What's the latest Atari related thing(s) you've bought on ebay?
FlorianD replied to Ross PK's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
not from ebay, but acquired lately: 1. ATARI 1030 Modem 300 Baud where to find a copy of the user manual? where to get software (automatic download on boot doesnt work, wonder why) 2. 850 without shell, owner said it was a circuit board only which he completed on his own -
Hello, may I introduce the XMJ8? Its an MultiJoy8 adapter in ATARI XE Style. http://www.akk.org/~flo/XMJ8/xmj8.html Best regards, Florian

@pepax you can test the sears device with the joystick test and then with the paddle test. I dont see the benefit in adding a new device for that. Maybe the MultiJoy 16 will make it into the software one day. Another thing would be a Autofire speed indicator. But I have no idea yet how to program that. A friend made me a cartridge with Hardwaretester on it. VERY handy, no need for a floppy oder SIO2*** to quickly check the functions of a device. If someones interested, I could provide a cart file too on my site. Regards, Florian

Because we have to keep up with people who make atari XL laptops and 1450XLD replica machines.. And because stuff like tape-recorders and slow assed printers are useless nowadayze, and often the belts, print-heads, pens, etc. are shot and not worth replacing, so the "XL-style" plastic is put to good use by hacking it up and making something kewl that matches your machine, rather than looking like something you built from a kit in a highschool electronics class.. thats right! my stuff is all XE style. Next to my 130XE sits an XSIO2USB (an XC12 shell with a SIO2USB built in, even the keys are working), In front sits an XMc08+ (whoa, whats that you might think? Its an ATARI ST SM124 monitor, slightly hack(saw)ed. Now it houses an 8" TFT an fits perfectly into my collection). Because I like playing multijoy games, my multijoy needs a new housing too. And the ST printer interface fits perfectly. I will post an article sooner or later, but heres pictures of the stuff without text for the curious... http://www.akk.org/~flo/xe.html -

Looking for 1200XL startupdisplay as a file
FlorianD replied to FlorianD's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Hi, put the logo on the right hight on the screen and added the source to the disk image. Just click the link above. @Rybags: you're right, the rainbow effect was well overdone in the past. All I wanted was the startup screen of the 1200XL as a file. I'll try your suggestion with the color changing when I find time. Thanks for the idea! Best Regards! -

That "XLD" belongs to Beetle and is homemade too, as is his XL Laptop. Both, the Laptop and the XLD stirred massive interest at the visitors. Even the Senoir Vice President from ATARI France who visited us was astonished. And so were the two guys from EA and the one from Activision. We were glad to welcome them all at our booth and show them that ATARI is far away from being forgotten. Florian Dingler ABBUC press officer

Hello, I like the 1200XL startup screen with the ATARI sign and the rainbow colors. Is there a file version available, if yes where? Just to have it as a "demo". Regards, Florian -- still working on the SIO2USB Shell...

Any interest in USB2Serial SIO2PC support 4 OSX/Linux/Win
FlorianD replied to belboz's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Hello, I would be very glad to have software running on an Apple Macintosh. So I could get rid of that lame Pentium 100 Laptop giving aches while using it with SIO2PC. PLEAAAASE go on developing! Can we help you? Can you publish the sourcecode? Just a thought: it would be great to include that into ATARI800 emulator, so the emulator would be a diskdrive for a real ATARI too. Regards (from Germany), Florian
