  1. I guess I'm doing all I can then. Google does pick up a lot from it.
  2. I'm talking about the archive here: https://pairlist5.pair.net/pipermail/coco/ There is great material here and I am a subscriber for new content. But, is there anyway to search the back digests? Right now they are only searchable by month. Thanks for any help.
  3. Time Bandit is an incredible game. I never knew about it when I originally had a CoCo. I'm a fan of the arcade game Tutankham and Time Bandit is similar.
  4. Thanks for the post, I will check it out.
  5. Yes, Official Ninja is correct. I meant Gantelet 1. You use the POKE on that one in that it is for the CoCo2. The POKE works on other games as well to speed them up. Both Gantelet games are fantastic.
  6. Here you go: http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.hardware.tandy.coco/7778 It is called the hi-speed POKE for the CoCo3. Many CoCo games are sloooow, so it really helps.
  7. If you like Gauntlet, Gantelet 1 and 2 are excellent. With a CoCo 3 and the voice, Gantelet 2 showcases arcade action on the CoCo. My only issue is that to play best you need to set the game on fast, but then this stops the voice pak from working correctly. I need to mod the voice pak and I will be set.
  8. I assume this game was never finished? I tried the last attachment and the game is fun. My kids loved it and Colecovision games tend to be too tough, so this was a good find in the Colecovision library. But, the sound is terrible, I just had to turn the sound off. It seems from reading the thread that the sound was fixed, but I guess not? Is this the final version?
  9. I see what you mean. I think the Y means yes it needs a CoCo3 and the N means CoCo3 not required (but it will work on one). There are not near that many that don't work on the CoCo3.
  10. I would get the CoCo3, there are some really impressive looking games only playable on the CoCo3. It is backward compatible with almost all of the CoCo1/2 games. However, there are some games only playable on the CoCo1/2, so a true CoCo fanatic would have both systems .
  11. I believe Sinistar yes, but not Warrior King. I don't see WK in any compatible list. I had trouble with Sinistar, but I need to research what to do with multi-disk games, it should work.
  12. Good question Official Ninja, I need to check those. When I do, I'll post.
  13. Here you go. You need to go to the CoCoList. A member there named Gustavo Ranuar Schoenaker converted/renamed the games from the www.colorcomputerarchive.com/coco/Disks/Games/ to CoCoSDC compatible on 2/22/2015. It is a must-have for the CoCoSDC, works great.
  14. You do need Briza's collection to have everything. I have it stored on flashdrive, it is huge. However, there is also all games from the Color Computer Archive optimized to "plug and play" on the CoCoSDC. Let me get you the link.
  15. Happy to see this, a homebrew cartridge for the CoCo.
  16. The list is here: http://www.vintage-computer.com/vcforum/showthread.php?45054-CocoSDC-adapter-kits Also, this thread has all the needed information (thanks to v-c.com)
  17. MarkO posted the names a few posts up. Go through the CoCo list. It should be Zippster for the device and then T.Linder for the cases. There have been at least two runs.
  18. If you want to get into CoCO gaming, I can't recommend the CoCo SDC more highly. The entire CoCo archive gamelist has been formatted to work on the CoCoSDC (just put it on a SD card). Buy the CoCoSDC and get a case and you have hundreds of games plug and play. It even works with DriveWire and has several advanced functions, but the best feature for me is for straightforward access to gaming roms.
  19. Poltergeist is definitely unique, a CoCo exclusive . It may not be a great game, but it was unique.
  20. I figured it out. The SVA2 stock/paddle combo are best for the SVA2 (unless you want to mod like in the posts above), but the driving controllers should be fine.
  21. I have a SVII (and I really like it). I didn't realize this. So, stock paddles won't work (or have issues) on the SVII? What about driving controllers?
  22. Great list, thanks - and how could I forget Doubleback, it works perfect with this game.
  23. Do Tano Dragon joysticks work on a CoCo? There are a few interesting looking controllers for the Dragon. If you look on various European Ebay sites, you'll see some, but the with the shipping costs it would be nice to know if they are fully compatible? I use a Tandy deluxe stick, if I don't use the Wico/Atari combo, and I like the deluxe joystick a lot.
