Hi! I just got a FinalGROM from arcadeshopper (Thanks for the great service!) with a pre-loaded SD card. I'm getting no other choices besides Basic. The first two tries , nothing. The third time I started the system, it showed the folders, but when I hit the key, the screen went to a cyan background with 3 black dashes on the right side. I checked the SD card after several more failed attempts and it is readable on my pc. I have a biege console with copyright 1981. I cleaned the contacts and I have no problems with other cartridges. Is this the same QI issue as above?

Thanks! I appreciate the help. I've tried Convert9918 a little bit. Can you then bring that image into Magellan to modify it? Or is there a character or pixel editing feature in Convert9918? If I understand things correctly, a nice thing about Magellan is that the Map can be bigger than the screen and you can scroll in a program to "see" more of it. I think I've got several more questions forming in my mind, but they are going to have to wait until tomorrow.

Is it possible to bring in an image to use as a template? Either for the whole screen or in the character or sprite screens. Something like a jpg. i'm not the most artistic person, but I could usually color inside the lines. I'd like to bring in a graphic of a board game to help in laying out something on the TI. I've enjoyed seeing the progress of the Royal Game of Ur and I'd like to try my hand at a different game's board.

Thanks, Lee! You are probably right since the playground download link takes you off Atariage to a German site. I have downloaded several other things from here that haven't flagged, so I think the this domain is less "little used" than the other one!

Came back "No engines detected this URL," 0/67. Looks clean I guess. I was able to download (MS Edge)but I had to "Take the risk" . I ran the demos in Classic99 with no problem then.

Just tried in microsoft edge. Mcafee adviser says "woah, that download is dangerous" It says the domain aa-ti994a.oratronik.de. It gave me the option to download and I checked it with windows defender. It found no threats. i guess I'll gn on from here. Thanks for the help!

So, I am running Opera, I have turned off my virus protection and firewall and shutdown Malwarebytes. I don't see any virus protection active anywhere. I'm still getting "virus detected". I'm not sure what program is throwing the message now. Windows defender is off. Any ideas?

I've been trying to download Playground from the develpoment resources page. I get "virus detected". Has anyone else had this happen?

Thanks, Lee! So, if I were to stick an appropriate sized rod in the hole, the motors would spin but the belt would stop? That is what was happening. So I guess my cables or the console aren't transmitting the appropriate signal since with the remote plugged in I can't record or load. I just verified it with both cables. I guess it isn't a problem since I can do both save and load by leaving the wire out. Just trying to understand.

Thanks for the info! I'd like to add a recent experience I had with a recorder. I recently got a TI that included a TI program recorder. The recorder seemed to work fine until I plugged in the cables into the recorder. Everything froze at that point. I took the recorder apart and it looked like the belt was slipping. I unplugged the cables and the player started turning again. I plugged in the cables one by one starting with the white then red then black. It stopped when I plugged in the black remote wire. Then I realized that the cable wasn't plugged into the computer. That didn't make any difference, I just thought it was interesting since there was no way that an unplugged cable was sending any stop signal to the recorder. Anyway, I just undid the black cable and have left it out. I am manually starting and stopping the cassette. I also had an issue where no recording was being made about 3/4 of the time. Turned out to be a bad recorder cable. I've had no problems since I switched to a different one.

The game has been working great in classic99 since Tursi's fix. I haven't gotten real far (no dungeons) after about 2 hours of game play, but it seems stable. Adam, do your comments mean I might still have trouble when I get to the dungeons?

I am unfortunately not smart enough to find the debug log. However, i have copied the last four line from the debug window. It looks to me like Opry an Ksarul were trying to lead me down the right path with the FIAD and sector access comments. How do I get a disk image mounted instead of the FIAD version? The four last lines from the debug are listed below Seek past end of file GENERATE Failed reading max 254 bytes DSK1.GENERATE on drive type FIAD Setting file error 5 on file buffer 18 Releasing file buffer 18

I get a lot of weird characters of many colors (several pages) when i try to list. No obvious data. Got it from both versions i ran. When i open dsk1 in classic 99, it lists all the disk one files for legends. I copied the unzipped files into the dsk1 folder in classic 99.

When I try running Legend 1 in Classic 99, I get I/O ERROR 25 IN 17990. I am assuming I have a setting wrong. My first try was using the archived files on WHtech and used the Archiver to pull the files out of the compressed file. I figured out that to get it to autoload it needed to be on DSK1, but when it runs, I get a title screen, then the above message. Looking around here, I found this page and tried to run using the files found here. I got the same result. Does anyone have some recommendations?
