  1. Some people evidently don't realize that a legible listing would probably attract more attention. Who wants to read through that?
  2. I bid on Mendon's game, and came very close to using the BIN. Is 400 bucks too much? Of course. But I want it, and those that have it can determine what they go for. It could be the greatest game of all time, but if the production run was bigger, it wouldn't cost any more than any other game. And this is why I'm confused. The code is there, the hardware is there, the demand is there, and there aren't any new runs forthcoming...despite the fact that B&C and Songbird have demonstrated it can be done. I agree wholeheartedly with Mendon and certainly can't fault him for getting what he could for his copy. Hell, as quickly as it sold, he obviously could have gotten even more. That doesn't make him a hypocrite. I think property values in my area are too high, too. That doesn't mean I'm going to give my house away when it's time to sell.
  3. I just wish I'd coughed up the four hundo instead of bidding.
  4. Whoops...try this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8176461041
  5. I had a bid on this before someone jumped on the $400 BIN. I came close to doing the same, but isn't that a little far out there? BS auction

Whoa...you can't do that to folks. I thought your were selling Battlesphere.
  7. "Welcome to your doom!" I never had an Intellivision until a couple of years ago, so my first talkies were Blades of Steel and The Adventures of Bayou Billy on the NES, I believe.
  8. Can't fault a guy for trying, right? I'd just planned on trading one of my kids, but to each their own.
  9. Yes, but why have Scatalogic/4Play never done another reisssue? The parts and the demand seem to be there.
  10. Didn't want to start a whole new thread for this, and this looked like as good a place as any to ask... Why has Scatalogic never done another run of these? It's obvious there's still a market for another production run. Is it lack of carts? B&C and Songbird manage to still produce runs of cartridges so I can't for the life of me figure out why no one sees an opportunity here. I was on the waiting list for the original but never got one, then shelved the Jag and forgot about it during the BSG reissue. I've resigned myself to paying through the nose but it's now rare to even see one pop up in eBay. Anyone know what the deal is?
  11. Is there a way to add the B&C versions of Jaguar stuff like Air Cars, Brett Hull, or Songbird's Phase Zero and the like?
  12. Not exactly a handheld, lol. We had one of those when I was a kid...the chicken would cluck, bob around and peck his response. Wonder if it's still in my parents' attic...
  13. Just ordered, along with Protector. It doesn't show up in the regular store...hopefully one's left.
  14. $510?! Wow. I was thinking that would've made a nice collection since I don't have a Lynx, but jeezus...
  15. That one's gotten kind of crazy...
  16. Where are these repros available?
  17. Yes, and yes. I remember my parents taking me to get our VCS in '77. My dad and I used to play a lot...it was "quality time" and it was the first thing that I was clearly better at than my old man was. Part of it is indeed that it brings back those fond memories. The gameplay of the good games still holds up today, though. Sure, they aren't pretty, but a good 2600 game is as much fun to play today as it was 25 years ago. Maybe it's just a sign that I'm getting old, I suppose...but I can have as much fun playing Warlords or Asteroids with the wife as I do with Halo 2 or Gran Turismo.
  18. Starfox, Sin and Punishment, Bangaio, and Yuke Yuke Troublemakers, just off the top pf my head. I'm sure Treasure put out a couple others I can't recall...
  19. I've had my VCS for 27 years but am fairly new to collecting. Was this auction something I should've looked at harder, or is it just the NTSC version that's scarce? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ssPageName=WDVW
  20. Blasphemy! Every system has its share of interesting games and sinkers, so I ahve a rather short list: Playstation...always thought the graphics and gameplay stunk on most of these. I ended up with a ton of games though, because they were so easily...er..."acquired." Genesis...thought the controllers felt cheap and the graphics never seemed to hold up to the SNES. Still, stuff like Herzog Zwei was pretty cool. Turbografx/Wonderswan/3DO...not rare enough to collect, no real killer apps. These kind of represent odd-man-out entries among their contemporaries. The Dreamcast and N64 are probably the heaviest used consoles in our house. Although many N64 games were indeed craptastic, it had even more that in terms of playability or just dumb multiplayer fun were head and shoulders above anything else. The Dreamcast is fun because Sega had so many "thinking out of the box" type games for it. The VMU was an underused but novel idea, and the graphics hold up to today's systems.
  21. I thought a lot of PSX games in particular were rubbish even at the time. I thought Tomb Raider was a nightmare. Wipeout XL is about all I still play. I think a lot of N64 and especially Dreamcast games have held up very well. Ninitendo's first party stuff is classic and much of the DC's library is still graphically attractive, especially through the VGA adapter. In addition, the Sega was the one to think out of the box with the DC...Samba de Amigo maracas, fishing controllers, Typing of the Dead, Seaman, et cetera.
  22. In order of time wasted in college: Tecmo Bowl Blades of Steel Mario 3 Battle Toads NES Open )Golf) The Adventures of Bayou Billy Okay...the last one wasn't that great but we still played the hell out of it.
