  1. I'm guessing each system is about 9 lbs or so, right? So, in total, with packing materials it's about 43 lbs? That's not going to be super cheap. How far is it going? UPS ground or Fedex Ground are normally the cheapest options, unless it's shipping not too far, then USPS priority or parcel could be cheaper. Fedex Surepost could be cheaper, but it's slow boat from China speed- you drop off at a Fedex location, they transport and then deliver to USPS for last mile delivery. Whatever you do, insure the package- the cheaper shipping options seem to be a bit harder on parcels. When I ship something even remotely fragile I plaster the box with "FRAGILE", "GLASS", and "INSURED" in permanent marker. It may make no difference, but I have had good luck with very few package handling issues doing this. -Michael
  2. Hello all, I am new to this forum but have been somewhat collecting and definitely enjoying gaming systems forever, it seems. my first system was an Atari 2600, then I moved into a CD-I when my dad was working at Phillips Magnavox in the early 90s. Gameboy, Genesis, Playstation, X-Box... all the great toys to grow up with as a kid in the 80s and 90s, and a big kid in the 2000s. Anyway, I have a Neat old Fairchild system I need to sell. It is a type 1, with hard wired controllers. It was my father-in-law's, who purchased it when it was released, and I found it a little while ago in a dusty box when I was helping them move cross country. I tried firing it up, but nothing- an intermittent beep when powered on, nothing else. I pulled the top off of the unit and checked power at the cord- nothing coming in from the transformer. I then used a hot knife to open the transformer, reflowed the incoming lines connection to the prongs- still nothing on the output terminals. no clue what the problem is. The rest of the system is in good shape, other than the plastic dust cover on top of the system. At some time, it sat in the sun and warped. Joysticks are in good shape. Included are the cartridges 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 16. All games are in boxes with manuals. I am needing to divest myself of some stuff, namely collections- computing, gaming, musical instrument, etc- as we are working as well to move cross country this year from California to Kentucky or Indiana, still deciding which. To that end, I offer this system here for $120 shipped to anyone interested in playing with it. I think the games alone are worth that. I have been selling on eBay for over 15 years now with over 600 positive feedback, but am working on stepping away from the platform after getting burned by a fraudulent return and having eBay side completely and illogically with the buyer, regardless of any proof I provided. I am asking $120, but will take reasonable offers. I know none of the games are exceedingly rare, but they are uncommon in box. Also consider shipping costs- this is not a super light system, nor will it fit into a flat rate box, as well as paypal fees. I am in Apple Valley, California, if anyone is local and interested in pick up. I will adjust the asking price to suit not having to ship, should one be interested in that. I will also be down in the Buena Park area this Tuesday and can bring the system with me, if someone in the IE or OC is interested. Thanks, Michael
  3. That's awesome you're making new games for the Channel F, atari2600land! It is just such an obscure system. I have one in my meager collection I will be putting up in the Marketplace when I can. I did all I could to get it running, but it looks like the transformer is dead, for some odd reason. I found it in my father-in-law's garage when I was moving him and my mother-in-law cross country. I just stumbled upon this forum, and it's such a cool place. I love how much development is being done for these old systems. It's nice to see people putting their time into something they love, not just making another flappy bird port on iPhone to make some money.
