Thanks for all your replies. I do agree the 800 would be alot easier with less hassle. It was more that I got this system for free and would love to add it to my collection. I've got the the lynx Jag and 2600 so would be cool. I'm not fussed with soldering but like the idea of the UAV. Would I have issues with regional compatibility with this system aswell and would you recommend the memory upgrade aswell?

Hi. To start I will apologies if I have put this in the wrong place or not followed the rules, I'm new to this forum but looking for help. I was going through my old man's stuff and I come across this 600xl. The box is abit tattered but I don't think the system it self has ever been used. It comes with original PSU (American),rf box and all manuals and is in awesome condition. It is the NTSC model which instantly gives me a problem. Is it worth me modding this to composite or am I going to come across more hurdles as I continue with this like Region locked games or anything else? It does power fine ( well I see the power light on the sustem, obviously can't see it on a screen). If it's worth a go does anyone have a simple mod description? I've looked online but only come across circuit diagrams. I have done mods on other consoles before from description and pics or videos so happy to give it a go but not I'm not very clear on reading circuit diagrams. If any one could shed some light on this with a "Noddy breakdown" or video or pics I would really appreciate it. Again thank you for allowing to join the forum.
