  1. I have a beige reel arriving on Monday, how close the match is I won't know till I print it. There are lots of beiges out there, people use them to print dinosaur skeletons and stuff like that. Dark brown was hard to get, I've a feeling the one I ordered is going to be a bit light, hopefully it'll be close enough.
  2. The top of the 1010 has some finish issues, it wasn't quite flat. I've fixed that and need to reprint. It's huge but looks great! Back to no stringing issues, I think that was just a side effect of that print being shifted slightly!
  3. I was getting zero stringing until the last print where I changed the combing setting from 'everywhere' to 'not inside skin' It's printing again now (just the 810) and even with that still set I'm getting none at all again. I don't know wth that was all about. Aluminium extruder, stiffer springs, dampers, improved ptfe tube and connectors and BLTouch all arrived this AM, i can't install for at least 7 more hours. nervous about the bootloader and marlin upgrade for the bltouch
  4. I'm thinking of making an SIO2SD next with dual SIO sockets. No reason not to have both, right?
  5. Hotend hit the binder clips, screwed up the XY positioning for the first few layers. I got loads of stringing between the pieces, I turned off combing inside the skin to try and stop visible scarring on the surfaces and the stringing was the result. Maybe I need to play with zhop instead/as well
  6. Not just any sausages... best sausages! I loved living in Germany for the friendly people the Sausages and the Beer
  7. SDM fit is now spot on. PLA ordered. Haven't tested the 810 or 1010 yet.
  8. How is ATASCII being handled in html and txt?
  9. There are a few on TV https://www.thingiverse.com/search?q=SIO2SD&dwh=475d39f5b0e28b4 for a couple of different versions of the SIO2SD, none of them particularly attractive or Atari styled. Certainly nothing as sexy as the ones @flashjazzcat used to do, as seen here even crude Atari styled cases are only available on ebay.
  10. I'm definitely getting some interesting patterns in the print. This is the bed side and this is the top When I am happy with the model, I'll try one at 45 and see how it comes out. I've been trying to avoid all the wasted pla from the supports.
  11. There are some buggy atr files with 256 byte boot sectors, it shouldn't happen but at some point in history some sio2pc type device was doing it wrong.
  12. Can you post a pic of one of your 45' prints? I'd like to see how that came out.
  13. Test print #2 Stylus still doesn't fit, made the hole bigger again. I forgot the supports on the front and drive close bar, it all sagged a bit there. Added supports. Everything else fits great, I've added a little more room just to allow for Chinese manufacturing, if my screen is wonky, yours may be too! I've been fighting with slicer profiles, I've tried CreAwesomeMod, Magic, Disney etc. none of them are as good as the defaults so I gave up with all that and went back to the build in settings... with a couple of 'secret sauce' tweaks by me. Print time for the 1050 is a little over 10 hours It's looking pretty good. Time to order coloured PLA!
  14. I'd be happy to make cases for these but I don't have one. If anyone is willing to send me their SIO2SD so I can model it and send it back, send me a pm. I'll make Atari styled cases from the model and release them to the community.
  15. Bonus points for the non-ironic use of 'amazeballs' in a sentence
  16. This is all PLA so minimal shrinkage, I did print in draft so the tolerances are a bit looser too. The problem is this is my first time doing this, I didn't leave any room at all, there was literally no room for error. From the looks of it after filing, sanding, scraping etc, I need very little, maybe .1 of a mm all around. I've adjusted my negative space model so it should all have a little play now.
  17. Wow the cost of 2.8 inch screens on eBay has gone up, $20 on ebay, $8 on Aliexpress free shipping, just have to wait!
  18. Everything is just a bit too tight. The UNO wont slide in because there isnt enough space in the USB/Power holes, the screen doesn't go in when plugged into the uno because they stuck the lcd panel on slightly twisted, the stylus doesn't quite slide into the storage hole etc etc etc The changes were thankfully pretty minor to make, except for the front panel and silver name panel parts which I had to completely redo to avoid some supports, when the printer finishes printing my new GBS8220 case I shall be having another test print. Yes that is a crack in my shiny new screen, I broke it during the filing/refitting stage ?
  19. I didn't need to do anything You've no idea I don't believe you have either. Put up or shut up Finally!
