I have a back log of consoles i need to recap. I just finished a Sega cd model 1 and really need to do my vectrex before something bad happens there. After that, I have an arcade cabinet that needs the crt recapped. And...I also need to do that xbox click cap.

I remember there being more negativity for the GameCube than the xbox. The GC was regarded as the weaker system. To quote the xbox sales ad: "one is the most powerful gaming system on the planet. The other is purple and has a handle."

Personally, I think the xbox has held up extremely well. It's still a fun system, with a great library.

I've bought a few here and there for various systems, for games that are just absurdly expensive. Physically, they're not as nice as the originals. The plastic is cheaper, the labels aren't as nice etc. That being said, I've never had one that didn't load the rom and wasn't playable. If you go through a site like ali express, they're usually only a couple bucks.

The Saturn cleaned up pretty nice after I got all of the coffee out of it. It works well too, reading a Virtua Fighter 2 disc that I thought for sure was a goner. Initially there was an issue recognizing the controller, but it was just dirty contacts and after cleaning them and inserting the cord a couple times, voila!

The Nomad is not as easily rehabbed. It is suffering from a very scratched up screen and will need a recap to work properly. I may have this one converted to a modern LCD as well. Need to talk to Crossbow about this one.
