1982 cart prices and inflation: around $77 today
Recycled replied to CDS Games's topic in Atari 2600
Wish I would of been paying attention during the "crash." I had lost interest in gaming sometime in '83. Didn't get interested in it again until the early 90s when a friend of mine showed me his new Genesis. -

Yea, I was going to say.....look at how much you get today compared to then. I feel much better with my Super Mario Odyssey purchase, than say, compared to my early 80's Pac-Man. (I know...not a fair comparison, but still....) -
How do you plan for the long long long term?
Recycled replied to Keatah's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Yep. To tell you the truth, I'm just going with the flow. I'm 49.....I'm HOPING to be lucky enough to be around for 30 or 40 more years. I'm sure if I want to play video games in the future, there will be something I can use that will work. I'm not a collector, so archiving isn't really an issue for me. That's my plan for the long term. -
Homebrew War! Name your top 2 must own Homebrew games
Recycled replied to redsteakraw's topic in Atari 2600
I haven't bought a homebrew in quite sometime, but I really enjoyed Champ's Ladybug and Conquest of Mars. I played both to death when they were released. Actually, I liked Hunchy 2 as well. Now that I think about it, my top two are probably Ladybug and Oystron. -
I remember when my uncle bought the 2600 version right when it came out. I was taken with the arcade feel of the game and the really nice alien graphics. The game still looks great to me today.

No boss stage in the VCS version. Never played the INTV version. Always thought that boss looked great.

Two. Both not working. a light sixer vcs and and a vader. Just using Flashbacks at this point, especially the portable.
-
That Namco comp that is currently available for the Switch is kind of thin in my opinion for the price. I already own most of those games of course. If I didn't, I'd probably still buy it.

Yes! Arcade port of Vanguard!

What do you do with broken stuff?
Recycled replied to Rick Dangerous's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I've got a couple broken 2600s and Colecovisions each that I will give to someone who can fix them, or use them for parts. Have to make it easy for me to get to them though. -
Atari Flashback Portable!
Recycled replied to Byron's Reviews's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
For what it's worth....I've had no problems with mine at all. Hopefully, the defective ones are low in number. -
I'm going to add an arcade port of Mr. Do! to the Arcade Archives wish list.
-
Moon Patrol would be nice. Haven't played the arcade version since back in the early 80's as well. Switch is the first modern console I've purchased since the ps2, Pretty excited about future releases.
-
I just downloaded Mario Bros. and Crazy Climber yesterday. Haven't played CC since the arcades in the early 80s. I'm enjoying both of them immensely. Hope there's more to come.

Which Arcade Game Did You Put The Most Money Into?
Recycled replied to BillyHW's topic in Arcade and Pinball
Pac-Man, Tron and Vanguard. -
Respectfully, you seem like a nice guy, but are you a shill? Seriously?

I mean, I reserve the right to be wrong, but it just had hallmarks of a scam to me. Best to stay away.

Nes Classic Edition Back In Stock in 2018
Recycled replied to 0078265317's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Anybody else try this? You could have chosen either an NES or SNES to buy at retail. Just wondering. My gf tried it and didn't get a response. -
That was supposed to be a secret: Console "Wood Fired Tacos."

Big fat scam that no one fell for.
