  1. I'll also experiment with PAL & NTSC settings -thanks! Silly me: I thought modern multisync monitors & VGA took that off the table, but I understand that when emulating this old hardware, it's still a factor. I'm using NTSC settings, and it's connected to a NEC multisync monitor via VGA on the MIST.
  2. Things are working great, except colors seem off in some games, and the game Sea Dragon's horizontal scrolling is jerkier than on the original machine. http://atariprojects.org/2019/05/18/play-sea-dragon-on-your-atari-8-bit-computer-15-60-mins/ Here's a video of it running more smoothly:
  3. After a number of tries, I finally got http://www.64kib.com/redmine/projects/eclairexl/wiki/Keyboard_mapping to load, which explains a lot.
  4. Aha! Not having an Eclaire, I didn't realize those instructions also applied to the MIST. F11 + V set it to VGA, and I'm now looking at a friendly menu. Thanks so much! I can now boot to the core, and set the VGA mode, but I can't figure out how to load a disk. I used to go into the MIST OSD menu to select one. I see F8+Enter is supposed to launch a prompt, but I'm not seeing that happen. Oddly, I'm getting "Internal server errors" on a lot of the links in the Eclaire wiki right now.
  5. This must be new! No, I don't know about sdflash.bin - where do I get it? I see on google (mentioned in one release page) that it has something to do with profile support, but there is no link to it, or other explanation. Thanks for helping, foft!
  6. I have dusted off my 4-year old MIST, upgraded its firmware and cores and everything is working as good (or better!) than before, except for my atari800 core. It boots to a black screen, and if I press F12, some thick vertical bars (and blocks at the top) show up - it looks like a rudimentary diagnostic, but it's stuck. I've checked my roms folder, messed around with other things, and don't get a working 800. Is the latest MIST firmware incompatible with this core, or is there something else I should look out for? thanks! dylan
