  1. The 5200 version was/is the best way to play Defender at home. The analog joystick and 2-button controls make this very smooth to play. I couldn't imagine holding a joystick in one hand and reaching over to hit the spacebar(Smart bombs) or any button(Hyperspace) on the computer version . Awkward controls to say the least....
  2. Absolutely crazy to pay that much! Hopefully this gets released somehow/someway in the future 👍.
  3. I don't see it on this list. Must've missed it somehow 👍.
  4. I don't see Intellidiscs in the AA store? Still want to buy a CIB. Thanks 👍
  5. Dropped many quarters in the Pole Position Cockpit Cabinet back in the day! It was the highest grossing Arcade Game in 83/84. Also translated extremely well to the 5200 and the CX-52 joystick. Great work with everyone working on making the GSP even better!
  6. I can see where Scrapyard Dog and F-18 Hornet would bring in the most. DK and DK Jr are bringing in over $100 each. Same with Mario Bros. But I don't see $2000 worth of games in this lot.
  7. At this rate I would say no: https://www.ebay.com/itm/226038306752?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=kkJaQfNVTou&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=1JYwYfN6Taa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  8. Love the UV lighting on the cabinets! Looks like you had a fun vacation. Wish there was something like this around the Pittsburgh area 👍.
  9. In my case I was never interested in owning a 2600 (bland graphics) or the Atari line of computers which only a few people I knew owned a computer back in the day. We went to the local mall arcades to play games in the late 70's-early 80's. To me the only system to offer the at home arcade experience was the 5200. Go to the arcades, play your fav game, purchase same game for the 5200, play at home! That's what I wanted back then and the 5200 provided that and still does to this day! Pacman would've been a better pack-in game but it was already 2 years old by the time the 5200 was released.
  10. $471.88 just for the cart? Crazy! https://www.ebay.com/itm/386714182358?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=lryjq4gztiu&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=1JYwYfN6Taa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  11. Here ya go: https://www.ebay.com/itm/325958828683?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=1Veh9H6uQ4i&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=1JYwYfN6Taa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  12. With Tank Command selling close to $700-800 for a CIB, I wouldn't even consider paying that amount of money for a crappy game "just to have a complete 7800 collection".....🙁 https://www.ebay.com/itm/186152556122?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=lY-hSK6lSk2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=1JYwYfN6Taa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  13. This one's only $900 with a fake repro box 😂 https://www.ebay.com/itm/404598694625?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=doaohx6frb2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=1JYwYfN6Taa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  14. Paid $44.95 in 2012. I sold it for $88 in 2016 on eBay 👍.
  15. I'm all for starting auctions at .99 cents and letting them sell for whatever buyers are willing to pay for it. The funny thing about this auction is that I was the original buyer of the 49/50 cart. Purchased it in 2012 then I sold it on eBay in 2016. Now someone thinks its worth $450 🙁.
  16. At least they threw in the "or Best Offer". 😂
  17. Here ya go: https://www.ebay.com/itm/225828995324?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=1Veh9H6uQ4i&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=1JYwYfN6Taa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  18. I agree about Mean 18. I had both Mean 18 and Tank Command CIB but have sold/traded both off 🙁. Another one is Rampage which is selling for a good bit of change these days....
  19. Good luck finding a reasonably priced Tank Command. I would be happy with just the repro copy! Ebay has gotten so ridiculous now that you could easily pay $150 or up on at least 10 Atari 7800 CIBs/Carts. So happy to have purchased the 30th anniversary 7800 cart# 2 which has 8 7800 games which are getting very expensive these days: Contains eight 128k games 1) Basketbrawl 2) Ikari Warriors 3) Mean 18 Ultimate Golf 4) Midnight Mutants 5) Ninja Golf 6) Scrapyard Dog 7) Title Match Pro Wrestling 8 ) Water Ski
  20. Looks like a new user made a comment to the topic and a few people replied? What's the problem boss?
  21. I just wanted to add another pointless reply... 👍
  22. I agree with this 💯. The 2600 should've been cancelled in 1982 and Atari could've concentrated more effort into the 5200. If they would've reduced the price of the 5200, made it compatible with the 2600 carts on release and had self-centering joysticks it may of had a 4 year life ending with the 7800 release in 1986. Look at all the prototype games found for the 5200 after it's demise. Should've been a great system but Atari seemed to rush the 5200 to market just to compete with the Intellivision/Colecovision. Why have all these divisions competing against itself at the same time with the 2600, 5200 and the computer lines? Sounds like greed and bad decisions making by those in charge at Atari. The 5200 is still my favorite system even with all the "failure" labels attached to it 🙂.
  23. This might work: https://www.ebay.com/itm/266440098737?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=LgrzGGpZSDe&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=1JYwYfN6Taa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  24. Looks like a pretty cool device! SD card to download additional games: Wow! Would definitely purchase this before the Atari 2600+.
