  1. I was getting boxes out of the attic to organize my Jag and VCS stuff and came across a box of XL software and stuff. A friend had given me his old computer and two boxes worth of accessories, and tragically, I think everything but this got purged by the wife in a fit of cleaning. Would any of this be worth anything to an Atari enthusiast? I'm plagued with enough guilt for the computer presumably disappearing into the landfill...I'd like the remaining stuff to go to a good home if possible. Detail 1 Detail 2 Detail 3 I didn't want to put it in the marketplace forum because I really don't know what's what or even if it's worth anything.
  2. Sorry for the n00b question, but is there a benefit to buying here instead of directly from Songbird? If AtariAge gets a percentage from buying here, I'll sneak some money out from under the wife. Otherwise, I'll probably just wait for more fundage and get it from Songbird.
  3. Hooked up: Jaguar w/CD Gamecube Xbox PS2 N64 Dreamcast Only occasionally hooked up: Atari VCS (original "Heavy Sixer") NES SNES Intellivision Atari and Coleco Pong machines Handhelds: Game Boy Color Game Boy Advance Virtual Boy[/img]
  4. Still have every system I've owned...including the original heavy sixer my parents bought.
  5. Semantics aside, I have to agree with Zylon. Dragon's Lair was actually fun to play through...I don't think Space Ace has spent more than ten minutes in my Jag. "Fun" may be subjective, but whether or not Space Ace is fun, it is indeed "literally" unplayable from any kind of practical standpoint. At any rate, the playability (or lack thereof) of games like Checkered Flag and Space Ace probably did as much or more than the worst efforts of any Tramiel to doom the Jaguar. Sometimes I wonder what the quality assurance department at Atari looked like.
  6. What do these typically sell for? I had to dig mine out to verify, but it is indeed an original "heavy sixer." I guess I always just assumed these were common garage sale fodder. Yay for having cool parents when I was a kid.
  7. Nuts...I can't find the "Edit" button. I used the wrong image host. And the rest of the stuff: Gamecube Xbox PS2 N64 (thinking of adding a 64DD) Dreamcast Not hooked up are: Atari VCS (original "Heavy Sixer") NES SNES Intellivision Atari and Coleco Pong machines Handhelds: Game Boy Color Game Boy Advance Virtual Boy
  8. No pic of just the Jag stuff as most of the boxes are...well...boxed up. But here's a list: AvP, Blue Lightning, Brutal Sports Football, Bubsy, Checkered Flag, Cybermorph, Doom (x2), Defender 2000, Dragon's Lair, Fever Pitch Soccer, Fight For Life, Flip Out, Highlander, Hover Strike, Iron Soldier, Kasumi Ninja, Missile Command 3D, NBA Jam: TE, Pitfall: TMA, Power Drive Rally, Primal Rage, Raiden, Ruiner Pinball, Space Ace, Super Burnout, Supercross 3D, Tempest 2000, Trevor McFur, Ultra Vortek, Val d'Isere, Vid Grid, White Men Can't Jump, Zool 2. Two Jags with a Jaglink, one Jag CD. Team Tap, Pro Controller. I'm trying to make my wife understand why I need to start picking up the expensive stuff now. Plenty of other vintage stuff in the attic...yay for my parents who had the foresight to get me a "Heavy Sixer" when I was a kid. Here's my setup and yes, everything's hooked up.
