  1. Sorry 'bout that. I have been working non-stop on the mega sg since earlier this year. I am doing 12 hour days, 7 days a week. There's only one of me so unfortunately so I haven't had a chance to go back and do anything on the those yet. I still want to port the intv core to the nt mini and do some other fixes as well but it will be awhile yet.

Glad to know theres still interest. No need to apologize. Take care of yourself!

  2. From a few of the articles Ive read, it sounds like Sega CD support is built into the FPGA. So, with a jailbreak, wouldnt that mean you shouldnt need the Sega CD attached to play the ISOs? Also, its been suggested that the goal is to have 32X support eventually implemented into the FPGA. This seems unrealistic given that the Super Nt doesnt support any of the more complicated expansion chips.

  3. * Controller reading- this fixes street racer's "cannot be used with superscope" message, game genie blowing through the title screen without stopping, and I hope star fox 2's "use original controller" message. I do not had this cartridge, so I hope someone can test this for me that does and verify the fix works for it, too.

I will test this as soon as I get home from work

Edit: Ill be testing using a Stunt Race FX cart that has the SNES Classic ROM of Star Fox 2 flashed on it. It worked on the older firmware as long as I didnt have a controller plugged in upon boot

  4. Kevtris, I just remembered my 8bitdo wireless reciever lights remain lit up and flashing when the NT mini is powered off. Because of this I used stock controllers most of the time. Does this occur on the Super NT also? On an original NES or SNES they turn off when the system turns off. I hate having to unplug them after each use. My NT mini also buzzes if they are plugged in when the power is off.

    Thanks

If you contact Analogue about this, they will send you a new power supply. Mine originally did the same thing, and the new power supply completely resolved the buzzing/hissing sound.

  5.

This is not true. Units are just arriving (and still arriving).

These are not preproduction units with preproduction software.

My Life In Gaming: So yes, a Super Nt episode is indeed in the works! This is final hardware, but we can now say that we've been testing out a prototype since December!

Perhaps this is where the confusion stems from? Seems like some have had access to prototypes since December, but are just now receiving final units for review.

  6. Wow, I was regretting not purchasing the clear one. Not so much anymore. I went with a black one and a gray one (with purple) to match the Nt Minis I have.

Sounds like it may just be a bad angle/lighting issue. According to John: It looks really good in person. Better than the website shots.

Of course, what better means is subjective. Ive asked him to share more pictures.

Edit - More pictures here (still looks cloudy): https://twitter.com/dark1x/status/956963979636731907

  7. I think they mean the state where you've loaded a core (or you're in the NES core by default) but haven't yet loaded a ROM. IIRC once you load a ROM, you can access the menu to choose a different ROM, or go all the way back to the main menu to change cores? I may be wrong but i think the loaded ROM keeps running while you are in the menus. So i think what elevengames is asking if there is a way to just terminate the currently running ROM and go back to the state where no ROM has been loaded. I'm not sure if this is currently possible but I also don't really see the case where it would bother me, personally.

Yes, this is the state I was referring to.

  8. Regarding the Analogue NT Mini - is there a way to quit/exit/unload a game without switching games, resetting the system, or changing cores? I've had the system since February and haven't figured out if there's a way to do this.

kevtris - You are a living legend. Thank you for doing what you do.
