Same here. Scheduled delivery Friday!

Not yet. Analogue originally said shipping end of week.

Just now, Ricdeau said:And order went through. I really hope the Analogue Duo and relist of Pocket aren't as much of a hassle.
After trying for 3 weeks around Christmas before finally getting a PS5, this was no hassle at all!
I'm super happy taking only 25 minutes to secure the NOIR!

I was able to add to cart in the first 5 seconds, now it says I'm in line to check out due to high traffic.
Crossing fingers!

(I am not, I like it very much but I like 500U$ even more)I'm gonna try. I was one of the ones mad at Analog because they originally said it was the exact same thing as the Mini. If I get one I'll try to sell my Mini.

On that site it is showing downloads for Noir jailbreak, as well as the Super NT, & Mega SG.
Since there isn't a link for non-Noir Mini, can we assume this new jailbreak works on the previous model? Anyone care to test?

Tearing in Master System games is a disaster for a system that's marketed as aiming for perfection, as is the broken pixel blending in the basic MegaDrive core.
The "Pocket" can look like a shiny and desirable new machine now, but after a long period of bugs being ignored like the Master System tearing and broken FM while other options don't have these bugs, you start looking at the console with regret, with an uneasy sensation of having been scammed.
What Analogue does is release new hardware while leaving small but important bugs in previous products. That way, something always feels "incomplete", so consumers go after the new (and immensely expensive thanks to abusive shipping rates) product, in their need to "get things right this time". Then, they are left with bugs again, and Analogue starts a new cycle.
This time, Analogue, I am NOT in, and my friends are not in either. If you had fixed MegaSG and SuperNT bugs by now, it would be different. Yeah, you may sell the amount of Pocket consoles for preorder, but by abusing consumers like you do (bugs, abusive shipping costs) you are digging your own grave. You are not alone in the FPGA market anymore, and community-driven projects tend to be far better than your bug-ridden and privative implementations.
I am OUT as well. I'm not too much into handheld's but would have bought just because it's another Kevtris project but after the poorly handled NOIR release information, I'm not going to spend money with Analogue for something I'm not 100% in on. When your customer service isn't working for me, you don't get my money blindly anymore.

1 hour ago, SegaSnatcher said:Not trying to be mean, but how would that even be possible? The cart slot is literally soldered to the pcb. Kinda weird to assume they would offer a cart slot that isn't easily interchangeable.
That's why I asked if they would make their new connector available for me to solder myself.
The point really was that I was asking 4 months ago what the details would be so I could decide if I wanted to pre-order or not. I was right back then in thinking they wouldn't tell us anything until after it was sold out. Not a big deal really. I'm happy with the V1 Mini so it will do, and after dealing with multiple customer service issues, & the insane shipping I'm pretty much done with them. As far as retro-gaming is concerned NES & SNES are what I grew up on so I really don't have any need for any of their new products. Was thinking of getting a Pocket, just because, well ... Kevtris, but I'll pass.

For anyone interested, here's my email conversation with Analogue from early March about the Noir details. It lays out my, and others, frustrations exactly.
Obviously the short conversation starts from the bottom. Note that on March 4 she said more details to come. Unfortunately those details didn't come until 4 months later, when the Noir was sold out. As feared in my response.
When are you going to release the information?
Being a V1 owner, how do I know if I want to preorder a V2 without knowing all the details?
Doesn’t make sense asking us to preorder a product without telling us exactly what it is?
When you finally release all the information, it’ll probably be too late to preorder (Since you say it’s the last run) !?!?
Please confirm any information to a loyal customer! (NT Mini, Super NT, Mega SG, & hopefully Pocket)

What are the "many new hardware features that required fundamental internal re-designs"?

Hello Jeff,
Thanks for reaching out. The Nt mini [v2] has many new hardware features that required fundamental internal re-designs. Unfortunately Nt mini [v2] redesigns like the cartridge slot and more are not compatible and interchangeable with previous Nt Minis.
Cheers!

Are you going to be making the new NES cartridge slot available for NT Mini V1 owners? I'm a loyal owner of NT Mini, Super NT, & Mega SG and would really like an updated cartridge slot for my Mini without having to buy the new version.
So many issues with cartridges!! Can you make an adapter? Or make available the connector for my to solder? -
3 minutes ago, CZroe said:That's huge! Kind of upsetting at the same time... only reason I didn't preorder one is because we were told it was the same except for the cartridge slot and I didn't want to spend that much on something without horizontal interpolation for non-integer scaling.
That said, this kinda hints that there will be a plastic one, considering that Nt Mini Noir was announced as limited product and I strongly doubt they would do all this for only limited preordered units.
My thoughts, EXACTLY!

Yet another example of Analogue's customer service failing! During the pre-orders I was debating if it's worth i upgrading from my NT Mini & Analogue wouldn't give any details. Of course I didn't pre-order & now I can't.
Just don't understand why it would have been so hard to let us know the details, other than a new & improved cartridge slot.

2 hours ago, vanfanel said:Don't you guys think a small firmware update to the Super NT is long due? I mean, latest update doesn't even load settings on boot...
And MegaSG has some bugs, too, like people getting tearing on Master System games, broken OPL sound in Master System games too, broken voices in Colecovision games, horrid composite pixel blending simulation...
For unselective composite pixel blending simulation alone, an update would be greatly needed, now that the MegaSG isn't the only FPGA MegaDrive hardware.
For Analog, it's not good press to leave us with partially broken solutions when they advertise perfection.
And I am sure Kevtris loves his creations.
Why not perfect them and leave a good taste so we aquire new machines from them in the future?
I agree. I'm very happy with my Analogue products (NT Mini, Super NT, Mega SG) but it is a shame that continued support, firmware updates, & bug fixes seem to not be of any concern to them.
The Pocket is really not something that interests me too much but I have considered getting one just because it's going to be another great Kevtris project. I'm on the fence but heavily leaning towards no due to Analogue's terrible customer service, overpriced shipping, & their tendency to forego supporting bug fixes after a the first few weeks in order to move onto a new product.

So there’s more information to know, eh? Maybe I’m just being strung along...
I think you may be right about there being more going on than it seems.
I asked Analogue about their new cartridge slot and if a V1 can be retrofit and got this from Jonie:
"The Nt mini [v2] has many new hardware features that required fundamental internal re-designs. Unfortunately Nt mini [v2] redesigns like the cartridge slot and more are not compatible and interchangeable with previous Nt Minis."
I asked what the "many new hardware features" are but have yet to receive a reply.
Kinda bums me out. Wish their Mini re-release was the same. All the people that missed out whined & cried, now their getting a better version? (flame on!)

26 minutes ago, Jagasian said:The fact that both the cartridge connector and the UI are confirmed to be updated suggests that Kevtris has likely added other improvements in the firmware. He is the only person at the company that works on the UI, which is part of the firmware. I am crossing my fingers for interpolation support.
What about an adapter for the improved connector for V1!?

30 minutes ago, eebuckeye said:I hope this means more work will be done on the NT mini cores including releasing the Intellevision one which I believe Kevtris said was pretty much done a long time ago. When I bought the NT mini cartridge adapters were in process of being made for it - would be awesome to see these finally come true!
Couldn't agree with you more.
Glad everyone is getting a chance at the Mini again, my only fear is that there will be some additions that won't available to us owners of V1.
Debating getting a V2 as well just in case.

Why buy a Super NT or Mega SG then? Isn't it's purpose to let you SNES & Genesis on LCD's in HD? Why no just use an original system for cheaper than $199 for the system & $79 for the DAC?
There must be some other purpose for the DAC, right?
-
Kind of a stupid question, but here goes:
I have an NT Mini, Super NT, & Mega SG. Why do I need a DAC? What is it's purpose?

Question: does anyone get static electricity shocks from their MegaSg? Like, the majority of the time when youre putting in an SD card or touching the power button? I just had one that was so bad that it burnt out the blue LED inside the power button, and now I cant make it glow blue or white. :/
Yes. I haven’t felt it but my brother has and at least one other user here reported it. Multiple times I’ve pressed power to shut it off and had it reboot instead, which may be due to static shocks I can’t feel. Gotta say: I was fine with it if it was just shocks and reboots when shutting down, but taking out an LED elevates the issue a bit.
It could conceivably fry something more important on the board too.In case it becomes relevant: Mine is the USA color (red power button). How about yours?
Mine is the JPN one. I put in an email to Analogue support so hopefully something gets figured out soon.
This only ever happened to me with my Mega CD Model 1 attached that needs repair due to bad capacitors. I was also using Sega's power brick with it which I don't recommend. If you use a Sega/Mega CD, use the PSU from Retro Game Cave.
Besides that my Mega Sg and Super Nt are plugged into this:
I'm sure the USB adapter that comes with it is more recommended.
I get shocked almost every time I put my finger near it to turn it off. I just sent them an email about it too. It can't be a coincidence anymore.
Static shocks have yet to be an issue for me, however this is very concerning.
Hopefully Analogue addresses this soon.
Any thoughts Kev?

Are we taking bets on what they'll announce in 2019? Also, what'll it be called? Here's some fun speculation:
Duo Tg (PC Engine/Turbo Duo)
Mega Sd (Sega CD with *ahem* different storage methods available)
Nt Mini 2 (NES, duh)
CMVS Mini (consolized MVS on FPGA, a throwback to their first product)
The list of commercially viable products is shrinking with each new release. I don't see the CMVS Mini as a serious suggestion because I don't know that it would sell enough to be viable. The other three probably would, though. Any of those that can do SD loading and multiple cores is an insta-buy.
It seems like affordable FPGAs aren't yet able to handle a 3DO, PS1, or Saturn clone.
I'll bet they revisit the NT Mini. They'll make a cheaper version more in-line with the SuperNT/MegaSG.
I vote for a CMVS Mini, but I'm hoping Kev will finally release an Intellevision core for the NT Mini.

I hate to be "one of those" guys posting about shipping status, but I ordered within a minute or two or pre-orders and it just says Shipping Label Created. Anybody else like this? (I'm from the US east coast
I'm ordered mine on 3/22 from Florida & I'm in the same boat as you, Shipping label has been created with delivery scheduled by end of day Wednesday. Most likely they're shipping out those which were ordered first.

After messing around for weeks, I've settled on these:
1080p (just like the sharpness over 720p)
6x width 5x height. (I like to fill as much of the screen as possible without cutting anything off & want integer scaling)
Hybrid scanlines +55 (Never liked scanlines before but I am warming up to them. Slowly increasing the depth as well)
Scale3x (Just like how the images are less "pixelated" and seem more smooth. Also color seems better to me)
Limit RGB - off (when i turn it on, everything seems to get grayed out, just don't like the image)
Buffer (zero delay)
Also, light having the LED set to center pixel. Not sure why but I think this is so cool!
what are everyones preferred video settings?
-
On the hotkey selection, could we get l/r as options? I think start+select+l+r would be my ideal reset hotkey.
I've been thinking the exact same thing. Although I'm getting better at not accidentally hitting the hotkeys I have setup, I know the problem would totally be gone if we could use the L & R buttons.
I'd also really like to see the option to save profiles so that when I move the console to another room and television, it's just one quick selection instead of changing all the options.
I've had my Super NT for a week now and after playing with all the video settings, I finally have it dialed in exactly how I prefer and it looks and plays amazing. I'm enjoying this even more than I enjoy my NT Mini. I know Kevtris said it isn't possible, but my only knock on the system is that my lazy ass can't power it on and off with the controller.
Great job Analogue & Kevtris! you guys are 2 for 2 with these consoles and you've exceeded my expectations. I'm definitely pre-ordering whatever comes next!

It's strange that they updated the connector on the Noir, but wouldn't make the slot smaller to stop the looseness of the cartridge.
They realized the issue, but half-assed the fix.
