Says the person that doesn't understand what "new" means.
-
Oh boy, you're deteriorating. I've met a lot of dumb people in my life but only a few couldn't comprehend the stuff they wrote themselves. That takes... talent. You literally asked if it was the new version and the description says new in it. Please stop trying to defend yourself by making crap up. The sooner you accept you are lazy, stupid, or both the sooner you can work to change that.
-
Evidently your reading comprehension is so good you thought "New Starfox" meant the version from the 1990s so you probably shouldn't be talking about other people.
-
That's the point. You are. You've turned a question that was answered in the first line of the product description into over 10 email notifications to myself and the people following this thread because you are lazy, stupid, or both. And once again, if you want to ask someone a question, that is what private messaging exists for. Now please, shut up.
-
Me: "You shouldn't spam people with stuff you can easily find out on your own" You: "You have no friends because of your mommy issues!" Clearly my lecture about using basic reading comprehension skills to figure out stuff for yourself or how private messaging works has fallen on deaf ears. I tried to help you. I'm done now. Please stop spamming with offtopic things easily answered elsewhere and hissy fits.

If you bothered to read the product description "every FX game" doesn't leave anything up to interpretation, nor does "new Starfox". And if you wanted to ask someone a question why didn't you... ask them that question directly? This site has a pm feature and the person you want the info from is far more likely to notice a pm than a post in a thread. It's the little things like reading comprehension and thinking "gee is it worth sending everyone subscribed to this thread multiple notifications about my unrelated issue the best way to get information from this one person" that make the difference between self sufficient and needing to be spoon fed for life.
-
Did you try... reading the first line of the product description? Here, I'll quote it for you: "The Super FX All In One is one of our completely custom, menu-based cartridges that holds every FX game ever released for the Snes." Also before the Star Fox game it says "New" so I would assume that means the 2017 version. And lastly... why wouldn't you use the contact page for retrocircuits to contact them about questions you had about their product and ask here instead?
-
https://www.retrocircuits.com/custom-requests/ Right now the only one listed is a 4 in 1 you pick the games sa-1 cart but you might be able to make an order for a custom one with the 20ish SA-1 chip games in it. And if you read the product info page for the Super FX all in one it has the info you are looking for.

The chips used in the 32x are chips Kevtris has already built in fpga code for other systems. The difficulty in getting a 32x to work is the way it interacts with the Genesis.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the chips needed to run the 32x are already mapped and Kevtris has made cores for obscure systems like the Gameking and Gamate which have 40ish and 60ish games for the systems total. The issue with supporting the 32x and why he has said he doesn't want to do it is because of the sandwich combination method it uses to work with a regular Genesis. Also a large reason why the 32x and Sega CD were unpopular and didn't sell well was because of the marketing at the time. If Kevtris could find a way to support it inside the Genesis console and not as an external addon and offer an expansion port for the Sega CD that would be as good of a console as we can hope for with current tech.

I have the TCL P607 model (55 inch version to be exact) Rtings measured the lag at 14ms in game mode across the board: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/tcl/p-series-2017-p607 I don't have any professional lag testing equipment but using the lag estimating tool in the 240p test suite my results were 9/10ths of a frame of lag which matches the measurements the pros got. And I got the thing for just $500. Super impressive considering how well the image quality is rated and the response times it has.
-
Hard pass on sticking to crts. I have 9/10ths of a frame of lag on my 4k tv. And I'm not going to turn this into a crt vs digital debate. Also even if you manage to get a steal of a deal on your $200 Neo Geo and $75 component cables the flash cart for it alone still costs $500. A $180 fpga hdmi Neo Geo would be nucking futs.

On the subject of ps1 on the ps3 only the original fat model had actual ps2 hardware inside, the slim model supports the ps1 entirely through emulation. Even in the MLiG video on the best way to play ps2 games they didn't provide measurements for the lag this introduced as they didn't possess equipment to measure it accurately and converting it to digital for use via hdmi must introduce some lag and I doubt they put an ossc inside it. And like all emulation what the ps3 offers isn't perfect and there are a good handful of games that don't work at all on the ps3. Don't get me wrong if you can pick up a ps3 for cheap it is a wonderful way to play the games that do work but I would much prefer a lagless digital way to play and would absolutely buy instantly if it had the option to save game saves to the sd card instead of temperamental sony brand memory cards.

Hints are not proof. If I was them and heard the potential to sell to 4x the market was possible I would jump on that and ride it all the way to the bank and I can't think of a single company that wouldn't do the same. But this is getting repetitive so I'm done commenting on it now. We'll see who is right in the next 18 months or so.
-
It was his q&a with MLiG. He said he was very excited to work on it. And if they already have their next project decided on they sure as hell didn't say so when they were asked about it in the interview you cited as proof and that was just a few weeks ago.
-
I actually already commented about that if you read the posts you quoted...
-
My guess would be that they probably weren't aware that Kevtris was eyeing the ps1 at that time because their interview pre-dates his. I'm not ignoring obvious "facts". The only facts are that Analogue said what consoles they were looking at and Kevtris said he was eyeing the ps1 later and if they do the ps1 they would sell to 4 times the audience of the Genesis and considerably more than the Turbografx/Neo Geo. Based on those facts I would bet on the ps1 and the other consoles are not confirmed as being officially next in line. That is all I've said. Realistically they probably are putting 110% in the Super Nt right now and haven't even looked at a next project yet.
-
Yes, 0 proof. We know they are consoles Analogue is looking at but you have absolutely 0 proof those are the ones that WILL be next like you claimed. By that logic Kevtris saying he is excited to do the ps1 would be "proof" the ps1 is next.
-
We don't know at what point Kevtris estimated the difficulty of the PS1, I'm betting his evaluation of it as being possible is a result of what he learned working on the Super Nt's fpga. You can't make absolute claims about what will or will not be the next console covered with 0 proof to back it up.

1) I don't know if the ps1 uses proprietary cd reading hardware or if there is a publicly available cd reader they could pop in there. I haven't looked into it at all but my guess would be the latter. 2) Yes cds decay, but as long as you don't live in an extremely humid/damp environment that shouldn't be an issue any time soon. I wouldn't complain even if it didn't have an optical drive at all and only read content off the sd card. 3) Well the legality regarding emulators has long since been established and also Sony is no longer selling ps1 consoles or ps1 discs so I don't think they have a strong incentive to make themselves look like the bad guys. You have to remember that after the psn hacks and having to publicly apologize to the world Sony has been a lot more fearful of attacking fan passion projects. Idk how they would deal with the bios issue though. That is probably something we would have to provide for ourselves. That isn't what I would do. According to Wikipedia's best selling consoles of all time page the Genesis sold 30m units and the PS1 sold over 100m. If it is possible to make the ps1 with today's technology I would knock out consoles in the order of what will make me the most money, and I'm pretty sure basically every business on earth would do the same.
-
I know they mentioned the TurboGrafx and Genesis as likely next projects but because Kevtris said the Ps1 is doable and that would probably generate a lot more money for them I think that is the most likely. I just know if I was Analogue I would do the ps1 ASAP so I could buy that private island I've always dreamed of.
-
Kevtris sounded super excited to work on the ps1 and believes that it is possible with current tech so I'm betting that is the next stand alone system Analogue releases because it would fricken print money for them. That said they already have gb, gbc, and gg cores on the nt mini fpga so if they could fit that tech into a handheld device they would just need to design the hardware and print a shell. Also they could totes throw the other nt mini cores on there if it was using the nt mini fpga and you could have a handheld nes, a2600, a7800, master system, and maybe even genesis eventually. That would be a damn tempting handheld. I agree it is unlikely we would ever see a standalone atari fpga console but we might get one included in a handheld if they ever make it. And with any luck the cores will get ported to the super nt jb. Kevtris said it would be easy to do and *whoever* released the super nt jb sure seems handy with their coding so I hope they have the skills to accomplish it. I think you are overlooking the fact that many people love the Neo Geo but don't already have the literal several grand invested into owning one and a few games. Also having lagless digital video is still a feature many Neo Geo owners would be willing to drop $200 on. Not to mention with any luck it would get a jb and give you the chance to experience the Neo Geo library without having to sell your house.
-
The alternative seems to be setting the width to 1462 and height to 1200 but you lose 60 pixels from the top and bottom that way. In most games that doesn't matter at all but in some games you may need to adjust the vertical position to view more of the top or bottom.
-
Do we know if the jb firmware v6.5 has all the features of the current fw, like the built in game genie? Could be an older one that was just brought up to date. Also once the firmware is hacked updating it to work with the newest version could simply be as easy as copying and pasting the jb code and a few changed lines to add the features. I only say this because the jb firmware is constantly getting new features and bug fixes as is the main firmware so it seems pretty damn hard for one person to be doing both at the same time.

1) The quotes containing stuff you didn't say seems to have confused you in some manner, but that is generally a tip that someone is talking to more than just yourself. In my last post I was talking to you, the person that said msu-1 work was a waste of time (which was obvious because I quoted them), and the person that said Msu-1 wasn't an enhancement chip. 2) How exactly does telling people to be open minded about a device and not condemn it based on a single review, based entirely upon one person's opinion being thrown around like it is universal, or overlook all the other stuff the device can offer make me guilty of doing that myself and projecting it on to others? I'm genuinely interested how you came up with that. Actually nevermind don't bother responding it will just be a waste of space on this thread. Anyways I said I was done on the subject but since you feel the need to make digs at me I thought I would straighten you out. Now drop it. Any further stuff you feel like making up about me won't get another response. I'll simply flag it for moderation. If you want to troll or get a rise out of me you've come to the wrong person.
