  1. Haha, so THAT's how they did it: flicker. Oh well. -paul
  2. I installed it in my heavy sixer last night. The picture is so good it almost looks like an emulator. My only complaint is the length of the S-Video cable. I think the best solution would be to include a cable with a female connector instead of male. Then you can just plug in a cable of whatever length you need. Sure you can get an extension cord, but people are a lot more likely to have an extra male-to-male around. -paul
  3. This topic is still not locked?!
  4. Yeah too bad. Just like Gameliner! Well at least we'll get a copy of Issue #1. -paul
  5. Eckhard did a nice text scroller: http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/archiv...7/msg00006.html I quit using the flickering text since we now have a routine that displays 13 characters without flicker. And with the last two characters are separated it's able to display up to 15 characters! -paul
  6. That's a prototype reproduction. You can buy it in the Atariage store: http://www.atariage.com/store/product_info...products_id=148 -paul
  7. That's Glenn's remake of The Dig. While it's a nice search tool, the posts are not hand selected. So it's hard to find cool tricks, demos, and all disassemblies without knowing what to search for. Also some of the source posted on [stella] has bugs or exists in multiple versions. I've hand selected the best versions and fixed any bugs I know about. -paul
  8. I've put together a new page that's sort of a condensed and updated version of The Dig, which disappeared. It was an Atari 2600 programming site that took some of the most interesting posts to the [stella] list and sorted them into categories. http://www.qotile.net/minidig/ -paul
  9. Yeah, we definitely have to have a dead projects page! I think it should be called the Knight Rider Hall of Shame. What's up with Kickman? Hasn't that been on there for like ten years? -paul
  10. Haha, definitely. I'm having a hard enough time trying to get it done anyway with my band and other stuff going on. -paul
  11. Rasty started on one a while back. He's busy with other stuff right now, but he told me he'd try to get it cleaned up and ready for release sometime soon. HSR will use a 64k bankswitching that's very similar to the Atari 8k, 16k, and 32k methods. Joe's already made a prototype that works great. -paul
  12. Not sure how in depth you want to get, but check out my sequencer kit: http://qotile.net/sequencer.html and my sound and music programming guide: http://qotile.net/files/2600_music_guide.txt
  13. Crap, I just realized I missed that it had to be on difficulty A. So my score's no good. And now it's too late. -paul
  14. Yea! Finally had some time to play again, and I got my best score ever: 7655
  15. Well, make a post like that and you will have offers. If it were a scam, a deal would have been made in private. I just don't want another newbie to get taken in by a scam or a fake. And I do believe sku_u, I was just skeptical when I saw the original post. -paul
  16. oops. The edit button is gone. -paul
  17. I think it's perfectly reasonable to be skeptical. Eli's Ladder and those other carts shown are extremely rare. Last time a new person showed up claiming to have found an Eli's Ladder, I stuck up for them, then it turned out to not be real! I definitely agree that we could be a little nicer about it, but considering the number of fakes and scam artists that we've seen, it's good to voice concern. In many cases it's saved people from getting ripped off. -paul

  19. The tires appeared to be done with the playfield. The only part that I couldn't figure out was the score. -paul
  20. The Synthcart probably hasn't been out long enough to have a total sales number as high as Oystron or SCSIcide, but since it has been released, it has always been the best seller at both Atariage and Hozer. I'm sure it's because it appeals to both collectors and musicians. I've heard of a lot of people buying Ataris to use the Synthcart. -paul
  21. The titles he has up there are odd. He's obviously not copying them from the AA database since none of his titles are the same. And I don't think you can fit Imagic or Dataage boards into an Atari case. So if he's faking them, I guess he's burning them onto new board and putting them into Atari cases? I'd be interested to see the board in some of those cases... -paul
