  1. Using the tipi clock for other applications is a useful extension. A reminder / alarm function is also on my to do list for my menu program
  2. MEGA MENU v1.8 - Update: Apr/14/2019 Today I release the version 1.8 beta of my menu program. MM18.zip and the updated documentation: MegaMenu18.pdf To install the updated version without trouble, please copy the new files from the MM18.zip file into the TIPI.MM folder. Your entire menu configuration is retained. Changes to the last version 1.4 are: - multilingualism for English and German Now it is easy to create other language files maybe in Italian, Spanish or French. If you look at the new updated MM18.dsk, there are some new files: 1. MM-SETUP setup for language, language-file, printer and screen copy counter 2. MM-GER German language file 3. MM-ENG English language file - new menu screen commands CTRL+P for print screen and CTRL+S for save screen - Speech Synthesizer support for program start, print menu screen and save menu screen I added that because the load time and the screen dump times have become very long. I hope that will improve a lot if I can compile the main program. TIP: If you edit the language file with EDIT40 and add your name at position “T002$:” after the colon you have a personalized menu system with your name in the greeting line. Here is the complete package with all programs in DSSD 80 TRACK disk image files. An Overview of the DSK content and the copy paths is in the pdf on page 10! MM18_disk_images.zip
  3. I played a testgame with your last version and it seems the computer AI has become much stronger. The gameplay is very entertaining and exciting. Thank You for this fantastic game
  4. See the attached zip file with the MEGA MENU program and a copy of some games and applications I got from this forum. To install the program please unzip the file in your TIPI folder. This will add some subfolders named in the manual. MMTIPI.zip Enjoy the program and have fun trying it out
  5. Hello to all here in this phantastic forum, today it is time to share a small programm to access a lot of games and applications in an easy way. I named the program "Mega Menu" it is currently in German but I add a manual in English and it works only with a TIPI system from 1.0betav34 and RXB. So I know I have much room for improvements. But the program is not just another menu program. - It shows date and time from the tipi system - The program shows the RXB version used - There are three screen displays with 30 menu entries each - It shows the mapped folders to the drives DSK1, DSK2 and DSK3 - Use CTRL + 1 to 3 to change the drive mapping from every screen - Use CTRL + D to catalog DSK1 - 3 - Use CTRL + C to configure your own programs in the selection screen or make a individual submenu For more informations please read the MEGA MENU Manual MegaMenu_Manual.pdf
  6. Hi Omega, what you mentioned in your first post, I just found out that the chess program can also be accessed through Stuart's TI Browser. Wow, now we have two ways to the chess program.
  7. solved! if you try to connect on a PC to HTTP://MYTI99.COMyou will get the following message: Please use www.myti99.com Instead I configured the URI Path in my Tipi system to: URI1=http://www.myti99.com now all Tipi applications are working again.
  8. I can imagine starting a program in a timely manner via my menu program, for example to indicate an appointment. The purpose of the menu program is for me an overview of time and date, the XB version used and the drives / directories mapped in the Tipisystem. Furthermore, I can easily start my saved programs and games. The program can be configured as desired, for example any submenus can be configured by itself. I plan to publish the program as a beta test at the weekend. It is not finished yet, currently It needs a FG99,RXB and the Tipi sytem and it is in German language. I plan to make it multi language, to support standard XB, compiling with XB256 and Support for classic99. I do Not know your ALC scheduler, so I‘m Not aware what it does. What is a KISS system?
  9. For my daily TI hobby I use the TIPI Clock in my XB menu program. From here I start all programs and games. That was the first thing I added in my TIPI system. The MAIN menu TIPI Tools Games in EA5 format So the Clock is one of the most used service from tipi after Storage and Internet
  10. Thank you for providing the new version. I will test it tomorrow. The response times are much better than in the basic version, time for a few more Stratego games.
  11. Hi twoodland, the tipi also accept variable 19, so the compiler / XB256 will also work. It seems that the compiler reads the entire clock-string into a variable. As in XB does the command LINPUT. Here is my try in XB and EA5 with the same output in XB and in EA5. The EA5 works in 4ADOS too. Press ENTER for just a second to exit the program CLOCK.ZIP
  12. Change line 180 to 180 open #1:"PI.CLOCK",DISPLAY, INPUT, FIXED 19 Then it should work
  13. No problem, thank you for maintaining the tipi system. I'm using my TI-99/4a every day and with the TIPI system there are so much posibilities!
  14. Hi Jedimatt42, today I updated my TIPIPEB to the current version 1.0beta034 In this version you changed the PI.CLOCK access, this I could see on GitHub. After the Update my XB Menu Programm shows me an I/O ERROR 02, the same I get if I try the "clock.bat" example form GitHub. I did some tries and changed the clock.bat. Now I can access the TIPI Clock again. See the attached basic example program NEWCLOCK NEWCLOCK.zip
  15. For my game know how, the computer AI is good enough so that I can win too. That motivates me to keep playing. If you improve the AI, then maybe over different levels. Similar to Video Chess (Beginner, Novice, Intermediate). (or easy and hard).
  16. These are my results with the three try
  17. it's done!!! I tried it three times and all works very well. Compiled, the game is very fine playable. Vorticon did an outstanding job. And of course the compiler is very practible and easy to use. Thank you to Vorticon for the game and thank you to senior_falcon for this compiler tool.
  18. Oh! right now I saw your post #580, sorry I was to late.
  19. so, of 5 games 4 are crashed. 1. in my last post. 2. I won the game! 3. move Major up to a free place left of the right lake. 4. move Colonel right to a free place behind the left lake. 5. move Major left to a free place. I think the emperor order is running and then when Wellington will start it crashes.
  20. in the first test I was able to determine the crash. In the middle of the game after the General's move on a free space to the right of the sidelines. after "RUN" I could continue playing, but without nice graphics.
  21. Hi Vorticon and senior_falcon, I have been following your chat for some time and I am very impressed, especially with the quick fixes. I have played the game Stratego several times and I am very curious about the speed of the compiled version. Today I compiled a small xb program with xb256 and it works very easy. Many thanks to senior_falcon for this tool. this is much easier for me than AL. @Vorticon: If you will, I can make someone tests with your compiled Stratego.
  22. Hi you did a Great work. I tested your Browser today with my Tipi system and it is Amazing to show internet pages and use programs over the Internet with our TI from 1981
