It would have been funny if the photo was in the first post. This was too long for a joke to drag on.

Eb & Gamestop stop taking trades for ps1 and n64 games
dalton4life replied to 8th lutz's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Yard sales for me have been more miss than hit for me. I rarely find anything good. Pawnshops are where I make my N64 finds. I've bought many rare N64 games for $5 and then sold them on Ebay if they weren't games I wanted for my collection. -
Why don't you open the UMD drive and take a look to see if something blocking it? You should be able to put a game in there with little issues. There should be a bit of tension before it locks into place, but that's it.

Gameboy looks great on a shelf, but the Gamepocket is much better to play since the screen is so much better. Although I prefer the Gameboy Color do to it using AA batteries, the silver Gamepocket is my favorite looking Gameboy. The black one looks pretty good too.

I doubt it. If it can play PS2 games, it's capable of reading both CD and DVD. Besides, CD is cheap once you have DVD. I believe they're close enough that they can use the same laser diode. Maybe it really only be able to read DVD PS2 games. Most PS2 games are on DVD. Sony may feel the general public won't mind. -

E3 2006 - Will you be there ?
dalton4life replied to andy_bernstein's topic in Modern Console Discussion
No unfortunately, but I did go to the 1998 E3 in Atlanta. It was cool. Sega was gearing up for Dreamcast. Enjoy all the stuff you'll get to see before everyone else. -
I had a nice pawnshop Xbox 360 games score today.

Sent you a PM Zoop and congrats on the 360 purchase! -
That's not really a price drop. It's just 0% interest for 22 months unless they giving some kind of bundle. The Premium or just Xbox 360 as MS calls it now has been $399.99 since launch.

Thanks Chickybaby & Moyom. And yes Moyom I try to check them out 1-2 times a week. They sell all N64 and Gamecube games for $5. PS2 and Xbox games go for $8 and they will negotiate on top of that. Whenever they have strategy guides they usualy are in near mint condition even if they for N64 games. They usually give them to me for free when I buy a couple of games. I love them as a frugal gamer and small time eBay seller. -
No rings, no problems what so ever for me so far. I've had my since January. I'm just hoping for the best, but if it messes up I'll just send it to MS. I have plenty to play to keep me busy until I get it back. So far MS have put out the only disc based systems that I haven't had to repair or replace. I never owned a Gamecube, but I've heard those are pretty problem free.

We have 6 of the same games. I was looking to get Oblivion, but wanted to wait until I beat a couple of more of my 360 games first. I may just get this weekend since it's $49.99 at Compusa.

Which ones do you have? I have 10 too. Condemned and Fight Night are the only ones I completely finished although I should be done with CoD2 the next time I play it.

The arcade Punch-Out!! is one of my favorite arcade games of all time and it's what made boxing one of my favorite game genres. Mike Tyson's Punchout never did the arcade game justice. I think most fans of that game didn't play the arcade version. However, Super-Punchout!! on SNES was in many way better than the arcade IMO.

I really like my Jag, but it's no contest at all. N64 wipes the floor with it and it should. It came out 4 years later by a much superior company in terms of the games they made and they way they ran their business.

Best spider- man and best Batman games.
dalton4life replied to darklord1977's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I know many didn't like it, but I really did like Ultimate Spider-man. It may have been short, but I got stuck on of a few of the stupid chases so that made the game last a bit longer for me than it should have. Graphics played a role, because I wanted to play a Spider-man game the looked like a comic book instead of the photo realistic direction the movie games were taking. Plus I played it for Spider-man and not Venom, although a new game featuring a playable Venom storyline from the begining would be very cool. Spider-man 2 (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube) lasted longer and had a more complex web slinging system, but I didn't like that game at all. -
I never thought Revolution was going have anywhere near mind blowing graphics. According to IGN it's a tad less powerful than the original Xbox, but with a totally differently architecture sort of like Mac vs. PC. My main concern is how well they do with the great revolutionary gameplay they are hyping. http://revolution.ign.com/articles/699/699118p1.html

Didn't they all? I sure hope they've given the control a Resident Evil 4-quality makeover. Trying to play a new Tomb Raider with the old 90's control would be almost unbearable. JR I think the recent PoP games borrowed from the original Tomb Raider games and improved on them. So this reminds me a lot of a PoP game. Basically it just came full circle. You are in for a big disappointment hoping for an RE4 type make over. Moving Lara around is pretty decent, but the combat sucks. Think Dead to Rights with much worse control and targeting. Fortunately the puzzles are the what make the game and you can deal with the combat system since most the battles are pretty easy.

Spider-man has had a better showing in video games that Batman IMO. Most Batman games have been pretty bad. Here's my favs from both: Spider-Man: Spider-man - Dreamcast Ultimate Spider-man - Multi (played on PS2), fun but short and I love the cell shaded graphics. Maximum Carnage - SNES, I used to like the Genesis Spider-man Vs. The King better, but today I'd much rather play Maximum Carnage that one. The Genny game seems way dated, now while Maximum Carnage was pretty mindless fun action then and still is today. Batman: Batman the Video Game - Genesis Batman Begins - Multi (played on Xbox) Batman Returns - Sega CD -
I've been playing the Xbox box version for a couple of days now. I like it. I'm leaning towards getting the 360 version from play-asia for $40 for the Asian version. It's supposed to have english as an option and be region free. It's a bit on the easy side, but the best Tomb Game since Tomb Raider 2. It's plays a lot like Prince of Persia.

Having a 360 and PSP already and a PS3 on pre-order, I'm really have my doubts about Sony this go round. They were lucky Sega was so screwed up as a company when Dreamcast was the competition. This time it's MS with the head start and they are a well oiled machine with more money than anyone. Also from what I've read, it's not that clear to me PS3 is that much more power than Xbox 360.
