I absolutely despise advertising, I quit watching broadcast TV and listening to the radio because of how oppressive it is to be bombarded with advertising all the time. I don't answer the phone if the number isn't in my address book. I politely inform cold callers that I will never use their services because they are spamming my front door. Billboards on the side of the road ruin the look of the environment, I boycott any company that uses them. I run extremely aggressive adblockers. If a paywall stops me reading any content, I find that content elsewhere. This is why I appreciate the option to subscribe so that I can pay for the services I want to support.

Well I've checked one, 25MB/s Write, 85MB/s Read, wrote a 15GB image to the card and verified it ok. I'll do one more but I think they are probably OK EDIT: Second one exactly the same. I'm happy.

Not a million miles from this by the looks of it. About the same time period too, end of the 8 bits, into the 16's It also looks like it takes carts similar to hucards and it seems to be a bit bigger than the pc engine

Is the 3D model available anywhere? I was about to do one myself and was looking for plans in higher detail than the one I easily found and I stumbled onto this!

I also say the mcufriend display is problematical, I even single it out as one to avoid in the tutorial I wrote. I'm not saying that the display is bad, or that it has anything wrong with it. I'm saying it's not one that works with the Sdrive-Max so is to be avoided "for this use case". I shouldn't have to specify "for the SDrive-Max"; we are all discussing it in a thread about the SDM and my tutorial is about the SDM. In context, this display should be avoided if you don't want to struggle making the SDM. I'm sure the display works fine for other projects, just don't get one for an SDrive-Max. Do we really need to get this pedantic about it.

Aliexpress has been as reliable as Amazon for me, just a LOT slower. 99% of the time I get what I ordered and it works as I'd expect. Sometimes what you get isn't quite what you thought it would be (for example I ordered some Genesis control pads recently and the ones that turned up were about ¾ genesis control pad size) but I've never been stiffed, any problem with a thing immediately gets another one shipped or a full refund. For ebay the experience drops to 90% reliable but I never try to buy anything that seems too good to be true.

That $1 saving looks less and less worth it by the day...

We are both subscribers, I wonder if being in the subscribers group somehow excludes us from the members group and only members get the button or something simple like that.

It was I who wanted one but I didn't complain about the condition of that one, it seemed reasonable but had 5 days left on the auction. Since then it has doubled in cost and given that there are still 4 days left to go on the auction will probably reach the same cost as one on fleabay. @slx has kindly stepped up and offered to measure the 8 points I need measurements for so I don't need to go and buy something I'll never use.

I wonder why that button doesn’t appear for some people. I’ve tried safari, chrome and firefox on macOS and windows and chromium on Linux. It’s not the platform it’s something to do with my account I expect. If someone with the the button could post the link it follows I wonder if that would work
