  1. The pistol grip for Tandy computers works really well, but I like the look of the deluxe Radio Shack one (make sure you get the two button one). Also, if you look on EbayUK, there are some funky sticks that work for the Dragon (and should be good for the CoCo).
  2. Sounds great, close enough to South Georgia!
  3. Just got home. Played one game to have a score: 11,300. This game is not fun at all with the controller. But, looking forward to Defender.
  4. I like cavity mode with Super Breakout. Progressive, as roadrunner said, is also good. Also, we should probably say no extra serves.
  5. 3750 I can't shoot diagonals at all. I may play again to better my score, but this one just seems like a weak version of Berserk.
  6. I think it should be the stock 5200 controller only, no exceptions. Minimal upgrades to it like the BEST ones are fine. This should be a stock contest, as if you brought home the 5200 in 1982. Otherwise, you open up too many exceptions. I have a Starcon. It is period correct, so I could use it, but that's not in the spirit of the contest (either is using a Masterplay).
  7. I don't know of any 5200 video mod that works with it. I have the older 8-bit domain one and it does not.
  8. Make sure you get the two button ones, they have both types. This one has another black button on the front.
  9. I am posting this picture of my CoCo3 with 512k using DriveWire to play Pac-Dude 3D. All thanks to Official Ninja for helping me with the ins and outs of DriveWire (and making the cable and cart for me). This is what makes AtariAge a community.
  10. 1 controller: 11,125 2 controllers: 28,850
  11. Just pledged, I like the initial issue print and then digital package. I hope the publicity here on AtariAge gets more pledges, it got me .
  12. I just got the cart and cable from Ninja. I should be able to test it all out in a few days. I really want to thank Ninja for his generosity!! The willingness to share knowledge, skill, and time makes AtariAge such a great place (and Ninja is a perfect example of this spirit).
  13. The SD DrivePal seems like it was really nice, but it is no longer for sale and I don't think it is serviced anymore. I just thought about it and I realize that probably the reason I've always liked the 5200 and didn't mind the joysticks is because I grew up playing the CoCo with the non-centering analog joysticks. I also like the Kraft sticks for the 2600 and these are similar to the Tandy ones as well.
  14. I miss playing a lot of those games you mentioned AtariLeaf + the tape text adventures like Bedlam, they were fun. Ninja is going to help me get back into it.
  15. I had a TRS-80 CoCo throughout my youth. Nope, no Atari or Coleco or Intellivision for me. My younger brother later got a NES and 2600 Jr, but I was stuck drilling for oil with Wildcatting . I tried to collect for the CoCo, but there are just too many duds in the cartridge gaming line-up and many of the better games are tape or disk. However, there are some games I really miss: Polaris, Mega-Bug, Dino-Wars, and a few more. I'd also love to try the disc games I have only read about (like the King). Is there a multicart for games for the CoCo? I have searched and I don't see anything. There are several items you can buy to play roms and utilities, but they all seem so complicated. I wish there was a simple multicart or flashcart like the AtariMax ones. Does anyone have a suggestion? Are any of the available items from Cloud9 or other sources user-friendly enough that you set them up for game playing?
