Three, never had any problems with any of them. *knocks on wood*

The one by the Rue le Dodge bumper cars or the Eagle? The one by the Eagle isn't even there anymore...it's a kids area.

First time I played Tron was for free at an Aladdin's Castle. I was just a kid, but it was set up outside in front of the arcade and there were some sort of people (Williams employees?) that were taking surveys and getting feedback on the game. Not the greatest game of all time, but the gorgeous cabinet and spot-on soundtrack put it on top of by bucket list of machines to own.

I don't know...I'd put Battlesphere in my Jaggy top five as it's an excellent game, but let's face it...it's a space shooter. It's not pushing a lot of geometry on-screen. Something with big cityscapes and multiple enemies like Skyhammer would be a huge challenge.
-
Graphics are good, but the big improvement is in framerate. It's a pretty stable 30-ish fps, whereas I-War (to me, anyway) is damn near unplayable when things start blowing up onscreen. I lot of that is to be expected, as there's a lot of open space you're flying through, but I think it's aged pretty gracefully.

As someone that's been away for a quite a while, is this burnable to CD or do I need a Skunkboard?

Again, you´re looking at it the wrong way. If the Jaguar has 100 titles and 25 of those are good, it´s still better than a console that has 800 titles and of those 100 can be considered good. We´re not talking financially better here, mind you. Most consoles did better in the economics department than the JAG. 1026395[/snapback] That's a nice "good game ratio," but that isn't what I took exception to...the poster stated that the Jag had as many good games as any other console. Even assuming your interpretation that just doesn't hold true.
-
Well, I'm as big a Jag fan as any but that's just...well...wrong. There aren't even 100 games for the system. The PSX, Xbox, even the N64 will overwhelmingly crush that number with just good, A-list titles.

The biggest problem with Atari Karts is it's lacking any kind of offensive weapons, which are kind of key in a kart racer. The control mess-up thingy just doesn't cut it. Other than that it's okay...just don't expect Mario Kart greatness.

The only thing I truly hate about the Jag contollers are the ungodly creaking they make while my sweaty paws are gripping them. Makes 'em seem cheap.
-
Well, with that kind of feedback I'd assume you could read the bid history on an item. Hmm...a $1.00 starting bid. Fancy that.
-
Apparently you're unfamiliar with eBay. Let me explain. Tbird starts a no reserve auction, and the BS:G goes for whatever people are willing to bid it up to. Either you can't afford it, or don't think it's worth it, or both. That's fine. But to say he's selling them for $500 isn't quite accurate. In fact, the original Battlesphere release was less than $70.

Gotta be NBA Jam, though the rubber band AI can be infuriating. Barkley would be more fun if it wasn't impossible to avoid getting blown out, and Brett Hull isn't bad, but I"m not much of a hockey guy.

Got 38/48 today, so far it looks great! Now I just have to put up with the wife beating my ass at it.
-
I'd pay 80 bucks. As you mentioned, it's about what I paid for Skyhammer. At $100 I'd be iffy. Ah, who am I fooling...I'd probably pay the hundo for it, too.
-
I'd say have to say Phear as well, though I'm afraid Tetrisphere would've spoiled it for me.
-
Three JagCDs total. I keep one out to play and the other two are boxed up with my other two Jags.
-
BS:G here...paid big $$$ for a sealed one from Tbird on eBay. Is it worth $500? Of course not...no game is. Is it a good game? Yep...certainly one of the Jag's best. Since $500 was about the going rate, that's what I paid...and I for one felt better giving that money to someone who actually put the effort into the game than to someone else. I also picked up a Catbox (and a couple of Jaglink IIs) just in the vain hope of finding someone else to play with.
-
Goofy box here.
-
I would've probably looked seriously at it if i hadn't just blown my wad on Tbird's BSG auction. Plus, we're leaving for vacation in Florida tomorrow. Timing's bad.
-
It really isn't that much. The last few BattleSpheres have all been over $400, the Scatbox probably brings $150, figure the Jag/CD gets $100 or so, the rotary controller $55, blah blah. The painted deal is probably hurting the sale, but it really isn't that high for the combo, epecially if you aren't getting raped by the weak U.S. dollar.
-
Didn't matter to me... His pocket or charity...I didn't mind giving him the money for his work. Better that than a reseller looking to turn a buck.
-
The red and green ones sell for $2000 there. I'd guess these bidders know what they're doing.
-
I think eBay is/was running a 1 cent per photo deal for a couple of days.
-
Yeah...I had bids on both early. By the time I went back to snipe them, they'd already hit the roof. That's just nuts. Hopefully those were UK bidders because if those sales went in US dollars then I feel completely inadequate.
