  1. I just did all my shopping without leaving my chair. I also got everything cheaper than retail and got out of paying sales tax. Now I don't have to go to the Flu infested stores. I just wait on everything to arrive.

Thank you, Doctor. That's the prescription that we all needed. Not that we can stave off this "progress"/sickness, but at least we can be aware of it and see the symptoms before it hits us all.

A toaster can toast toast, but it just makes it darker and more inedible...yet it's possible. Toast a piece of toast. It's redundant and wasteful. Refried beans actual works.

It all sounds too good. Until you emerge from your pod/home and realize that there are no brick&mortar stores...or any buildings at all. It seems that businesses paid rent and employed people and needed physical customers to come down to the stores.

      Oh what have we wrought?

  4. Got a TeleMarketer call yesterday. She kept going on and on, so I said, "Shut up! Listen!...My friend just arrived...I gotta go! He's an astronaut and he's on his Launch Break!"

Interesting. You're very introspective. You may not need a therapist at all.

You are not well and a secret agent?

Has someone given you sodium pentothol?

Blink once for yes and twice for no.

I will get you out of there, you can count on me!

You're a riot, GoldLeader. Very funny.

@CPUWIZ - That's criminal that they're bombarding you with that amount of calls. You have to get a burner phone BECAUSE of the Telemarketers? Wow.

I remember back in the early 2000's and the National do-not-call-list, and I signed up and it got way worse...and my fax machine would blow up ONCE I FAXED it back as SPAM. These calling rooms don't play by any "rules" - never have.

I like it when I'm bored (like now) and hear the "boiler room sounds" and I know what's coming. They ask to speak to the head of the household or the business owner, etc. I suddenly revert to a blithering idiot and ask them inappropriate questions. Fun times.

Hey, it's open mic night at the AA Forums!

Speaking of AA (not Atari Age)...

Why is it called Acoholic's ANONYMOUS? Everyone tells you their name as soon as they standup...and the group immediately replies by naming the person.

So. this is real? I thought that it was a depressed poster/blogger. Good luck with everything, StanJr - I won't mourn, because I never knew you, but I've learned something.

  16. Intel's 10nm process = 100MT/mm^2. Too confusing? It means Intel's manufacturing process is so sophisticated that you could put an entire 486 microprocessor inside 3 grains of salt.

Seems that the tail end of my post was deleted. I tend to trail on, so maybe this is a built-in feature of this website? I'm good with it. I ended that diatribe with "I'm not done with silicone, I'll always own an ATARI800 and Amiga 1000 = I love the retro. The physical and the challenges therein.

Well, silicone has limitations...and I'm shocked that they've gotten dies down to 10nm. That wasn't supposed to happen due to normal thermal dynamics. The heat and electricity and smaller gaps...creating cascading shorts..anyway, the move is to molecular stuff. Graphene and similar tech. Samsung now has a Graphene battery that charges 5 times faster than any existing battery and is about as dense... the materials that are coming out are changing the playfield - silicone is out...

It's all bravado and d!ck-wagging at this point. The media is always showing us the latest and greatest way for us to destroy ourselves. I remember the Hullabaloo about the CERN project - yet we haven't created a black hole to suck the Earth into yet....sure it happened to alternative timelines, but this Franko ATARI is fat and happy here on a version of Earth...

Holy Guacamole, Batman - that's so incredibly tiny. That "486" comparison really puts things into perspective. My head reels..and just when I thought that Moore's Law was dead.

I'll agree with an earlier poster - I've liked Del Tacos down here more than the generic Taco Bell's. Calling Taco Bell "mexican food" is almost an insult to evry person on this planet.
