  1. And I paid $1,000 for a NEVER USED, MINT Coleco ADAM that was missing parts. When I complained he said that if it wasn't in the picture then.... Nowhere in the description is a mention of anything other than telling what the game does. Nowhere in his listing is a game cartridge, manual, overlays or box. It is an exact copy of an advertisement. I am not saying that he is a ripoff but people beware of ripoffs and one other note. If this guy has such great rating then he obviously knows how to sell on EBAY. So why wouldn't he show actual product. Are you buying a boat or just a picture of a boat.
  2. More suspicious deals. This just shows a picture that looks like it was cut from a magazine. Nothing other than the picture...No cartridge, no box. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ken-Uston-Blackjack-Poker-Colecovision-1982/264503120479?epid=56246715&hash=item3d959d525f:g:-bUAAOSwNSxUylF-
  3. Thank you. It wasn't what I expected but adds to the history.
  4. Thanks... I don't have a FB account so if you could repost the manual here that would be awesome.
  5. Q-Bert's Cubes...$600 or so dollars. Because of course, it's "Rare" Oh, lucky you...It comes with free shipping as well. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-CIB-Qberts-Qubes-Colecovision-1984-Complete-W-Box-Insert-Manual/372805773350?epid=56235891&hash=item56ccf4a826:g:mvgAAOSw7KFdjC2m
  6. Rocky: Battle the Champ was the original name of the game before Coleco changed it CollectorVision just made this version to pay homage to the original name of the game. Pay homage or Pay day
  7. I had no idea that I would create such a buzz over Rocky. I am glad that I could contribute and keep the conversation going. Now maybe some of you guys can read and comment on my other posts such as Cartridge and Box Templates, OS9, Manuals.... I get a lot of reads but no responses when really all I need are links even if they are inside Atari Age. Like the Cartridge Label Templates..great for the Atari 2600, not so much for Colecovision.
  8. Great news....He dropped it to $45k One lucky dude can walk away with this and only for 1/4 the price of a decent house. Get it before it is swiped up.
  9. I already know about Colecovision Box Art http://www.colecoboxart.com/colecovision_repro.htm However I could not find on the site specifics. I wanted to start production of my own boxart and labels for my upcoming games and I was hoping that somone on Atari age could give me already produced formulas. Maybe some sample material ect... Label Dimensions? Font if any...Type of label maybe current product you use. Sticky, how many colors? Printer type? Then the same with Boxes and Manuals. I wanted to be as authentic to the original Colecovision but using modern materials and printers even if I have to buy them instead of outsourcing. Come on guys, you have been doing this a long time. TIA Keep Homebrewing alive.

    Roblox

Here is an interesting stupidity about ROBLOX and MineCraft... As much as I love 8 bit graphics there is a reason why we evolved from them. Now not only has there been a push back to 8 bit they do it in 4K... Something is seriously wrong with people.
  12. I know this is the Colleco Auction Watch but this gave me a laugh. Someone glued a Cloak And Dagger sticker onto an Atari 5200 Cartridge and had the balls to ask $75 + shipping for it. He even says that it's a movie prop REPLICA thus avoiding all requirements for authenticity. I'm sorry, just funny as hell. Now it's $65....It was $75 when I emailed and asked him more info about it. Before he changed the listing he even said it was just some random cartridge. https://www.ebay.com/itm/264493938203?ul_noapp=true
  13. I read about this but only a brief description. Walters software Is there such a thing? How far did it go? If so why not expand this into the new ADAM OSX? Anyone want to fill in the blanks.
  14. Not my sale... Colecovision Expansion #1 claimed to never be opened. Always looking out for my buds... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-ColecoVision-Coleco-Vision-Expansion-Module-1-Sealed-NOS-Never-Opened/163900638902?hash=item26293d46b6:g:UPsAAOSwnSJdlc9O $80 starting bid + shipping
  15. Another one...$70 + shipping. Can't vouch for this either, just passing the info. Unexpanded, definitely older version. It only shows the CPU and a single cable in the picture. No mention of any accessories even the keyboard. AS IS. I pass this kind of thing up in a heartbeat but if you have the bread, need parts and with no guarantee https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Adam-The-Colecovision-Family-Computer-System-AS-IS/174058963542?hash=item2886b90256:g:178AAOSwhbZdgBRS
  16. I'm thinking that this is Bill Hicks listing from Retro System Rescue... It looks like his work. Whomever it is I can't vouch for them but it's an ADAM Console and Keyboard with internal power supply. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Coleco-Adam-2410-Console-keyboard-with-installed-internal-power-supply/183986330678?hash=item2ad6709c36:g:xF0AAOSwPsFdm4Fx
  17. Did Milton Bradley license Gremlin's Blasto from the Arcade? Not every jumping Platform can be copywrited to one company or person but I bet you that you have a monkey throwing barrels Nintendo is going to have lawyers scream at you. You could almost say that Miner 2049er is Unique because you have to paint the girder you are on. But can Bill Hogue sue because Make Trax is similar? Every time I pick up a dot on the screen is Namco going to holler? I still think that Led Zeppelin ripped of Spirit and they won in court because they had better lawyers. This could also be the scourge of Home Brewers because these big companies have deep pockets compared to us. So you could be 100% right and legal but get one cease and desist letter and you have no choice but to cave because just taking a pee in a law office will cost you $150.
  18. Got it for Christmas when it first came out. 1981??? I mastered it and probably lost part of my hearing as well. I then installed a dial to lower the volume that also turned the sound completely off. You can play it on MESS/MAME which faithfully recreates it in 4k Glory.
  19. Here is a prime example of someone who has zero clue and thinks just because they have a good looking box that it is worth something. You can't tell if it's complete, it's missing Styrofoam pieces and it's been used. Not to mention a really yellowed keyboard. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Colecovision-ADAM-Family-Computer-System/123931178788?hash=item1cdadfb724:g:cZsAAOSwwS5dmpd8 A $1000...I don't think so.
  20. I bought a never used system for $1000 The guy owns FUDDS gaming and he forgot to mention that this "NEVER USED" did not come with manuals. So, if you were to sell it, be up front about everything. He shipped by dimensions of the box and not necessarily by weight. Keep the Data Packs SEALED....That is a sure sign of NEVER USED. Same as no wear or magnetic dust on the data drive head. The Rubber feet, daisy wheel ribbon, the oil, the dust rag for the oil, the way the video cable is bent. The condition of the Box, the Styrofoam, if the box comes in the original shipping container. Yellowing of the casing, keyboard being the worst. All of these factors contribute to the worth and value to collectors. I just posted someone else ADAM for $169 + cheap shipping so they are a dime a dozen. Value comes with use. I personally have 11 as of today that I am modifying, upgrading and reselling. The type of Manuals you have are from the older version. The Data Drive you can tell by the screws holding in the motors what version and if they were prone to breaking down. If it has a spring to eject the tape, the shape of the sensor pin, beveled spindles... Which revision press control R at first boot screen. R80 was the latest commercial release. Accessories like Modem and Memory expander are a plus. Disk Drives are prime targets especially if they are CIB "Complete in Box" Why when you can now use virtual disk drives. Around $130 or make your own for $20 I know when I bought mine from FUDD I tested it and immediately it went up in white smoke. So selling never used means do not use or test....You are not breaking any rules and if it doesn't work then you are stuck. These machines were give and take. They broke down all the time but I have found some that lasted the test of time. I have one that was rusted through and through but a tiny bit of work and it's running fine. I will say that I will NEVER buy another system like this for $1k or trust another person off EBAY. I'll never trust FUDD's gaming ever again that's for damn sure. And last...don't get suckered into thinking that all this stuff is valuable collectors items or you may go broke and disappointed.. This "Nostalgia" crap is all artificially kept high but in the end it is what you want to pay for it and can afford. Remember...It's like a Star Trek convention...Fun to visit but it's a business in the end and those sellers are there to SELL. So, just a few tips and advice.
  21. What my wife doesn't know... BTW...Just checked...IT'S Gooooooone! I knew I should have grabbed it.
  22. With shipping is under $160. It looks like the latest version and complete as far as being put together. Miner parts missing including the box. Not my sale but to anyone looking for a good ADAM. I am really tempted but I have 9 already. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-ADAM-ColecoVision-Family-Computer-Tested-and-Works/153673302614?hash=item23c7a48256:g:-vkAAOSwCH9dmPmr
  23. I was 11 when the Atari 2600 came out. ANYTHING that came along was brand new and exciting, stuff that can't be appreciated now with this generation of people. Hell, I thought the Atari 2600 Football was awesome because all I seen before that was Pong and the hand held games. With that frame of mind you can understand why these games were so popular no matter what. When Coleco and Intellivision came out is when things really started stirring up.
  24. No, I have many Roller Controllers, not CBS. I knew there was a CBS Colecovision and funky looking carts but I didn't think they were like Star Fleet and have to put their symbol on every damn thing in space.
  25. I have 1 in the box from when I was a kid and 3 or 4 sitting around.
