  1. Thanks guys! It looks like it might be the first of January before I finish it. I thought I'd be done with school in a week, but now I'm going to be slammed right up until Christmas. But after that I have until next Fall for nothing but Atari!

Although there were so many awesome labels in the Gunfight contest, I've had labels in mind for my carts for a while. But I will consider it.

I'm not sure of the price yet, but it won't be more that $30 shipped. Depends on how I decide to produce them.

  2. I really think you could get the solution much faster by dumping the ROM and dissasembling it than trying all those combinations. I don't think it's unreasonable to think that someone would do that to win the contest.

  3. You can't get joystick input. Only keypad. I have a book of Basic programs I wrote when I was a kid. There's not much useful you can do. It's tough with so little RAM.

I think it's limited to 12 lines because that was just the way it was programmed. Often, you run out of symbols before you reach 10 lines, so I guess they didn't think there was much point to supporting more lines. It probably could be expanded using supercharger RAM, but you'd have to add the ability to scroll for more lines of code, etc. It would be a lot of work.

  4. I managed 5.97 on Dragster. I try and try but can't beat that time. I hit the button when the counter says 1, basically pop the clutch twice at the start (since first gear goes so fast), hit third, hit forth, and tap the clutch a couple of times in fourth.

What are the next few games that are going to be on the quest? I'd to get a few screenshots now because I'm borrowing a digital camera but have to give it back soon.
