  1. I've got one Wish Listed for Canadian Amazon (giant link below) ...... I agree that I hope My Arcade haven't panicked about the SD card stuff and are going to change things. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0BT36XWTS/?coliid=I2BDKKC5ENMFS5&colid=M44QK4SA7RDS&psc=0&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it
  2. When you get yours, John, we'd LOVE to see a few alternate USB controller attempts
  3. So GenXGrownup says many types of controllers should work on this thing ... I wonder if there's some way to get a steering wheel of some kind hooked up so I can play Night Driver the way it was meant to be played?
  4. I totally would pre-order but as is tradition they don't ship to Canada. Nice!
  5. I noticed GenXGrownUp showed off the joysticks for the new My Arcade GameStation over a week ago mentioning he had the console in his possession. But then he reviewed everything else EXCEPT the GameStation and has been mostly silent now (except the Atari news about AtariAge). I wonder if My Arcade told him to nix any reviews and there has been a problem with supply or something? His silence has me concerned.
  6. Anyone know if Konami are allergic to releasing any of their titles in this form factor? I'm sure Frogger would sell like hotcakes and I would love Scramble or Gyruss from New Wave Toys in this scale.
  7. Here's hoping they take out that awful flashing when you hit things. I know, I know that's the original ROM but much like Cool Toy I don't remember the arcade machine flashing quite so badly and it's still a deal breaker for me.
  8. Hi there dude, just tried it out today on my Retroid Pocket. Pretty challenging and has potential. It's a good thing you said here what the rules are because it's not obvious in the game what you're supposed to do. Maybe also put a title next to Score and Lives so a player would know which is which? Seems super easy at first but I got to the third level and got into what you're doing here .... keep up the good work!
  9. The show was fun, definitely going again next year .....
  10. Nevermind! Figured it out. The root of the folders. In other words, if your device allows you to insert an SD card like mine, the ROMs need to be on the root of that path, not in a folder on that card.
  11. Hi there, sorry for this stupid question, I did try googling it and came up empty. I just downloaded the Emu2600 XL app for my Android phone and although it launches fine, when I tap "Select ROM" it shows me that my ROMs list is empty but I can't for the life of me figure out either how to redirect that path or find the folder it wants on my device. Where should I place ROMs for Emu2600 XL to see them or how do I point it to where my ROMs are stored?
  12. Very cool! Thanks for the recommendation.
  13. Much as I like the notion of this kit ain't no way I'm bringing glue anywhere near my Space Invaders. I hope they hear Glen's idea of another version using screws as I'd be more inclined to try that.
  14. Well having found this chat from 2018 it looks like getting an adaptor for my existing CX40 is the best way to go. I'll likely be getting the Retronic one, I guess.
  15. Hey that's pretty cool! Initially I was thinking someone would post a link to some el cheapo but durable CX40 device but since you're asking for suggestions, I can't deny there's a part of me that yearns for a controller I can plug into my PS5 for playing the Atari 50th Anniversary Collection cuz playing some of the classics with a PS5 controller just ain't cutting it. In that scenario then it would be even nicer if the controller could also have a paddle. Playing Breakout with the touch pad sucks.
  16. I realize this must have been answered a lot, I did search online and didn't find anything definitive so I'm asking. What's the best Atari 2600 USB controller for RetroArch ... or is it better to get a 9-pin to USB adaptor? I doubt I'll be playing many paddle games or driving games, my major preference is to have something like a classic CX40 on a shelf that I can plug into an Android OTG cable for using in RetroArch (more specifically this is to use on a Retroid Pocket handheld running RetroArch but maybe I'm wrong and that is technically Stella?). I've checked reviews of the Hyperkin Trooper 2 and heard bad things. Seems like there's a ton of cheap knock-offs out there so does anyone have a recommendation? Or do you all assure me my better option is to get an adaptor for my existing CX40? I worry about potential lag with that idea.
  17. Fantastic stuff, and my hats is off to you Thomas for amazing wizardry. There's no way to add some A.I. to this is there? To make it a single player experience too?
  18. Apparently they finally fixed the ST II cab but it's not something we can flash our existing units with. Need to re-purchase. So ... good news for those of you still on the fence maybe?
  19. Great, yet another joystick game that I can already play on my phone. What happened to the unique control scheme games? I guess there goes another year my bank account doesn't need to worry about.
  20. Being in the original was already mentioned in Cooltoy's video. The word "annoying" should clarify why there would be a point in patching it out.
  21. I skimmed through, did he mention anything about how that annoying flash is reduced? See Cooltoy's review from a couple years ago to see what I'm talking about
  22. Darn. The touchpad is really not good though. Heck even Breakout is barely playable. Someone's gotta make a custom controller for this version (hint hint to all the builders out there ... GRS etc)
