Thank you guys. It's amazing to think that once I was searching for a way to get this working that were people writing ports of it. As stated above it is not the same if it is not the actual game but I will still check them out. I only want to run them on the original Atari 400 machine not an emulator. With that in mind, and pardon my ignorance, but how can I get these files to run? I don't currently have any kind of SD card storage device for the Atari 400 and I'm not sure where to start. This is really the only game I'd like to try that way. Is there a way to get a cartridge SD card device or such like?

It is? I'm a perfectionist and I can't tell. Maybe it was the shooting angle. Or maybe I tidied it up later or it got hidden by the rubber grommet. Either way Monk would like it now.Very nice, though the first notch is so far off-center I could hear Monk screaming from his TV grave.

I don't I'm afraid. There's a fast forward scrub bar under YouTube to just skip to the build.Do you have a web site which describes your project? I tried to watch it but I could not get beyond your introduction, monologue, and commentary, even at double-speed. (Nothing against your style of video; I cannot watch television shows like that, either.)

It was green screen back in the day because some people couldn't afford color monitors.
Some people = my parents.
At least, that's what my dad came home with. He only wanted the Apple for spreadsheets, and I love it all the same.

I think I figured out why there is no capacitor kit. Looking at the photographs there is only one capacitor on the main board!
There are a few on the power board but I think only four. I have therefore ordered a $10 kit from Amazon that seems to cover all the bases!

As above really. Or a list at least?...
Is it the same as the 800?

I read with interest about after market keyboards like this: https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atari_400#/media/Datei%3AAtari_400_Keyboard_Upgrade.jpg
So that's what I'm looking for!

Can you please help me understand how different settings work for different screen modes. For example I have the following devices connected:
SCART: Amiga
S-Video: Atari 400
What I want to do is change settings such as resolution, scan lines, sharpness, vertical position, whilst I am looking at the S-Video input, and have them ONLY saved for the S video input. So when I then change to the SCART Amiga input I see the settings specific to that input only, not the settings that I just changed for the S video input.
So is there a way to save settings unique to each cable input? And if so how?

XRGB Mini green screen emulation?
I just got the XRGB Mini hooked up with all my retro computers. The quality is truly amazing as is the scanline emulation. See attached. There's a little lag but you start not to notice. It's less than half a second.
Is it possible to set a color Composite source to display only green (or Amber) to emulate a green CRT monitor? E.g. for Apple II or Amstrad?

Hi guys, here it is! The video where I attempt to build a cheap, easy, no solder, SEXY, Commodore 64 replacement power supply. I've been excited to share this with my friends here at AtariAge. Please feel free to like, subscribe, and share. Let me know what you think in the YouTube comments. I hope you enjoy it!

If it works like that I'd just leave it like that. No harm.Anyone able to assist? I'm kinda under a deadline to get this done for a customer. Has everyone else that has installed the Rev D. left their 4050 chips in place then I take it? Because again, that is the ONLY way I can get the board to work with the jumpers that have been specified.

What is your source for the case mount 5 pin din socket with circular surround as pictured? Can't find them anywhere.I used the standard 5pin din on my UAV 400, although I wish I had put it on the bottom case instead of the top part.

Thanks. So this cable would give me the composite and audio? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F311883289519 (I'll also be using Bryan's audio mod.)5 pin you're seeing in his photo is the standard Atari 8 monitor jack, it carries ground, luma, chroma, composite, audio and shield, luma, chroma is s-video.
You can buy cables just about anywhere but most peeps have been going to 8 bit classics etc for the cord. I just solder up my own...
Who are good suppliers for the correct female DIN to put in the case, along with the outer ring as shown above?
Thanks!, Starglider

Very interesting. It looks good! So what standard cable do you connect to get S-Video or composite? I'm not familiar with 5 pin other than MIDI.I used the standard 5pin din on my UAV 400, although I wish I had put it on the bottom case instead of the top part.

Nice. I was thinking of tying a knot inside, myself, or use whatever method the original RF cable used. Maybe even use the original RF cable? I only want composite.I've been known to install a standard jack inside the case and then run a standard cord through a pre existing hole or slot if it will fit and re assemble... keeps it pretty harms nothing and prevents the need to remember later what wire goes where and all those headaches should a cord need changing.

Interesting. I have the 400 and my UAV has shipped. I was just going to run the cable out like the original RF cable. But where would you mount the socket you bought? I assume it would involve cutting into the original case. Most of us do. But the UAV video output can be run out however you want. In a system without a video jack (such as a 400, 2600, 5200 or 7800), you can wire up whatever output you want to the terminal block or the pads of the bare board.

Hmm, just curious, why would you need this for the UAV? Don't you just take the video cable out from the PCB?So, I bought a couple of these PS2 av sockets off ebay thinking I could use one with the UAV:
However, now that I've got them and have had a closer look I've realized that to set it up the way I want I'd need a small custom pcb to mount it on, but making one is a bit beyond my skill level. Has anyone else here tried working with one of these before?

Thanks! Sounds very straightforward. Now I just wait patiently for a reply to my PM...Okay, if you're just wanting a straight-up composite cable, then all you need to connect to on the UAV are the Composite and ground wires. You don't need the Chroma or Luma signals at all for that.
If you want to do a separate Chroma/Luma cable like for a vintage computer monitor, you'll need to wire up those signals as well. For S-video, you wire up those Chroma/Luma signals into the S-video jack.
