Pretty sure I've seen a wedge shaped foam pillow that would be easy to turn into a 2600jr.

The SpeakJet chip is copyrighted. Someone would have to pretty painstakingly reverse-engineer it to emulate it.

XP is a great version of Windows to run in VirtualBox. It's small and fast and has a relatively low memory footprint.

I got PONG as a present before Atari too!

Just wasn't known as "edutainment" then. Didn't hear that phrase until the 90's probably. Got a Radio Shack pong unit called TV Scoreboard (came with a light gun even) the Christmas before I "finally" got an Atari 2600.

technically first video games played at home were on a Sol Terminal 20. I'm a rare breed too.

You have to be happy/comfortable with your own company alone before you can share with someone else, if that makes sense. My 2 cents.
