What do you like about the Atari Jaguar?
ginoscope replied to Skippy B. Coyote's topic in Atari Jaguar
I have had a Jaguar for a few months now and I have been trying to figure out what it is about the system that I like. One thing that comes to mind is at the time it was new I was all into the Japanese systems so this feels very different. Prior to getting a NES I spent a considerable amount of time playing games on the Commodore 64. I guess in that way the Jaguar reminds me of PC of that era that I never got to experience. I been really happy with my purchase and I also like the community it seems like a very small close group. Standout games for me are doom and Cybermorph. I went into Cybermorph with such low expectations I was honestly surprised that is was not bad at all. -
Dan McNamee Interview - Atari Jaguar QA / AVP

Very cool read thanks for sharing. As a developer myself I can totally relate to having a love hate relationship with QA. I learned early on to not take what they say personal. -
Yeah make sure that you have a game in there before you give up. Also if you have not done much soldering I don't think you should attempt the mod. I'm about to try the mod myself once I get all the parts I need.

That's pretty amazing if it's all on the cart. I would definitely be interested in purchasing this as I really enjoyed the game on the sega cd.

This is very tempting but I will let others get a shot at this first. I am currently using a scart cable with my Jaguar. If there is another round I will get one.

The Lynx 2 has stereo headphones and better battery life. It's also easier for loading games.

I just recently bought a Lynx after some research and I think the going rate is $75-$100 for the Lynx II. Slightly cheaper for the Lynx 1 but not by much. I plan on doing the McWill soon but have not ordered the screen yet. From all I read these are not plagued by capacitor issues like the game gear is.

Please add me to the list for a Lynx II and thank you for making this product.
