  1. Interesting program, does it work without special hardware, only with the Centronics interface?
  2. Yes you can display a BASIC or XB program with TI99DIR. I'm using it to copy/paste parts of XB programs or some other texts. If the XB program is a IV254 you have to use view from the file menu, normal XB programs are displayed with double click. Printing is also possible and it is fast.
  3. Hi @jedimatt42, yesterday I made the new tipi SD card with the version 2.5. Since then my Mega Menu program does not work in some cases. My investigation today showed that an "I/O Error 37" occurs when writing an empty line L3$="" with PRINT #1:L3$ to a file in the TIPI path. I made two test programs, the first "TEST1" reads the file "TEST-CFG" and writes it to a new file "TEST-NEW". All lines are filled in the file TEST-CFG, and this program is running in tipi v2.5, so it is OK! Test25.zip The second test program "TEST2" reads the file "TERR-CFG" and will writing to the file "TERR-NEW". In the file TERR-CFG, the third line is emty. This program breaks and shows the I/O Error 37. With the Edit40 editor I can save the file with an empty line in the tipi path, but it doesn't work in RXB or standard XB or XB2.6! When I save the file to my RAMDISK "DSKA." the test program is working fine too! Am I doing something wrong? I tested the second file in the tipi version 1.63 and it is running fine in the older version.
  4. Thank you @Tursi for the new version of classic99. It's working fine.
  5. I‘m using the tipi storage space, because here I can store everything. In my case I have access to programs like Turbo Pascal, Funnelweb or all the Games from the gameshelf. I use the FG99 too, for loading RXB and Force Command, somtimes also for DM2K.
  6. Hi Vorticon, I'm very interested in your Mega Menu configuration. If you will, please share a picture of your main menu screen.
  7. Hello Tursi, Today I found that my time/date routine no longer works in the new version of classic99. But maybe I'm just doing something wrong? Up to version QI399.026 everything is OK, from QI399.027 I get an I / O ERROR 13 when I open the "CLOCK" device. The two pictures above show my clock routine, the two pictures below show a small test program. Normal access to the "CLOCK" device works! In my program I first test whether the device "PI.TIPI" is available. The device does not exist in classic99, so my program jumps via ON ERROR to the line with the> OPEN # 1: "CLOCK" <command. Here is a simple test routine and here is my program that unfortunately doesn't work anymore: TCLOCK6.dsk
  8. @BeeryMiller Hi Beery, in the disk image below I have the complete source files of the BBS system with my German translations as a conditional compiling. It based on your version from June, 27. AHG0711H.dsk The new translated texts to German are in the following files: - BBSSETUP - MESGEDITOR - MAINMENU - BBSMESGBAS -- this file I had to split in two files, so I had to add the second part also in the BBS-TBOX file! - BBSMESGBA2 -- The second part of the BBSMESGBAS - BBSTEXTSRC -- minor change to write J/N instead of Y/N. - BBS-TBOX -- adding "COPY BBSMESGBA2" - BBS-KEEP -- adding "COPY BBSMESGBA2" - BBSSRC9640 -- adding "COPY BBSMESGBA2" This version has been running on my system for a week now. So next I will add some actual files to the download library and maybe I will make one more try to fix the time and date issue.
  9. Hi @Vorticon, thank you for testing Mega Menu and nice you have your tipi up and running. Did you use the alarming timer with the remind me calendar program? I used some time ago the auto-DSK1 feature, and it was working for me. Currently it is set to off in my system, so I have to setup the DSK mapping in the Mega Menu configuration path for DSK1. This is also working for me. If you use the Mega Menu add on from post #19 you have access to most of the Game Shelf programs and games from the Menu system.
  10. @BeeryMiller I finished the work on the Excel sheet today. BBS.zip "TableNames": - The CAT02 has the same text file names as CAT11, I used CAT11! - CAT09 is missing in TableNames! - I have renamed the 2nd submenu from "Disk Utilities" to "Tools" in CAT44 and CAT45! 11. Most of the excel work is done, I think during this week I will finish it.
  12. @BeeryMillerHi, it was nice to have a sysop Chat in the BBS with you. The sysop break in Routine is in the file BBSSUBS, but the Problem Maybe should solve on another place. In BBSSUBS on line 392 there is a remark about giving the user credit for time spent with sysop.
  13. Yes, you mentioned it in the FileCreator text file.
  14. No Problem, I saw this and some others. I will make the corrections.
  15. Your Excel tool is working with file names of up to 12 character, but the TI will accept only 10 characters for a file Name. So I have to cut some file names to the proper length. Maybe I will use onle xxx-A so all info before is save.
  16. Hi Beery, I will clean up the complete file library, but I need a few day's to do this, I think. I will also add some more files (<10) to the library with actual versions of programs. For this I will provide an extra list. The DV80 file creation works very well, you had a very good idea to use Excel for this. Thank you.
  17. @apersson850 Is UCSD Pascal able to use a hard disk in the P-system. I think about the new batch of IDE cards, there will come these days. Or is the P-system able to use the Horizon 4000b RAM disk? The normal system is using only the three floppy disks, I have in my TI.
  18. @Shift838 My pre-order has now been placed. Thank you for your explanations.
  19. Hi, My beige TI console is broken, No Power and the 0.200A fuse in the transformer is also broken. I replaced the transformer but immediately the second transformers fuse is broken. I think the power supply board is defective. So my question is, can I replace the power supply board of the beige console with a power supply board from a silver/black console? Here are the pictures of the both power supplies: The PS of the beige console: The PS of the black/silver console:
  20. Hi, I always change the filenames on my tipi system to have names without a „/“ or a „.“. Mostly I changed these characters with a „-„ too. There are some characters, tidir can‘t understand and will not show the folder with souch file names. These characters I change too mostly to „-„, or „_“.
  21. Hi, My thoughts on the data file library for the BBS file download. BBS_Download_File_Library_Tree.zip In the excel file I have 6 selections in the main data File Base. Then there are a first sub library with currently 5 items and a second sub library with maximum 8 selections. You can add or delete points as desired so that all file contents are addressed if possible.
  22. Hi Beery, the new version has solved the problems I had yesterday. For your next version I have two suggestions: 1. When you are in the message menu, you can go back to the main menu with [CR] or [E]. When you are in the Data library menu, you can go back to the main menu with [CR] or [Z]. I think better is we can go back to the main menu with the same key-pressing. Maybe with "[CR] or [X] to Exit to the main menu". 2. When you select a sub data library from the data library menu the sub library is displayed on the screen. This is OK. But if the last page is displayed the system clears the screen and shows immediately the data library menu again. No chance to read the last page. After the last page is displayed, the system should ask for "any key..." and then return to the data library menu.
  23. Yes I copied the additional Base and Point-files.
  24. If a user is leaving a message for the sysop from the message base menu the BBS system crashes. First I tested in your BBS 9640NEWS:9918 I tested also the private and sysop message base. I cannot select “Z” for a private message. The system tells me this is not on the menu. I can select “S” for sysop messages. There I can read all messages like a normal message base. But the messages 1 to 4 has garbage text for mesg #, From, To, Subject e.t.c. The messages itself is correct and I can read it. I leaved a new message and the new message has the correct mesg # To, From Subject etc. Then I selected the Sysop message from the main menu. I leaved a message there, but this is maybe another type of message base, because this message is not readable from the sysop message select in the message base menu. SYSOP messages is different on the TBOX BBS! I loged in as a user: Here I cannot read the sysop message from the Message Base Select “S” Sysop message. If I select the “S” and “R”ead the a fatal *DSR* error occur. If I select “L”eaved a message, I can write the message but after I press “S” for save, the Fatal *dsr* error occur and the program is running to the desert. In this case I had to restart the BBS program! If I login with my user wolhess #2, and select the sysop message from the main menu, then I can write a message to the sysop and I can save it without an error. I think we need a separate sysop menu with the sysop message base selection and a user message base menu without the sysop message selection. Then I logged in as SYSOP When I log in with my Sysop #1 account then I can read and write messages in the message base with the sysop selection. I can also write message to the sysop as sysop.
  25. Hi Beery, wow, you did an amazing work with the expanded download library. It is very useful to split the download categories. Today I tested some functions and started to correct my text files to display the library files for the download in the correct category. During testing I also select the help file and tested the ^C function to abort the text display. I displayed the first two screens and then I pressed ^C. On the first ^C the program shoes a second “Press any key - °C to abort” message. If I then press any key (not the ^C) the system shows the main menu. On the second ^C a fatal *DSR* error occur. See the screenshot: If I press the ^C after the first screen display of the help file it works fine.
