edition?

Actually if I am not mistaken I think I was reading somewhere on Atariage that someone picked it up from Stone Age Gamer at the classic console and arcade gaming show this past Saturday.

I love it. I spent the afternoon with my 6 button genesis controller, mega7800, 7800GD, and E.X.O. cheating shamelessly and effortlessly with the 7800GD. What a wonderful device!

I'll have to dig up my AtariVox+ now. Maybe this initialization thing was why it never seemed so save scores for me.

That was it! Thanks! Now Dragon's Cache saves my high score and I can do game saves in E.X.O. I ran Asteroids (I think it was Asteroids Deluxe 7800 NTSC). I initialized the HSC in the 7800GD and all is good.

Are there any ROMs in Trebor's 7800 ROM pack that I can play in which high scores will be saved when using only the 7800GD? I tried playing the Dragon's Cache ROM but my high score wasn't saved. I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong or if only high score is saved if you purchase a cart as opposed to playing a ROM?

I don't recall if I had a choice but I ordered on 7/15 and I chose the 9.99 GBP "worldwide shipping" option. Does the 7800GD include a micro sd card? If not I assume a sandisk 32GB one would work.

Interesting. I realize it is out of stock as they haven't received them yet, but I think the very first time I visited their page the controller option wasn't crossed out and later when I visited again it was crossed out so I found that inconsistency confusing. Their shiny label looks cool though.

Mine is in the mail! I ordered from overseas. I was going to order from stoneagegamer but their order form had the controller adapter addon option crossed out last time I liooked.

I don't think the display issue has manifested for me over svideo for the game I noticed it on, but I may be wrong. Unfortunately as far as I know, Assembloids, the game that the screen blanking manifests itself on, hasn't been patched. I actually own the Framemeister, OSSC, and retrotink 2X. I might look into the 5X sometime in the future. If i can ever find a quality tube at a good price I may go that route as well. I used to have a 27" I got rid of years ago as space is an issue for me.

I believe the 7800GD only reproduces the Maria (7800) graphics so it's not an RGB solution for 2600 games.

The 2600RGB isn't a silver bullet as more than a few 2600 games don't have a stable scan line count. When connected through the 2600RGB to a converter/display this manifests itself as the display losing sync for a moment and the picture blacking out for a brief moment. At least it does for me and it is a bit inconvenient.

The 4 leads on the switch are bent I assume to better grab the circuit board holes they go through. This is different than a straight lead going through the hole. This can cause a slight bit of solder to hang around those bent leads causing difficulty in removing the switch. I recommend clipping the leads off the switch with "flush cutters" to remove the switch. Then you can remove the solder from each of the 4 holes one by one to clear them. (As opposed to getting all the solder clear of the 4 holes simultaneously in order to be able to remove the switch.) Once all 4 holes are clear you can push in the replacement switch and solder the 4 leads. Hope this makes sense.

Seeing all of these other purchases makes me feel a little better. I already placed 2 orders and am toying with the idea of placing a 3rd after looking at everyone's choices here. This is definitely going to be a brutal month for personal expenditures... Good thing the 23rd is only 10 days away.

For now, I think the only realistic solution is for you or your agent (for example Atariage) to keep a perpetual listing on ebay and perhaps etsy and the like for carts that you wholly own the rights to. With an infinite supply at a price that you set, you will effectively control the resale market.

Any tips on level 92? This is the first level to completely stump me. It seems I need to have a guy fall into the 1 man wide hole with the gold in it on the bottom of the screen but i have only seen this happen twice in like a hundred attempts on this level and i can't recall how I lucked into that necessary happenstance. Please help! And thanks in advance.

Tastes can differ but i think you made good choices. Among those games I played I liked zookeeper, draconian, assembloids, doggon it, and I also ordered Mappy and Lady Bug among others.

There's a ROM somewhere that gives you infinite lives. I still lost on the last screen since i couldn't solve the puzzle in time.

11340! I guess you need to get lucky and clear the board a few times since it gives you an extra life when you do that.
