I am watching The Shapeshifting Detective and will pick it up. Not quite out in the UK yet - next week I think. They also did "The Bunker". I have not played this but does look pretty good. I completed Night Shift last night, on the Switch. Much easier compared to the original versions (due to the thumbnails showing movement). Not yet achieved a perfect score but pleased I have finally completed after pretty much 25 years playing !!

I love this game and also own on the 3do - Double Switch on the Mega CD was another very similar game with famous actors such as Corey Haim, Debbie Harry (from Blondie) and R Lee Ermey (Drill Instructor from Full Metal Jacket). Trapping the bad guys is the aim here also. A good "recent" FMV game is Late Shift - great acting and a story which changes based on your decisions. Well worth a look. It is on the e-shop.

I am using the 6 button 3rd party (with the removable stick) for most games. Works ok but can be a bit twitchy on games like Demolition Man. Other than this, I have a flight stick for games like Wing Commander and also the standard "official"pad.

Nice haul. I have bought only a couple of games recently as have been getting into the Megadrive and Mega CD again. Panzer General - £5 on amazon but didn't realise it was discs only. Still a good price and shipped free from Germany. Shock Wave (small box) Quarantine - Long Box and the Disc/case within is still sealed - £5 from Amazon and shipped free from Germany. I am loathed to unwrap Quarantine as it is sealed but dying to play!!

Your Favorite 3DO exclusives?

Yes you are correct that there are other versions - I messed up on that BUT Captain Quazar was intended as an exclusive and didn't go over to the PC until after the 3do has been discontinued. Return Fire went over much sooner to the PC and PSX as a Port of the original 3do title (in 1996). (3do version was 1995). Maps of Death was 3do only. I have never played Immercenary so I do intend to get to that one eventually. Slayer is a great game. -
Is the 3DO Flightstick Pro a good buy?...
Magnum0ik replied to ataridave's topic in 3DO Interactive Multiplayer
my wife bought mine around October last year for £30 I think it was (with Flying Nightmares). The sliders are a pain. I know what you mean there. -
I have never played any of the iron angel games but will eventually. I recently picked up both Return Fire games so will look to get into these soon. I played back in the 90's with a friend and they were a lot of fun.

The best pick-up-and-play 3DO games
Magnum0ik replied to Rick Dangerous's topic in 3DO Interactive Multiplayer
I found this initially too. I also had on the mega cd and it was the same but if you hold (i think button b) with the turn, it performs properly. Without pressing the button it does nothing. I will look to beat soon - once I am done with Wing Commander 3. -

I am currently playing through Wing Commander 3 with a flight stick - I wouldn't play the game any other way now. I got the stick for Christmas with Flying Nightmares, boxed etc. It is a great addition. -
Where did you first encounter the 3DO?
Magnum0ik replied to Rick Dangerous's topic in 3DO Interactive Multiplayer
A friend of mine had one back in about 94, when they came out. He got it with Fifa and at the time had a Mega Drive so to me seeing Fifa life this was magic. After seeing games like Demolition Man (I am a big Stallone fan), Foes of Ali and others I had to have one so I traded my Mega Drive along with around 10 games and picked it up. I didn't really have a 3do for long as I got a little frustrated with, firstly I didn't know many people with one (only this 1 friend) and secondly, not many places were selling the games and there wasn't many games coming out (no internet then) so it wasn't long before I traded for a Saturn. I have regretted this ever since and I finally picked one up again around a year ago - I first got the FZ-1 a year or so ago and have since swapped this for the FZ-10 as I prefer this model. I am now building up the games, aiming for as close to a full set as I can get. -
Your Favorite 3DO exclusives?

Many games were designed as exclusive to the 3do. Unfortunately, due to the demise, they were then ported elsewhere - Space Hulk, Need for Speed, Fifa, Road Rash and others. In terms of ones that did not make it to any others, this is my list of favourites - Demolition Man Foes of Ali Captain Quazar Twisted Return Fire The Daedalus Encounter Killing Time (although I think this ended up on PC) I know there will be more but I am still early in re-collecting the games (I have around 40) so I haven't got to many yet. -
The best pick-up-and-play 3DO games

I always find Sewer Shark a great game for a quick play. I love the cheesy fmv and find this one a lot of fun. Road Rash is definitely a favourite of mine also. In terms of Top 10, I would say Wing Commander is up there - currently playing through this one again now I have picked up a flight stick. Road Rash, as mentioned above. Space Hulk - the best version of this game out there. I have just managed to also pick up a copy of Alone in the Dark finally so will dive into this when I receive.
