  1. Might have to wait a few seconds, you should see that briefly while YT re-directs. Checked it on 2 computers and both did take me to the correct page.
  2. I would love to see this as well. I'm not a big Linux guru, but definitely not afraid of trying. If anyone has a prototype/starting point to share, maybe we could setup a github repo to build from it until we get it working? I would try to contribute to it, though my skills are primarily Java, JavaScript, tiny bit of python for a robot prototype, arduino, vb and C#.Net (from like 7 years ago).
  3. It would definitely be entertaining to watch, but I'm not dumping mine. I'll just pass it down to my kids to let them ebay it in 20 or so years for thousands of dollars My son (13) knows how valuable it could potentially be, so I'm teaching him early. But for now, I'd just love to get through the dang thing once outside of Practice mode!
  4. I'm trying new things on each video, I have a lot to learn. This one I tried to focus on improving audio, not sure how well that went but some effort went into it. Your videos are great, I wouldn't change a thing! You have a much better voice for videos than I do. I have to record/re-record mine about 10 times before I get something I actually use. I'll need to do this for a few years before I ever try a live-stream I also try to make sure I don't overlap any videos that you or others have done. Dragon's Lair was an exception, I bought some hardware specifically to capture that game and had to justify it to my wife. I was on the hook for that video. But, I took a different route by playing in practice mode instead of demonstrating how badly I suck at the game. I know Tursi would much rather people play it the way you and Glen did, but I am really that bad at it.
  5. This worked great for me on the FinalGROM 99, thank you for doing this twoodland! Much easier than having to launch Editor Assembler
  6. Finally got around to making a video on the FinalGROM 99. You can check it out here: The video covers the following: 1. How to use the FinalGROM 99 by Ralph Benzinger 2. How to copy the .bin files to the FG99 3. How to apply the 3D Printed case (I used a model from thingiverse) 4. Testing Stuart's Browser on the FG99 (using twoodland's .bin file - worked great thank you!) 5. Playing a small portion of many games (retro and homebrew) 6. At the end, play the full Don't Mess With Texas Demo by Rasmus, Tursi and others (really awesome job guys!) I want to thank all of the excellent TI developers (HW & SW) that keep the TI alive! Also thanks to OmegaTI for keeping the archives up-to-date and well documented.
  7. That is so cool! Did you happen to take any video of your trip? If you did/have enough footage and want someone to edit for you, I'd be happy to do so. I could send you my edits back for you to post or I could post it to my YT channel, either way. That would be a great piece of history to preserve!
  8. Added your site, thank you! Started watching some but I have a lot more to go
  9. I added a new "Favorites" page to my website to showcase some the excellent YouTube channels and links that I've collected relating to the TI-99/4A / Retro-Computing. If you have a channel and I've added it to this list and you want it removed/updated/description revised or a new channel added, please let me know. I'm sure I've missed some, but I've added what I know. Link here
  10. Maybe SpaceACE next? Woot woot!! jk Tursi, I know you're done with licensed IP's.
  11. Hi Bill, I fully understand. Yes, it does take a bit of an investment to add all this stuff. I've not added it all up, but I'd guesstimate around $3-400 (32k, TIPI, RPi, Cases, FG99, etc.) I don't have the F18A, been wanting one but I found out about AtariAge around Jan. '18 and missed it. I remember my old CorComp 9900 Micro Expansion was ~$450 back in the day, with 2 DSDD external drives. I miss that device, wish I had never sold it. I do have a PEB I bring it out on rare occasions but the TIPI is small enough that I can pack all my main TI stuff into a tub when I'm done (I have limited desk space in the office). I also have the nanoPEB but mostly just use the TIPI for everything. However, the nanoPEB is an outstanding option too. If you were interested, you could do the same with what you have already. Just add the TIPI PEB card (assuming you still have the original PEB)+RPi and you have pretty much everything else already. That would save you about $150 over what I show in the video and could be added incrementally as your budget permits. You would only need the TIPI board (~$95) and RPi (~$40), at least that is my understanding - someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Just a thought if it helps. It is just a hobby and I look at it that way but I also like to tinker and being able to use the Pi to bridge the internet with the TI is/was intriguing enough for me. We're fortunate that the TI has so many options available. The best one is the one that gives us the most enjoyment and is within our hobby budget.
  12. Remove power from the machine, then take a q-tip and alcohol, push down the front door of the cartridge slot and wipe the q-tip really good against the contacts. Let it dry for about 30-45 min., power on the machine and insert the cartridge and see if that helps.
  13. I created a basic TI Website about a little over a week ago (from a TI, the link is wagnerstechtalk.com/ti99/z.htm ). Haven't had time to make a video of Stuart's Browser+TIPI+ until this weekend. Hope you enjoy it:
  14. Thanks Stuart, this is fun! On a TI, visit: wagnerstechtalk.com/ti99/z.htm
  15. Thank you Stuart, I'll give this a try! I did wind up clearing some temporary desk space to give this a try Not much content yet, but adding to it: http://wagnerstechtalk.com/ti99/z.htm
  16. Just curious if there is a way to test the TI-rendering of a web page in Stuart's Bowser using Classic99? I tried to run it last night in Clasic99 but it stated TIPI not found and stopped, not sure if there is another way of running it or emulating the TIPI. I'm looking at this for a way to test the rendering between the web page+browser without having to walk between the PC & the TI (not enough desk space in one location for both).
  17. OK, had to play during lunch A simple page was created at wagnerstechtalk.com/ti99/z.htm . I'll add some actual content this weekend. Too cool!
  18. This is AWESOME Stuart, I tried it out last night and am really impressed! I'm seriously considering making a TI-only section on my http://wagnerstechtalk.com/retro-computing site just for your browser. Of course, it may take me a little while to develop but should be fun to give it a go.
  19. Excellent job Tursi! I still can't believe this is possible, even after playing it for a few hours
  20. Here's a video I made last year installing it in the Corei64 case, there is some speed up but you can pause it if you need some stills. I took the liberty of fast forwarding it for you, feel free to rewind if you want to see what you missed. https://youtu.be/5NPYWeCx-lk?t=97 You can see the results of the size command here.
  21. Once my invoice is sent and game is received, I'll definitely be making a video of the gameplay and detailed review (picked up a new video capture device just for this game, mostly). Can't wait to get my hands on it, I think you're getting close to my #59.
