  1. Credit card declined and they're both out of stock. I'm pissed. They better have another preorder run...
  2. the exact law referenced prevents manufacturers from tying warranties to exclusive repair service. you are legally allowed to service and repair your property, and the manufacturer cannot void your warranty *unless* they prove you caused the damage during the repair. magnuson moss warranty act. https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/press-releases/2018/04/ftc-staff-warns-companies-it-illegal-condition-warranty-coverage apple will likely get this right taken away from us within the next decade, but for the moment if a company tries to deny your warranty you should immediately email a complaint to the FTC and CC the company's legal email address. they are in violation of the act. under the same law, analogue cannot force you to use analogue batteries. using a third party battery won't void your warranty, despite what analogue tells you. they'd have to prove the device failure was caused by the third party battery.
  3. Been following this thread periodically since Analogue announced the Sg. I was never into Sega, I think the only Genesis game I've played was Ecco in emulator decades after it was relevant. I'm excited to get this and catch up on all I've missed. I wish Analogue would officially confirm/deny ROM SD card support. I feel like it was only released on the Super Nt as a response to the negative feedback, and that they wanted to phase it out. I understand they want to distance themselves from piracy but it is frustrating from a consumer aspect, especially someone who has no interest/space for a cartridge collection. Does an EverDrive x7 support additional features beyond what the Sg will? Anything to justify its purchase alongside an Sg, similar to how SD2SNES had custom chip support?
  4. Hopefully people will crosspost the important things mentioned to this thread. Minor protip you can enter "from:kevtris" into the search box at the top right of Discord to only see messages from Kevtris across the entire server.
  5. I'm not a picky person and never return/refund purchases, but if I had preordered a transparent SNT I'd be demanding a refund. It was the sexiest of the renders, but what they shipped is downright offensive.
  6. There's nothing official, but batch 1 shipped at the start of February, and batch 2 shipped at the start of March. If I were to guess, I'd say the next one will ship at start of April. Just check the store page every few days -- it took a few weeks for them to sell out of batch 2 SF colors.
  7. 50 USD via DHL, or 60-100+ for DHL 4 business days (more expensive the further you are from hubs).
  8. My company does it on a weekly basis to dispute fraudulent chargebacks. Fraud departments do more research than you would think, and Analogue has all of the necessary evidence to reverse your chargeback. The more concerning aspect here is that you are admitting to willingly committing fraud against both your bank and Analogue.
  9. It works exactly as advertised. Analogue has never stated it would support ROMs. The exact reason Analogue/Kevtris refuse to comment on whether custom firmware is coming is precisely to prevent this legal mess. If they state it will run ROMs and custom cores prior to your purchase, then that fails to come to fruition, you are entitled to a refund by consumer protection laws. However, your unsubstantiated speculative 'expectations' does NOT match the advertised specifications of the system.
  10. You're all neglecting the One True Reason that Analogue/Kevtris are silent on the custom firmware: krikzz paid them off to boost sd2snes sales. Jokes aside, I got tired of waiting so I just preordered a black Super Nt and pink sd2snes. Next month will be fun! As for the current topic, it is a bit naïve to assume a non-answer means a positive answer. In fact it is dangerous to assume that, as you are misleading potential consumers who may buy the console on the premise of "that Wolf_ guy said there would be custom firmware!!". A non-answer is exactly that: a non-answer. It could be yes, it could be no. You cannot "logic" a positive answer no matter how hard you try.
