1. Thanks. I have art background, but this is still tricky to get right. I made some changes uploaded them to the same URLs.
2. Yes you can. I have to wait on getting a wireless adapter before I get Xbox live, but I'll be going online with it soon.
3. I think it's pretty cool, but Iwas able to close rcapture my features in Smack Vs. Raw. 4. That's a good point that's rarely mentioned. I think the DS was Nintendo's quick solution to deal with PSP, but it's taken off on them. With Nintendo's track record it's safe to assume they would ridden the GBA out for a few more years before coming out with something new if Sony hadn't enter the handheld market.
5. I disagree. The original question asked, does 360 look next gen on a standard TV? I think you can still tell it does from 360 footage I've seen on Xplay. That footage clearly looked better than what my Xbox and PS2 were producing hooked up properly. I didn't mention the 360 hardware would look even better than the TV footage, because I assumed that everyone would know that.
6. I think a Capcom fighting game is a must.
7. That's a good point on the cable. Most people probably watch a lot of cable and if your cable isn't HD it's not going to look much better than it would on a regular TV on an HD one. In some cases it even looks worse.
8. Need for Speed Most Wanted and NBA 2K6 both look a lot better than the Xbox version on both of my non HD TVS. I have both version of both games. Fight Night Round 3 looks beyond amazing. Kameo is pretty jaw dropping too. You don't want to use a standard TV smaller than 27" IMO, becase many games automatically run in widescreen so your viewing area is even less because it's letterboxed. On the quality difference, think of how much better PS1 looks using AV hooks ups vs. RF. It's a difference like that. While not a huge difference, it's noticable. Watch X-play on G4 if you get that channel and see what some 360 game look like on your TV.
9. Today I picked up on of the games I've been looking most forward too, Fight Night Round 3 for Xbox 360. Others eagerly waiting for include: Xbox 360 Blazing Angels, Gears of War, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, The Godfather, and Superman Returns. PS2 Metal Gear Solid 3:Subsistence PS3 Metal Gear Solid 4:Sons of Liberty, War Hawk and Resident Evil 5. PSP Powerstone Collection and Splinter Cell Essentials
10. Take Resident Evil 4. You never see Leon's face but technically it's a 3rd person game. I like to refer to those as 3rd person over the shoulder only view. Infected on PSP is like that. I think Star Wars Battlefront is like that too. It's a different type off play then a full view 3rd person shooter like Max Payne where you can see all of the character you are controlling if you want.
11. It's not bad, but not that good either. It's just ok and definately not worth $69.95 IMO mint or not. I paid about $30 for brand new copy and I felt that's pushing it for what it is.
12. 1nd and 2nd where probably merged since they are all 8-bit consoles except Intellivision.
13. I use these wooden crates I bought from Wal-mart for my 5200 and Jaguar carts. It's easy to flip to games with them. I've been meaning to paint them white to match the bookcase but I haven't gottem around to it. It may look a little cluttered, but it's in a corner nook that you can't see until get close.
14. http://www.psxextreme.com/scripts/ps3-news/new.asp?newID=122 If that's true I can only image how crazy the shortages will be compared to how they've been for 360 which have been crazy enough.
15. PS2 no question except it's not dying. I don't think it's in the middle of it's life. It's more like getting towards the last quarter of it. That'll begin once PS3 is launced. Xbox clearly lost this round and they want to focus on 360 to get a jump on PS3 to get more of the market. There's more to it than that but this article says it as well as I could have typed it and saves me the time. http://www.joystiq.com/2006/02/06/whys-the...-cost-more-now/
16. God of does nothing that hasn't been done before, but it does it so well with such style. The graphics are some of the PS2's best, the music is perfect for the game and the story and cut scenes really pull you into it. Did you fight the 3 headed hydra beast yet? That's when the game really starts getting good IMO. It a one of the best hack and slashers IMO and a touch better than Ninja Gaiden Black just because of the story and I don't like Ninja Gaiden music. Although Ninja Gaiden has far superior graphics.
17. GTA III was huge for PS2 but that's not the only thing the PS2 had going for it. 2001 was the year of PS2 with Devil May Cry, GTA III, Gran Turismo 3, Final Fantasy X, and Metal Gear Solid 2. It's the 2001 flood of blockbuster games that PS2 really rode, not just GTA.
18. My point is how long can a system ride one game? Anyone who's still thinking about buying a PSP just for GTA:LC is likely waiting for a price drop in the system. Think about it, if you bought a PSP just for GTA you pretty much bought yourself a $300 portable game there. With Xbox 360 out now and PS3 on the horizon I really didn't see GTA selling that many more system in 2006 in PSP with it still costing $250. Plus there's the Revolution factor. So I really do think most PSPs sold this year would have been based on more than just GTA:LC being a PSP exclusive. One thing history has shown me is that many if not most people spending big money which is what I consider PSP, want the newest shiney new toys. That means news games, not clutching to 1 or 2 good that are several months old. Sorry for the length the post.
19. The difference is MS owns the rights to Halo. Sony doesn't own the rights to GTA. Sony needs to come out with it's own killer app that can be exclusive. A PSP version God of War or Gran Turismo might do the trick.
20. On GTA:LC coming to PS2 I don't see what the big deal is. The game has been out since October and I think anyone who would have bought a PSP just for that game has already done so by now. It's release in October was perfect for boosting 2005 Christmas season PSP sales and I guess it did it's job. Now it's time for Take 2 to make more money off it. It's almost like getting mad because a greatest hits game costs $20 instead of $50 when it's first released.
21. I don't have one but I have a Polaroid portable DVD player and I must say it's top notch player for such a relatively inexpensive unit. I think the 15-1 games model just cost a little more than the player it's so it might not be that be that bad of a deal.
22. You can't sell any game console modded even if you word it differently. I tried and they killed my auctions before they finished. One was a flip top PS2 and the flip top was just because the tray broke and not for back ups. I even said that in the auction. It did eventually sell, but they tried to stop it. It is possible to slip through the cracks sometimes. I saw someone sell a soft modded Xbox a little while ago that went the whole 7 days before it sold. I doubt they'd let the carts sell either.
23. It's only counterintuitive if you've played with left-handed controllers your whole life.... 1015996 My first console was a 2600 and being left handed I always found the joystick hard to use. I was jealous of my neighbor who had a Colecovision and my cousin who had a 5200. The nicer graphics where cool, but I really like the fact their controllers were made to be held left handed or right handed. I am very uncoordinated with my right hand. So I had to cock my right to hold the base and control the joystick with my left. 1016072 So I take it you love what the japanese have done with the industry, controller-wise? You've got the advantage now. 1016103 Well heck yeah I do! Other than FPS games it's becoming a very lefty friendly gaming world.

25. Hardest. The 2600 Joystick. It's quite hard to use when you are left handed. Easiest NES. I was so happy when I saw it wasn't using a 2600 style joystick.
